This Capcom Fanatical Bundle Is Perfect For Spooky Season
If your spooky season plans include turning down the lights and filling your relaxation time with jump scares, you'll want to check out Fanatical's new Capcom Horror Build Your Own Bundle, which lets you grab up to 19 PC games from the Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Dead Rising franchises. If you're not already aware, Fanatical's Build Your Own bundle deals let you pick as many games as you want from a list of options, and the more games you add, the more you save. The Capcom Horror Bundle starts at two items for $6.50 each, three for $6.33 each, or four or more games for $6.25 each. Even better, some of the items in the bundle are multi-game double packs, meaning you can stock up on quite a few Capcom action and horror titles for cheap. There's no limit on how many games you can select, which means you can get the entire bundle for just $87.47--which is a big discount compared to the $494.81 you'd pay buying each game at full price.
See bundle at FanaticalThis bundle contains a lot of really great titles, so we wouldn't blame you for maxing out your cart, but if you only want a few specific games because you already own some of them or just aren't interested in them all, you can do that as well.
If you're looking to maximize your spooky picks, you'll want to grab the Resident Evil titles in the bundle. In fact, thanks to this deal, you can experience the entire mainline Resident Evil series, starting with the Resident Evil & Resident Evil 0 Double Pack, which includes the HD remakes of the original Resident Evil and its prequel. You can also grab the recent remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 as separate picks, while the original Resident Evil 4 (not the 2023 remake) is available in a double pack with Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition. Resident Evil 6 Complete and Resident Evil 7 are also paired in a double pack, and you can cap it all off with the latest game, Resident Evil 8: Village. That will get you caught up on the mainline series ahead of Resident Evil 9 Requiem's launch on February 27, 2026--though if you need even more Resident Evil, there's also the Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 Deluxe Double Pack. It's worth noting that the 2023 Resident Evil 4 Remake is available outside the bundle for $34 (was $40) or $41 for the Gold Edition (was $50)

Sucker Punch Productions' open-world samurai sim Ghost of Yotei runs pretty well on PlayStation 5, but, of course, it's not without its issues. Some problems could block your progress in select missions permanently, but there's a new patch that has addressed many of these random occurrences, so you can keep clashing steel and hunting the Yotei Six without a hitch.
The team dropped the patch notes for Update 1.010 on Sucker Punch Productions' official website. The patch stabilizes the game by fixing two rare crashes as well as swapping out placeholder assets during a major story beat. But those are somewhat small potatoes when compared to the myriad gameplay tweaks that make the game even more playable than it already is on PS5.
For instance, your progress could be blocked during "The Way of the Kusarigama" mission if you warped into it at a specific point. Or your progress could be halted if you ignored the "armor upgrade" scene and left the area during "The Tale of the Oni" mission. Heck, your progress could be barred if you created a campsite in mission-critical stealth grass during "The Kusarigama’s Shame," didn't have flash bombs during the "Fighting Fire with Fire" mission, or--and this is very specific--saved and exited the game after interrogating the enemy but before defeating Saito's goons during the "Higashi Lumberyard" mission. There are more, but you get it.

Battlefield 6 is off to a franchise-best start with over 7 million copies sold so far. But that doesn't mean there isn't some room for improvement. Some BF6 players have been very vocal about their displeasure with the in-game sun and the overly bright lighting when players come outside of buildings. But a fix may be on the way.
Florian Le BiHan--Battlefield 6's principal game designer--responded to a player on X, and said that DICE is aware of the issue and "working on a set of improvements in this area." However, he didn't share a timeframe for when those improvements will be released.
Yes we're aware! We're working on a set of improvements in this area, we will have more to share in the near future!
— Florian - DRUNKKZ3 (@DRUNKKZ3) October 13, 2025In the meantime, some fans have tried some unconventional ways to deal with the glare and the resulting loss of detail.

Intellivision is getting a modern facelift, with the help of its old rival (in name) Atari. Loaded with 45 classic games, the Intellivision Sprint is a new system celebrating the original Atari 2600 competitor. Atari has opened up preorders for the console, which will launch December 5 for $150.
Atari stated in a press release that Intellivision Sprint was created in partnership with Plaion. The new console features two wireless controllers and "a USB-A port for library expansion." The games collection already installed on the system includes Baseball, Soccer, Astrosmash, Boulder Dash, and Sea Battle. In addition, two controller overlays are part of the package for every single title.
"We’re thrilled to celebrate Intellivision's 45th anniversary, and what better way to honor it than by bringing back this innovative console for fans to experience once again? Becoming caretakers of such an important brand is both a big responsibility and a very fun expansion of our work at Atari," said Matt Burett, the Atari VP of strategic operations.

A former God of War producer is raising the alarm on AAA development, saying that big-name publishers like Activision and Sony need to diversify their offerings more as there are great opportunities in smaller games.
Speaking to Game Developer at Gamescom Asia, former Sony Santa Monica Studio co-head and director of product development Meghan Morgan Juinio (who served as a producer on 2018's God of War) expressed concern over the games industry's untenable decision-making post-pandemic. In light of the myriad mass layoffs and studio closures plaguing the games industry in the last five or so years, Morgan Juinio believes that while the "payoff is potentially really large" for big publishers to continue pursuing franchises such as Call of Duty, there are also opportunities for AA and indie titles inside and outside of these series because gamers are seeking experiences that buck big-game conventions like bloated budgets, massive playtimes, and overwrought developments.
"I do also think there is an opportunity for those big players to also look to diversify into double-A and single-A, and then perhaps indie as well right?" she said. "And what size, shape, or form does that take? I don't know [...] but I think we need to look beyond the knee-jerk reaction of the pandemic and post-pandemic couple of years and really think about who do we want to be? What kind of product do we want to put out? We need to plot out intentionally how we're going to get there."

See at AmazonPrime Big Deal Days ended on October 8, but folks looking to upgrade their PC setup can still check out a few great Logitech deals available at Amazon right now. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless Mouse is down to one of its best prices of the year, while the Logitech G413 SE and G502 Hero Bundle gets you an impressive mouse and keyboard for just $97.72 (was $160). Both of these are limited-time deals, though it's unclear when Amazon plans to end the price cuts.
Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse $95 (was $150)
Besides a few good discounts in February and March, this is the best price we've seen for the Logitech G Pro X Superlight this year. Equipped with the Hero 25K Sensor for accurate movement tracking, five programmable buttons, and a weight of just 63 grams, it’s a good choice for fast-paced FPS games. Its PTFE feet also help it glide across most surfaces, and you shouldn't have to worry about any input lag thanks to Logitech's Lightspeed technology--which uses a USB receiver for rapid responses.
The wireless gaming mouse is compatible with both PC and Mac, though the deal is only available for the black model. Opt for the white model and you'll pay $100.
See at Amazon Logitech G413 SE Keyboard + Logitech G502 Hero Mouse Bundle $97.72 (was $160)
If you prefer wired connections for their reliability, take a peek at this G413 SE and G502 Hero bundle. Both products are wired, and if you're playing an MMO or other game that could benefit from dozens of inputs, the G502 Hero Gaming Mouse and its 11 programmable buttons could be a good fit. It's also equipped with the Hero 25K Sensor like the G Pro X Superlight above, though its design is decidedly more aggressive and "gamer." As a bonus, its weight can be adjusted using five 3.6 gram weights.
The G413 SE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is a full keyboard with F Keys and a numpad, so it's a nice fit for both gaming and working. Its aluminum top case should make it durable enough to hold up nicely over the years (or during rage-inducing key smashings), and its tactile mechanical switches are built to be highly responsive. It also benefits from 6-key rollover, LED lighting, and PBT keycaps.
See at AmazonAlongside these two Logitech deals, a bunch of Asus products are also discounted at Amazon right now. This includes the Asus ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Wireless Mouse for $70.49 (was $150) and the Asus ROG Azoth Wireless Mechanical 75% Keyboard for $155 (was $275). The former is even lighter than the Logitech G Pro X Superlight at just 54 grams, while the latter is a 75% board with a unique OLED display that can show your system info, an audio visualizer, or simple animations. It's a stylish model equipped with swappable ROG NX mechanical switches, tons of RGB lights, and support for Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connections.
The Keris II Ace Wireless Gaming Mouse is on sale for $100 (was $180), and with a 107-hour battery life, micro switches rated for 100 million clicks, and the reliable ROG AimPoint Pro 42K Optical Sensor, it's worth a closer look if you don't mind upping your budget. The Falchion Ace HFX 65% Keyboard is discounted, too, which could be a better choice if you're working with a small desktop or need to save space for sweeping mouse movements. Be sure to check out the Asus ROG Scabbard II Gaming Mouse Pad and Extended Mouse Pad to round out your setup.
Continue Reading at GameSpotSuper Meat Boy 3D Is A Messy Attempt At Going 3D
Super Meat Boy is the poster child for tough-as-nails precision platforming. The 2010 2D platformer starring a slab of meat was a viral hit in part because the game knew how difficult it was, and emphasized your repeated deaths by showing you each of them simultaneously once you finally completed a level. I've been curious to see how that 2D precision would translate into the realm of a 3D platformer. Unfortunately, based on a brief gameplay demo, the answer is: not very well.
My demo covered the earliest stages of the game, from a handful of tutorials through a few longer levels covered with traps and hazards. And to its credit, Meat Boy 3D nails the fundamentals of what you would expect from a Super Meat Boy game. You're once again a squishy, squelchy slab of unidentified, bloody meat, running through hazard-filled stages to save your girlfriend, Bandage Girl, from the evil Dr. Fetus. At the end of every stage, you reach Bandage Girl, only to have Dr. Fetus snatch her away to the next stage. Then you get to watch a replay simultaneously showing your every attempt, with many Meat Boys scrambling ahead and all but one of them meeting their grisly doom, summarizing your journey through the stage. The irreverent humor is all very recognizable, even including a little warp pipe gag to reference Meat Boy's Super Mario Bros. inspirations.
While you have full 3D control, in the early stages I played, the layouts lent themselves to the eight cardinal directions. Like its predecessors, Super Meat Boy 3D is focused on pushing you to move through levels as fast as possible--the tutorials introduce the dash button early, and you can't really get enough momentum for most jumps without it--and you're mostly going in straight lines or diagonals. Presumably this is to keep these early stages easily readable and to avoid overwhelming the player with too much freedom of movement before they really get a feel for it.

Embark Studios has launched a free open test for Arc Raiders, with the studio aiming to put the servers to the test before the PvPvE extraction shooter officially launches on October 30.
The "server slam," as it's being referred to, is live now through October 19 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Not everyone is seeing the Steam client appear right now, but it's said to be rolling out in waves, so keep checking back.
As announced previously, the Arc Raiders free test allows people to try the Dam Battleground map and experience the progression, crafting, and quest systems. For Embark Studios, the test is being undertaken to help the studio prepare its servers for launch.

Battlefield Studios has addressed the Battlefield 6 progression elephant in the room, explaining how it intends to patch out "XP farms" and improve player development in the long term. In an update that has begun rolling out across all platforms, players can look forward to a boost to experience points gained from match completion--this has been increased by 10%--and XP from completing daily challenges has increased by 40%.
The XP needed to unlock the first 20 Attachment Ranks has also been reduced, and the other big change is that the assignments that required players to reach career ranks 20, 23, and 26 have been adjusted, and will now require them to reach ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively.
These updates come at a time when players have begun reporting that servers were filled to maximum capacity, as players would join matches populated with bots so that they could farm for XP quickly and improve their stats by taking on opponents who don't pose as much of a threat as your typical human player.

As part of the ongoing Sony vs. Tencent lawsuit, a lot of information that was not intended to be made public is being made public, and now another morsel of news has emerged. Documents from the lawsuit reveal that PlayStation Productions boss Asad Qizilbash gave a sworn declaration stating that the upcoming Horizon live-action movie is aiming to release in 2027.
Qizilbash said in the testimony, filed on October 16, that there is already a "working script" for the film and that the team is "actively searching for a director," according to The Game Post. No names were divulged as candidates to direct, however. What Qizilbash did say, though, is that the goal is to begin shooting the Horizon movie in 2026 and release it in 2027.
PlayStation Productions and Columbia Pictures previously worked together on the Tom Holland-starring Uncharted movie and Gran Turismo. PlayStation Productions and Columbia Pictures are both owned by Sony.

Marvel Rivals developer NetEase has revealed the game's first-ever PvE mode, and fittingly, it's a ghoulish addition to the game that will launch on October 23. As part of a collaboration with Marvel Animation, Marvel Rivals players can hop into Zombie Mode starting next week.
Inspired by last month's Marvel Zombies miniseries, the mode features a select team of heroes--Thor, Jeff, Magik, Blade, and the Punisher--joining forces to take on endless waves of zombies.
Not only will players have to survive against a horde of the undead, but they'll also face off against Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead. Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo added that each playable hero will have a few unique abilities to help even the odds, like Thor having a persistent Awakened state to shock nearby zombies, Magik's Darkchild form, and Jeff's ability to charge through enemies.

Glen Schofield, a video game industry veteran known for co-creating the Dead Space series and working on multiple Call of Duty games, has said the gaming industry is facing major challenges and that developers can look to artificial intelligence technologies to help solve some of the issues. Schofield made these comments at the same time that many in the video game industry have raised concerns, objections, and fears about the further adoption and implementation of AI.
"We need to fix the gaming industry right now," Schofield said at Gamescom Asia recently, as reported by IGN. "It's broken. It's beaten, it's battered, our developers are battered, they've been taking it on the chin for the last couple of years. We need to bring it back to what it was. Instead of all this negativity."
The games industry should embrace AI, not fear it, Schofield said.

The former creative lead of the Assassin's Creed series wants to clarify that it wasn't his choice to step away from the franchise. Earlier this week, Marc-Alexis Côté left Ubisoft after roughly 20 years with the company--including the last three as vice president and executive producer of Assassin's Creed.
On LinkedIn, Côté stated that he's still passionate about Assassin's Creed, and he didn't "make that choice" to leave the series. "I did not walk away. I stayed at my post until Ubisoft asked me to step aside," said Côté, who prefaced this by saying he's not resentful toward Ubisoft.
Earlier this month, Ubisoft announced that a new subsidiary named Vantage Studios will oversee the Assassin's Creed franchise, along with Rainbow Six and Far Cry. With this reorganization, Côté noted that Ubisoft "decided to transfer the leadership of the Assassin’s Creed franchise." As previously reported, a "different position was mentioned" to Côté, but he said "it did not carry the same scope, mandate, or continuity" of what he was doing over the past few years.

After less than two days, Battlefield Studios has announced that it's reverting the recent Battlefield 6 ticket changes based on feedback. For anyone just catching up, the developer said on Wednesday that ticket numbers for Conquest maps would drop from 1000 to lower values, but less than 48 hours later, the developer confirmed the ticket numbers are reverting back to 1000 for all maps.
All Conquest matches now begin with 1,000 tickets for each side and a 45-minute time limit. The developer previously dropped the starting ticket numbers down to 700-900 depending on the map, a decision the company made to help speed up matches. But that's all changing now, and Battlefield Studios said people may face longer matches on larger maps like Mirak Valley and Firestorm.
"We'll continue monitoring player feedback and gameplay data to ensure the pacing and overall flow of matches feel right," the developer said.

One thing to note here is that the controller is only compatible with original Switch Joy-Cons and not the new controllers that came with the Switch 2. You'll need to have a right Joy-Con plugged into the controller, but these are widely available. Amazon currently has a great deal on a single right-hand Joy-Con, as it's selling these for $29.86 (was $50). These are "renewed" models on sale, which means that they're refurbished controllers. The other option is a traditional two-pack of Switch Joy-Con controllers, and these typically retail for $80 for a brand-new set.
- Switch Joy-Con controller (Neon red right-hand model, Amazon Renewed) -- $29.86 ($50)
- Switch Joy-Con controllers (White, Amazon Renewed) -- $55

The CRKD Gibson Les Paul Wireless Guitar controllers work on multiple platforms, with pricing starting at $115 for the Black Tribal Encore edition and $125 for the Blueberry Burst Pro version. The company also offers the Neo S, a smaller controller priced at $60 that comes equipped with a five-fret attachment.

The Switch 2 has consistently shattered expectations in the four months since its release, breaking sales records and bolstering overall industry figures while other hardware manufacturers have struggled. Nintendo expects the Switch 2's momentum to continue, and has ramped up production of the console.
Nintendo has asked its suppliers to produce 25 million Switch 2 units by March next year, Bloomberg reports citing anonymous sources close to the company. The console has thrived in its first few months on the market, and Nintendo is doubtless counting on demand to stay strong following the release of Pokemon Legends Z-A, and onwards into the busy holiday season.
The increase in production suggests Nintendo is easily on track to beat analysts estimate of 17.6 million consoles sold in its first fiscal year--itself higher than Nintendo's own conservative estimate of 15 million units given to investors. The new production plan suggests Nintendo may sell as many as 20 million units this fiscal year.

Depite carrying the Legends subtitle, it turns out that Pokemon Legends: Z-A is far more of a sequel to Pokemon X & Y than to its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Arceus--and the clues have always been right there in the name.
As mentioned in GameSpot's review of the latest Pokemon title, Legends: Z-A can easily be considered a sequel to generation 6 titles Pokemon X & Y--it's set in Lumiose City just five years after the events of that game, and brings back many of that game's characters, Pokemon, and even Mega Evolutions. Looking back, the game's status as a sequel has always been right there in the name--following on from X and Y, the next letter of the alphabet is Z, then it would cycle all the way back around to A.
The name could also be a reference to Pokemon Z, a rumored Pokemon title that many expected would be released following X & Y. All the signs seemed to be there for a Zygarde-centered gen 6 sequel, following the long tradition of third Pokemon releases like Crystal or Emerald, but Pokemon Z never eventuated. Instead it took over a decade for X & Y to finally get its follow-up, even if the name also bears the Legends subtitle.
