Take-Two Boss Feels "Really Good" About Switch 2 Amid Reports Of RDR 2 Port
Take-Two has confirmed that it plans to launch numerous "new iterations of prior releases" in the time ahead, and this news comes amid reports of a GTA 4 port for modern consoles and Red Dead Redemption II for Switch 2. For Switch 2 specifically, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick said he is a "big believer" in the console, which is only fueling the speculation online about the possibility of more Take-Two titles coming to the system.
A slide from Take-Two's earnings briefing shows off some of the games that Take-Two has coming during its Fiscal Years 2026, 2027, and 2028. As you can see, Take-Two has 38 titles listed for released by the end of FY 2028 (April 1, 2028), and only 12 have been announced so far.
Given that, Take-Two surely has numerous announcements still to come, though the company also cautioned that, "It is likely that some of these titles will not be developed through to completion" or that release dates could change. Take-Two said it might add more games to the slate, too.

Prior to this month, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick assured investors that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 6 was on track for a 2025 debut, while also acknowledging the possibility of a delay. However, the game was pushed back to a May 2026 release earlier this month. Now, Zelnick has shared his reaction to GTA 6's delay after offering an explanation.
While speaking with IGN, Zelnick noted that GTA 6 needed the extra time for the developers to polish the title and turn it into become the game that fans want it to be.
"As we get closer to completion of a title that's seeking perfection, the needs or lack thereof, for continued polish become clear," said Zelnick "In this case there was an opportunity with a small amount of incremental time, we thought, to make sure Rockstar Games achieves its creative vision with no limitations. And I supported of course that approach."

Stellar Blade is coming to PC on June 11, but strangely, the Steam version of the game won't be available for over 130 countries. This news has come as a surprise to developer Shift Up, as the studio has been bombarded with messages on its social media platforms from players sharing screenshots of the game being blocked from sale in their respective countries.
Major markets like Europe and the US are unaffected, but the game will be unavailable to players in other countries like Bangladesh, Fiji, and Botswana.
So what's the cause here? That's currently unclear, but this might be a case that's similar to Helldivers 2. Shortly after the game was released on PC, it became mandatory for players on that platform to create and link a PlayStation Network account to keep playing the game. There was a huge backlash to this move--that was later scrapped--and Helldivers 2 was subsequently unavailable for purchase because of it in many countries at the time.

Highlander: The Complete Animated Series
Preorder on AmazonThe Highlander franchise has seen multiple movies and TV series over the years, including an animated series in the mid-1990s. Part of a trend where popular R-rated action films received animated adaptations aimed at kids--RoboCop and Rambo to name a few--the Highlander animated series first premiered in 1994. Now, over 30 years later, the full series is coming to Blu-ray with the Highlander: The Complete Animated Series. The Blu-ray collection launches July 29, and preorders are now available at Amazon.
Highlander: The Complete Animated Series $30 | Releases July 29Highlander: The Complete Animated Series includes all 40 episodes of the two-season animated cartoon. It's worth noting that the series is presented in standard definition, and no bonus material is included, so this is pretty much a basic collection on a single Blu-ray disc. Nevertheless, it will likely be the best way to watch this '90s series in 2025.
Preorder on AmazonSet centuries after a cataclysm plunged humanity back into a post-apocalyptic dark ages, Highlander: The Animated Series kicks off with a secret society of immortals pledging to protect the people, but fellow immortal Kortan seizes this opportunity to establish a new empire that he rules with an iron fist. In time, a new immortal, Quentin MacLeod, rises to challenge him, and the series chronicles his quest to become powerful enough to topple the evil empire. Unsurprisingly, the animated series made a big change to the lore of Highlander to maintain a kid-friendly rating. But even without seeing heads roll, the show still featured a surprising amount of mature content, like character deaths and the exploration of morally gray characters.
HighlanderHighlander: The Animated Series is of course based on the the Highlander film franchise, which has seen five feature-length movies, an anime movie, and even a six-season live action TV show. Unfortunately, most of these are currently out of print and hard to track down. Luckily, the first--and best--Highlander film is available on Blu-ray, and if you're looking to revisit the original film and its hard-rocking Queen soundtrack, you can pick up the Highlander: The Director's Cut 30th Anniversary Edition on 4K Blu-ray for $16.49. This comes with a ton of bonus materials, like a look at the film's iconic soundtrack and audio commentary tracks on the 4K disc, as well as a standard Blu-ray version of the film accompanied by various archival features pulled from previous DVD and Blu-ray releases.

The final pre-launch specs for the Switch 2 have been revealed, and one ongoing mystery has been answered--the Switch 2 will not support variable refresh rate in docked mode, at least not at launch.
Digital Foundry has released a final look at the Switch 2's tech specs, including more details on the console's custom Nvidia processor, and the resources developers will be able to use when making software for the Switch 2. The tech breakdown also confirmed that the Switch 2 will only support VRR in handheld mode, and not while docked.
The question of VRR has been a bit of a mystery for the Switch 2--the console was initially announced as having VRR support in docked mode, as long as it was being used with a VRR-compatible display. The references to VRR were later removed from the Nintendo website, as spotted by Digital Foundry, leaving it unclear whether the console would support VRR.

Epic Games has announced that Apple has "blocked" its submission to the App Store and Epic Games Store on iOS, meaning that Fortnite won't be available on Apple devices globally for the foreseeable future.
The news comes around two weeks after Epic Games announced that Fortnite would be back on iOS, after a judge filed a major injunction against Apple. A post on the official Fortnite X account reads, "Apple has blocked our Fortnite submission so we cannot release to the US App Store or to the Epic Games Store for iOS in the European Union. Now, sadly, Fortnite on iOS will be offline worldwide until Apple unblocks it."
The official Fortnite X account announced on May 9 that the game had been submitted for review on the App Store, however the company was left waiting an unusually long time without hearing back from Apple with either approval or rejection. Apple's developer website states that 90% of submissions are reviewed within 24 hours, and says developers will be emailed with any status changes.

Nearly three years ago, Netflix revealed plans to make a Gears of War movie based on the popular video game franchise. Now, the streamer is reportedly circling John Wick co-director David Leitch to bring Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad to live-action.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leitch is currently in negotiations to helm Gears of War, but his deal hasn't been closed yet. Leitch is a former stuntman who wasn't credited for co-directing the original John Wick with Chad Stahelski. Since then, Leitch has established himself as a solo director with Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy.
Even if Leitch's contract with Netflix does eventually get signed, Gears of War seemingly won't be his next film. The director is reportedly preparing to shoot Amazon MGM Studio's heist thriller How to Rob a Bank, which has Nicholas Hoult and Anna Sawai attached to star in it.
Continue Reading at GameSpotGTA 5 Has Sold An Absolutely Absurd Amount Of Copies In The Last Three Months
All game delays have their silver linings, and it looks like Grand Theft Auto VI's might just be the fact that it's given a lot of players more time to experience GTA V.
Earlier today, Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive held its quarterly investor presentation, during which it revealed that the critically-acclaimed action-adventure game has now reached 215 million copies sold. Back in February, that number--while still extremely high--was around 210 million. This means that in the last three months, the 12-year-old game has sold a staggering five million additional copies. To put that into perspective, Monster Hunter Wilds is currently 2025's best-selling game and sits at about 10 million units sold after being released back in February. Though GTA V still has quite a ways to go if it wants to take down the top two best-selling video games of all time, this is still an incredibly impressive feat.
This investor presentation marks the first one held by Take-Two Interactive since Grand Theft Auto VI's delay. Despite this setback, the company repeatedly emphasized its upcoming slate of games for 2025--Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country being the most notable--and the gaming industry's projected growth.

Valve has confirmed that your Steam password, or other private information, did not leak. On top of that, Valve stated that the leak came from a different source than Steam, and does not provide info linked to your Steam account in any way you need to worry about.
In a statement sent to GameSpot, a Valve representative said "Yesterday we were made aware of reports of leaks of older text messages that had previously been sent to Steam customers. We have examined the leak sample and have determined this was NOT a breach of Steam systems."
The security company Underdark was the first to report the alleged leaks, writing on LinkedIn that information from 89 million Steam accounts was being sold on the dark web. However, Valve has corrected that, as the leak came from the SMS service that sends temporary two-factor login codes. Valve said that the phone numbers were leaked, but that any information related to your Steam account, including which account the phone numbers are tied to, was not leaked.

Nintendo has unveiled a new feature for Mario Kart World, and it's one you might not have expected: binoculars.
Revealed on the Nintendo Today app, where Nintendo regularly posts bits of news, will feature stationary binoculars you can find in specific locations around the open world. In a short video, Mario is shown approaching the binoculars before being sent up into the air, where you can look around in a zoomed in first-person view. This was done in the desert area shown off in the reveal trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2, with looks at the diner, parts of the track, and a plane flying overhead.
Nintendo shared new footage of Mario Kart World.

Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is well-known for crafting games that speculate on what our collective future might entail. However, recent events have left the game director taking a deeper look at his own future, and what might become of Kojima Productions when dies.
In an interview with Edge Magazine (later reported on by VGC), Kojima said that falling "seriously ill" during the pandemic inspired him to re-evaluate his career ambitions and how much time he has left as a creator. After recovering, the Death Stranding 2 director made the decision to give a "USB stick with all my ideas on it" to his personal assistant as a way to ensure the studio has new ideas to toy around with after he is gone. Kojima likened the storage device to a "will" of sorts.
"Perhaps they could continue to make things after I’m gone at Kojima Productions… This is a fear for me: what happens to Kojima Productions after I’m gone? I don’t want them to just manage our existing IP," Kojima said.
