Embracer Is Teasing A "Long-Awaited" Game, And It's Probably Not The Gothic Remake
Embracer Group teased that it'll be releasing a mysterious, "long-awaited" game sometime during the next fiscal year.
This (via Shinobi602 on X) came as part of the company's Q3 2025 interim report, which informs investors on how the company at large is doing. While providing an outlook of the upcoming fiscal year, the report states, "we look forward to one long-awaited, major, in-house developed and in-house published title together with a range of important mid-sized titles."
For Embracer Group, the next fiscal year will take place between April 2026 and March 2027. That means we should expect a high-profile game from one of the studios and from one of the publishers the troubled gaming conglomerate owns. The fact that the report won't directly name the game makes it even more mysterious.

Earlier this week, Overwatch debuted the game's latest support hero, Jetpack Cat. But it hasn't taken long for players to figure how to utilize Jetpack Cat's abilities in unexpected ways that are making Overwatch's battles even wilder than before.
For example, using Jetpack Cat to carry allies can give a team a tactical advantage as they rain fire from above.
One Overwatch player on Instagram described the following pairing of Jetpack Cat and Reaper as "the chandelier of death and despair."

Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most heavily hyped video games ever, and everyone is expecting the game to have a giant launch later this year. But just how much money could the game bring in?
According to broker data company Visible Alpha, GTA 6 is estimated to reach $5 billion in revenue by 2030, the Financial Times reported. It could sell 100 million copies by that time period, the firm predicted.
This follows on from a previous estimate from DFC Intelligence that said GTA 6 could sell 40 million copies and bring in $3.2 billion during its first year alone. That figure includes revenue from physical and digital game sales, as well as microtransactions. DFC also predicted that GTA 6 will get another sales boost when it comes to the (unannounced but expected) next PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC.

Overwatch players might feel as if they're facing off against a Spartan in recent matches. Fans were quick to draw comparisons between Emre, one of five new heroes added to Blizzard's multiplayer shooter, to Master Chief from Halo, prompting some to clamor for an official crossover.
As observed by GamesRadar, the resemblance between Emre's abilities and Halo mechanics go beyond the character just being a guy with a gun--his three-round-burst rifle is remarkably like the Battle Rifle from the Xbox-published franchise, and his semi-automatic pistol packs a punch like Halo's Magnum.
And not only do his frag grenades behave like Halo grenades (even letting players grenade jump), but one of Emre's perks can make them stick to opponents. You can even argue that his passive health regeneration ability is similar to how a Spartan would regenerate armor. And to top it all off, he interacts with a Cortana-like AI program.

The 30th anniversary for Diablo means all sorts of cool announcements--like the newest Warlock class on the way for multiple games--but so far, Switch 2 isn't a part of the celebration. Eurogamer decided to ask developer Blizzard about Diablo IV coming to Nintendo's new system or even a Switch 2 upgrade for Diablo II: Resurrected. A spokesperson responded that they had nothing to comment on about those topics.
Earlier this week, Blizzard revealed major updates for Diablo IV and Diablo II: Resurrected. The former is receiving the Lord of Hatred expansion in April, while the latter just got the Reign of the Warlock DLC (which is available on Switch).
The dungeon-crawler franchise first arrived on a Nintendo platform with Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Switch in 2018. In fact, the game even got The Legend of Zelda crossover items, such as a Triforce portrait. This was followed by Blizzard bringing Diablo II: Resurrected to Switch in 2021, so there is precedent for the series on Nintendo's home console.

Bowser's Fury is celebrating its 5-year anniversary today, February 12, 2025. Below, we look at how the unusual experiment married classic Mario level design with an open world, and what it could mean for the future.
Bowser's Fury launched as a bonus, bundled alongside a game Nintendo had already finished selling to its audience. Five years later, that framing feels misleading. What looked like an extra now reads as a compressed design thesis, a Mario game caught between the tight structure of its past and the exploratory freedom that could shape its future.
Bowser's Fury occupies a strange and revealing place in Mario's long history. Released as a companion to Super Mario 3D World on the Nintendo Switch, it was easy to treat it as a six-hour-long side adventure rather than a statement. Now it reads less like an add-on and more like a snapshot of Mario in transition, capturing a rare middle ground between the tightly structured design of 3D World and the freeform exploration that has defined 3D Mario since Super Mario 64.

Releasing Pokemon into the wild is never fun. Even if you've become apathetic towards your little creatures, it's a pain to catalogue and release hundreds of Pokemon for the sole purpose of freeing up Box space. Modern games, like Pokemon Legends: Z-A, make this process quicker by letting you release multiple Pokemon, but there's no tangible gameplay benefit to sending your Pokemon back to where they came from. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Capcom's monster-taming spin-off series, puts an exciting twist on this mundane aspect of the genre. It's called Habitat Restoration, and after playing 10 hours of Monster Hunter Stories 3, it might just be my favorite thing about it.
The Monster Hunter Stories subseries can be summed up as turn-based Monster Hunter. The crafting mechanics are streamlined, but the core Monster Hunter loop is largely intact: Kill monsters to craft equipment so you can hunt bigger monsters and craft better equipment. Where the Stories subseries sets itself apart from the mainline series, however, are the monster-taming mechanics. Iconic monsters from the franchise--or Monsties as they're called here--fight alongside you.
New Monsties can be acquired by raiding a monster den and digging up randomized eggs from a nest. Once you have a few eggs, you can return to camp, hatch them, and throw them in your party. However, like Pokemon, no two Monsties are the same. Even ones that share the same name might have different passive abilities and movesets thanks to their genes. Alongside Monster Hunter's classic hunt and craft gameplay loop, collecting better and better monsters is a core aspect of the game.
