Randomizer Mod For Elden Ring Nightreign Now Available On PC
Although Elden Ring Nightreign has elements of randomization, a new PC mod will let players randomize their runs in even more ways.
Created by thefifthmatt, the Nightregin Randomizer and Derandomizer can be downloaded from Nexus Mods. As the mod's name states, this also includes a derandomizer that allows for "more deterministic runs".
Given that Elden Ring Nightreign already has a procedurally generated system, the modder notes that players may only notice the difference of the randomizer with variations of Night Bosses. "Under the hood, it's creating map patterns nearly from scratch and has a tremendous amount of freedom in its placements," they write. "In the future this can be extended to randomizing enemies and bosses within maps and in-depth placement customization."

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 contains a number of Easter eggs and references to pop culture, but not all of them are going over well. One specific reference has been discovered that might not have been intended to be in the game in the first place, prompting the game's developer to issue a statement.
A fan discovered that a game bearing a resemblance to Guitar Hero is in a trash can. The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater developer, Neversoft, also made multiple Guitar Hero games, and some are taking the inclusion of the game in the trash can as a sign of disrespect to Neversoft (which closed in 2014). Others say it's a simple joke. For its part, Iron Galaxy said it doesn't know how this happened, but it will remove it soon.

Diablo 4 Content Creators Just Got A Secret Glimpse Of The Game's Future
It sounds like big changes are on the horizon for Diablo 4. A group of Diablo 4 content creators recently took to social media to announce they'd seen the future of developer Blizzard's ARPG after attending a special presentation, and that Blizzard has "been cooking" with what it has planned.
Content creators like Maxroll's Wudijo and Lucky Luciano, as well as Warlugtv from Mobalytics, took to social media over the weekend to share their excitement and give Diablo 4 players some hope for the future based on what they had seen during a closed Blizzard presentation. Actual concrete details on what was shown weren't shared, but the social media reactions hint at updates or changes to Diablo 4's core systems as opposed to new features related to the game's second expansion slated to arrive in 2026.
It's worth keeping in mind that some of these content creators have officially worked with Blizzard in the past, and it is currently unclear if any of them were compensated for attending the meeting and offering feedback.

Battlefield 6, or whatever the new game ends up being called, is currently only available via a closed alpha test, but an open beta may be planned for the future, according to datamining efforts.
MP1ST reports that Battlefield fans have discovered a string of text in the game's code that references a "Battlefield 6 open beta." This stemmed from the game's newest client update for the Battlefield Labs test. This kind of thing is never meant to be seen by the public, so it's possible "Battlefield 6" is a placeholder name, or that there is no open beta and that the text itself is a placeholder.
Previous datamining efforts have revealed things like the first glimpse at a rumored Battlefield battle royale mode and the game's campaign.

Not even a month after launch, Broken Arrow has received a hefty new update for the real-time strategy game. The patch lets players alter their map size in skirmish and custom lobbies; previously, this was automatically selected by the game. In addition, developer Steel Balalaika Studio has addressed anti-cheat issues.
Update 1.08 for Broken Arrow introduces new PvE scenarios on the Kaliningrad and Ruda maps, for up to three players. Meanwhile, the sprint cooldown for infantry is being slashed in half, down to 30 seconds. Steel Balalaika says it doesn't want to make too many balance changes all at once, so is starting with this alteration.
As for cheating, there have been over 2,000 players banned in Broken Arrow. However, the developer is investigating possible banishments that were unfairly handed out to people. For instance, Steel Balalaika noted on Steam that players utilizing cheats only in single-player modes could have been banned from multiplayer, since the anti-cheat system can't differentiate between the two.

Donkey Kong Bananza is the next major first-party exclusive to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, but story details are leaking online ahead of its release later this week.
As reported in IGN, early copies of the game have reached several fans, and story details are already being shared online. Nintendo fans are advised to be careful in their clicks and searches over the coming days ahead of the game's official release on July 17.
While story is not usually a focus in the Donkey Kong series, Donkey Kong Bananza see the titular ape partnering with a teenaged Pauline, a character who had previously leaked before her official reveal in last month's Donkey Kong Bananza Direct. The revelation has already prompted plenty of speculation over the Donkey Kong timeline and whether this game could be a prequel, or another universe altogether.

Following observations last week that the Blue Archive PC release could be breaking Steam policies, Nexon has announced that it has terminated a controversial in-game event. The Steam event incentivized players to leave reviews for Blue Archive on Valve's storefront, which goes against the Steamworks documentation. Alongside the event's termination, no rewards earned for reaching the goal will be distributed.
In a statement posted to the Steam news section for Blue Archive, Nexon says that "following the launch of the Steam client, we prepared this event and rewards for all Senseis as a way to create a better service together through your valuable feedback. However, during the process of announcing the reward distribution linked to review submissions, we discovered that certain aspects could potentially conflict with platform policies. As a result, we have decided to terminate the event early."
It continues, "Please understand that, in order to comply with platform policies, the rewards for this event will not be distributed." Nexon goes on to promise that it will "take even greater care" when planning future events to ensure it is not going against any other platform policies, while striving to "provide a better service" for its players.

Ludeon Studios has released RimWorld: Odyssey, a massive new expansion for the sci-fi colony sim. This releases alongside a free 1.6 update that is also available to those who only own the base game.
Odyssey marks the sixth major expansion for RimWorld and includes a focus on exploration. These new biomes also introduces new landmarks, such as cliffs, fjords, and ancient structures where you can find more resources.
The gravship can also take you out of your planet and into space, where there are wrecked orbital platforms, derelict satellites and asteroids to explore and acquire more resources from, though you can expect some dangerous competition from space scavengers and killer mechanoids. You'll also need to ensure your gravship is prepared against the harsh conditions of space, from maintaining power to oxygen pumps to building airlocks to prevent deppressurization.

Even before The Super Mario Bros. Movie was a smash hit for Universal Pictures and Illumination, it was rumored that more movies based on Nintendo's classic characters were on the way. Now, it looks like Donkey Kong is on deck to get his own film.
Universal and Nintendo have jointly filed a copyright (via IGN) for an "untitled Donkey Kong motion picture." It's ironic because decades earlier, Universal and Nintendo battled it out in court over whether Donkey Kong infringed upon King Kong. Nintendo went on to win when that case when the company's lawyer demonstrated that Universal had already argued that King Kong was in the public domain.
The two companies buried the hatchet a long time ago, and they collectively raked in $1.361 billion worldwide from the first Mario Bros. movie. The sequel, which is reportedly called The Super Mario World Movie, will be released on April 3, 2026. Nintendo's other major project in Hollywood, the live-action Legend of Zelda movie, was recently delayed until May 7, 2027.

BioShock creator Ken Levine has shed new light on his upcoming next game, Judas. Speaking to Nightdive's Lawrence Sonntag in a wide-ranging interview, Levine described Judas as being an "old-school" kind of game, adding that it eschews modern trends like online and live service.
"You buy the game and you get the whole thing. There's no online component, there's no live service, because everything we do is in service of telling the story and transporting the player," he said, as reported by GamesRadar.
Levine went on to say he doesn't want to "diss" developers who make those kinds of games, noting that they are expensive to make and companies want to see a return on investment. For Levine and his studio Ghost Story Games, the developer said he feels fortunate that company owner Take-Two gives the team freedom. "We're very fortunate to work at a company where they believe in us enough that they say, 'OK, you've been working on this thing for a long time, it's gonna cost a reasonable amount of money, and we're not gonna push any of that stuff on you,'" he said.

Fans can sign up for the playtest on StarRupture's Steam page. When the co-op is active, up to four players can work together in this world. In the meantime, the single-player playtest will focus on letting players build bases and explore, and build up their survival and combat skills. Character progression will allow players to unlock new mods and new buildings. Additionally, players will be able to customize their abilities to match their play styles.

There's nothing worse in The Sims 4 than encountering bugs in gameplay, especially when you've run into something unusual that's difficult to do a Google search about. It's an inevitable thing, though. The Sims 4 is more than a decade old--it's an early PlayStation 4 game, after all--and so some serious creakiness is to be expected. Things just break down and get messy from time to time.
Fortunately, The Sims 4 has been so popular that it'd be tough to encounter a bug that's completely unique to you. At this point, we've got a fairly clear set of steps you can take to figure out what's wrong when your game is just kinda freaking out on you. Scroll on for your best options.
Reset your Sim(s)Sometimes your Sims will be going about their business when they just stop responding to orders and seemingly freeze up. It's the most common issue in The Sims 4, and the first thing to try in those situations is to reset the bugged-out Sim in question. To do this, open the cheat console by pressing ctrl+shft+C on PC, or by holding down all four shoulder buttons on Xbox or Playstation. Next, type ResetSim and then the name of the Sim in question--like "ResetSim Dina Caliente." If you've activated cheats (console command "testingcheats true"), PC and Mac users will also have the quicker option of pressing shift while clicking on the Sim, and then choosing the option "Reset Sim (Debug)."

See at Amazon8BitDo has partnered with Xbox on a new edition of its Ultimate Mobile Bluetooth Controller. Unlike the original model that 8BitDo debuted last holiday season, the Xbox-licensed model supports iPhone. We'll be testing the revised model in the coming weeks and will update this article with our impressions, but it has the same features as the Android-only original--and that controller is great.
Like all 8BitDo controllers, the Ultimate Mobile Bluetooth carries a budget-friendly price: $50. But even from a manufacturer known for offering customizable pro-style controllers with high-end performance at low prices, the $50 price is a bit surprising. 8BitDo's other collaborations with Xbox--Series X|S controllers, arcade sticks, a keyboard and matching mouse--generally cost a bit more than comparable versions without the Xbox license. But the $50 price here matches the cost of the Android version, and the new one supports iPhone and Android. It swaps the normal 8BitDo home button for an Xbox button, which can be used to pull up the Xbox Cloud Gaming guide menu.
8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Bluetooth Controller for iOS & Android (Black) $50 | Officially licensed by XboxThe 8BitDo Ultimate Mobile Bluetooth Controller is ready to ship now at Amazon with Prime delivery. It's available in two colors, black or white. Both models have black sticks, face buttons with the standard Xbox color scheme, and the retro-style D-pad found on most 8BitDo controller. It has tactile handles that are contoured to look and feel quite similar to a console/PC controller.
The Ultimate's numerous premium components and features make it a serious competitor to mobile controllers that retail for double the price (or more). It has two remappable back buttons that will feel familiar to those who have used one of 8BitDo's Ultimate Controllers for PC or Nintendo Switch.
The full-sized thumbsticks utilize Hall Effect sensors, which offer a smoother feel and are generally more durable than conventional analog sticks because you don't have to worry about stick drift. The right and left triggers are activated via Hall Effect sensors as well. With 8BitDo's Ultimate Software V2, you can remap inputs, adjust stick and trigger sensitivity, and create up to three custom profiles.
The stretchable bridge is large enough to fit all iPhone models and most Android phones. As long as your device is within the range of 100-170mm (3.93-6.69in) in length, you're good to go. For reference, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple's largest edition so far, is 6.42 inches.
The phone cradle offers a secure fit thanks to a few design features. It has a rubberized back and tabs on each side to grip your phone while also preventing scratches. The back sheet of rubber is dotted with a series of button symbols that create a textured feel. Additionally, the bottom corners jut out slightly from the handles for extra support.
Since it connects wirelessly to your device via Bluetooth, you can also use it with Android tablets, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and even the Apple Vision Pro. 8BitDo says the 300mAh battery offers up to 13 hours on a full charge (1.5 hours to recharge).
