Destiny 2 Vault Of Glass Loot Table: Vex Mythoclast Exotic, Weapons, And More

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 21:30

Destiny 2's Vault of Glass raid is becoming increasingly popular following the launch of Episode 3: Heresy. The raid's weapons now have the ability to drop with new perks, and an exclusive origin trait: Timelost Magazine. Final blows using weapons with this trait grant bonus Super energy. When your Super expires, the weapon's magazine size is doubled for a long duration and reloads from reserves. Guardians can also finally craft weapons obtained in Vault of Glass.

We've split the loot tables by each encounter, so if you're looking for that god roll Found Verdict you'll be able to see which encounters you need to farm. For each weapon, we've also bolded the most desirable perks.

You can run through the raid or specific encounters on Master difficulty mode to get the Adept, or Timelost, versions of these weapons, too. Timelost weapons are similar to Adept versions, specific to Vault of Glass, in that they roll with two selectable perks per column, increasing your chances of getting a great roll. They also gain a small boost to their stats when Masterworked. The more patterns you've unlocked, the higher the likelihood is that you can find a Timelost weapon with a third perk option in column three or four.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Getting A Physical Switch Release In April

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 11:54

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is a unique game that combines the best aspects of the first two titles in the series to create something entirely new. It met with positive reviews when it first launched on PC and mobile in 2016, and now it’s gearing up for a physical release on Switch that is available to preorder ahead of its April 24 release. Preordering at Amazon locks in its price guarantee, so if the game is discounted ahead of launch, you’ll pay the lower price. You also won’t be charged until the game is shipped.

Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic Preorder Bonuses

There are currently no preorder bonuses for RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic. It’s unlikely that’ll change in the coming weeks, though if anything is announced, we’ll update this section with details.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic Physical Edition $30 | Releases April 24

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is essentially the best parts of RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. Just like those games, you'll build, customize, and manage your own theme park. Along with the option to simply build and manage your park in a free-form effort, there’s a structured Park Scenarios system that tasks you with completing 95 challenges from the first two games. This version of the game includes the Toolkit, Wacky Worlds, and Time Twister expansion packs. Physical editions are available to preorder at most retailers. The game is also available now digitally.

Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Best Buy Preorder at Target

This isn’t the first RollerCoaster Tycoon game on Switch, as you’ll also find RollerCoaster Tycoon Adventures: Deluxe Edition for $30. This is a more modern take on the sim, with seven types of customizable coasters, 200 different attractions, and modern, cartoony graphics. You could also pick up RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, which was released by Limited Run Games and includes all its DLC and expansions.

Fanatical's Bundlefest 2025 Kicks Off With An Awesome Capcom PC Game Bundle

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 11:07

Surprise! Fanatical just kicked off Bundlefest 2025 event, which sees a new bundle deal launch each day of the week from February 10 through 14, and the first offering is a doozy. Monday's bundle is the Build Your Own Capcom Bundle, which lets you customize your own selection of classic Capcom-published PC titles at big discounts--check out more details about the bundle below. The next bundle launches on Tuesday, February 11, and we'll be updating this post throughout the week as more new bundles drop.

Fanatical Bundlefest 2025: Quick Look

Like other Fanatical deals, all games purchased in these bundle deals are delivered as official keys. Most are Steam keys, but other launchers like the Epic Games Store may also be included. Also, while Bundlefest highlights Fanatical's newest deals, plenty of other bundles are also available at Fanatical's online store if you're looking to save even more.

Build Your Own Capcom Bundle - Bundlefest 2025

The Build Your Own Capcom Bundle lets you pick from a list of 21 Capcom games, each one available for $6.50 or less. Almost all the major Capcom series are here, though don't expect many new titles. The picks mostly include HD remasters and collections of classic entries in series like Ace Attorney, Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and more. One of the only major omissions is the Monster Hunter series--likely because Fanatical recently ran a separate Monster Hunter Bundle that is unfortunately no longer available.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Start Date, Theme, Battle Pass, Leaks, And Rumors

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 10:11

Fortnite Chapter 6 has gotten off to a pretty strong start, adding new permanent modes with Fortnite OG and Ballistic, dropping a full-sized Godzilla on the island, and ushering in the game's Hatsune Miku era. But Chapter 6 Season 2 is just around the corner, bringing with it a whole new slate of attractions. With a few days to go before Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 starts, here's everything we know so far.

When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 begin?

Season 1 is currently scheduled to come to a close on February 21 at 11 PM PT/ 2 AM ET. That would mean that Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 should begin a few hours later on the morning of Friday, February 21.

Will Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 have a live finale event?

The Jan. 31 update added some interesting items to the Fortnite game files, including many indications that Season 1 will end with some sort of ambient live event on the battle royale island to bring the season story to a close. What exactly the event will entail is still a mystery, but the first stage of buildup has begun--the NPC Daigo has moved on from the spot in the Nightshift Forest where he's been battling demons all season and has taken up new residence by the unused portal in the mountains above Warrior's Watch, and that is where the big finale will go down.

Mufasa: The Lion King Releases On Blu-Ray In April - Preorder 4K Steelbook At Amazon

Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Walmart Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Walmart

After finding success with The Lion King’s photorealistic adaptation in 2019, Disney returned late last year with Mufasa: The Lion King. The film technically takes place after Simba begins his reign as King of the Pride Lands, but as the title suggests, it also examines Mufasa's formative years and rise to power (as told by the wise mandrill Rafiki). Lion King fans and Disney collectors who want to add the hybrid prequel/sequel to their shelf can preorder Mufasa: The Lion King on 4K Blu-ray for $66 or Blu-ray for $41 ahead of its April 1 release.

Mufasa: The Lion King Limited Edition Steelbook

Mufasa: The Lion King is following the same release model as a few other recent Disney films. In the US, the only 4K version is the Limited Edition Steelbook for $66. Disney previously followed this approach with Inside Out 2 and the recently announced Moana 2 Blu-ray release. Moana 2's 4K Limited Edition Steelbook launches March 18 and is also priced at $66.

Amazon and Walmart offer preorder price guarantees and don't charge until the product ships. If the price of Mufasa: The Lion King drops between the time you order and release, you'll automatically get the lowest listed price.

With Switch 2 Coming, Nintendo Explains Why It Must Go Beyond Traditional Games

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:43

2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Nintendo, as the Mario company is launching a highly anticipated new system, the Switch 2. But the company isn't going to rely only on traditional hardware and games to find success. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has opened up on why Nintendo must push "beyond video games" to encourage people to engage with Nintendo.

As part of Nintendo's latest earnings report, Furukawa said Nintendo is making use of theme parks, official stores, "visual content," and mobile experiences to "generate interest in our core business." In case there was any doubt, Furukawa stressed that the "dedicated video game platform business" is Nintendo's core business, and efforts outside of that are being undertaken to funnel people back there.

"Going forward, even as we transition to Nintendo Switch 2, it remains important to increase touchpoints beyond video games," Furukawa said.

The Last Of Us Actor Kaitlyn Dever Shuts Down Off-Screen Rumor About Season 2

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:37

Kaitlyn Dever joins the cast for HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 in the critical role of Abby. She's now discussed the upcoming season, saying she hopes to "do the character justice" and make fans happy. She also talked about stepping into a role in an established franchise with a devoted fanbase, which is something new for her. Beyond that, Dever shot down an off-screen rumor about needing extra security during the production of Season 2.

"Moving forward and being a part of such a big and very, very loved franchise, it is something that I haven't ever done before, and I'm learning every day just how to move forward in this new world that is the Last of Us fandom," she told Variety. "I think it is always hard stepping into that, especially because it's already had its [first] season and I’m the newbie to the world. But I think that I'm almost treating it and approaching it like I do with everything, which is just wanting to come at it with authenticity and honesty and trying to be as organic as I can when approaching the role and bringing my own sort of energy to it, if that makes sense. I want to do the character justice, and I hope that people enjoy what I do with that."

Also in the interview, Dever pushed back against a rumor that was making the rounds in 2024. Her The Last of Us co-star Isabela Merced, who plays Dina, said Dever needed extra security due to the polarizing nature of Abby. Dever said this is simply not true. "Well, firstly, I have to say, actually, that's not true, and I didn't ever personally say that. I know that was said a while ago, and it is not true," she said.

Disney's Fortnite Project Reportedly Reaches A Major Milestone

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:32

Disney's big Fortnite project was announced one year ago this month. Nothing has come of this as of yet, but the Disney project in Fortnite has now seemingly crossed a significant milestone.

Noted Fortnite insider HYPEX said on social media that the Disney collaboration with Fortnite has advanced to the "stable" build/branch of development. This is a notable update, as it likely means the developers have made significant progress as production enters the next stage.

— HYPEX (@HYPEX) February 7, 2025

Exactly what the Disney/Fortnite collaboration actually is, however, remains a mystery, nor do we know when it may be released. Disney has invested more than $1.5 billion into Epic Games to help create the new content, whatever it might be.

GTA 6 Launch Could Help Improve Console Sales Significantly, Take-Two Boss Says

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:22

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto VI is the biggest game coming out this year. It's expected to drive more than $1 billion in preorder revenue alone and sell 40 million copies in its first year. Unsurprisingly, then, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has said he thinks the game could help lift console sales. That would be a welcome development, too, as console hardware had a brutal 2024.

"When you have a big title in the market and we have many of them coming, historically that has sold consoles," Zelnick told IGN. He's referring to Take-Two's upcoming game slate, which includes not just GTA 6 in Fall 2025, but also games like WWE 2K25 (March 14, 2025), Mafia: The Old Country (Summer 2025), and Borderlands 4 (sometime in 2025).

Zelnick said he's predicting an uptick in console sales in 2025, though he's wary of the impact President Trump's proposed tariffs could have on the hardware market. Overall, though, Zelnick said Take-Two's games, and strong releases from other publishers, should help lift console sales in general in 2025.

GTA 6 Exec Talks Approach To PC Releases, But Doesn't Confirm Anything

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:07

Grand Theft Auto VI is coming this year to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it won't be on PC at launch, at least based on what Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two have said thus far. So why isn't GTA 6 coming to PC at launch? There is no clear answer, but Take-Two executive Strauss Zelnick has shed a little more light on the situation, saying Take-Two doesn't have a mandate for all of its games to "go across all platforms simultaneously."

However, Zelnick admitted to IGN, "Historically, Rockstar has started with some platforms and then historically moved to other platforms." Reading between the lines here, it sure sounds like GTA 6 will come to PC at a later date, which would be in keeping with tradition for the company. Its last two big games, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption II, launched on console first before coming to PC.

Free-To-Play Delta Force Will Add Paid Black Hawk Down Campaign February 21

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:06

Those waiting for the Black Hawk Down campaign for Delta Force, the modern free-to-play revival of the classic FPS series, won't have to wait much longer. Developer Team Jade, a subsidiary of Chinese gaming giant Tencent, announced the paid DLC will launch February 21.

Delta Force's upcoming Black Hawk Down campaign is a remake of the 2003 shooter of the same name, it in turn based on a book documenting the real events involving a US military task force during the Somali Civil War in 1993. Team Jade released a brief teaser trailer alongside the release date to give fans an idea of what to expect, showing battles through the destroyed streets of Somalia's capital, Mogadishu.

The Black Hawk Down campaign for Delta Force was originally slated to arrive in January, so its new February release date is actually a delay. As for how much the campaign will cost, Team Jade has not officially said just yet. Team Jade states in the description for the campaign's launch teaser trailer that more details will be coming in the following days. In a development diary Q&A from last year, Team Jade said the campaign DLC will not feature microtransactions and can be played co-op.

EA Wants Fans To Decide The Future Of Plants Vs. Zombies 3

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 08:03

EA has called on fans to provide feedback on the art direction of the reimagined of Plants vs. Zombies 3.

"We ran some external tests to gather insight into which art styles sparked interest among participants in our focus groups! We’re actively gathering that data, but we also know that there’s no better feedback than yours--the passionate PvZ community," EA said in a new blog post.

EA showed three images of the same plant punching a zombie but in three different art styles and is asking fans to share their thoughts on social media with the hashtag #PvZ3 and which one they prefer. The first one is a slightly 3D cel-shaded art direction compared to the second one. However, the third one is much more dynamic, looking like a comic-book panel.

Roblox Is Part Of An "Active Investigation" By SEC

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 06:49

Roblox is one of the most popular gaming platforms, but there may be trouble ahead. The US Securities and Exchange Commission has confirmed that Roblox is "part of an active and ongoing investigation."

Hunterberg Media originally reported last fall that Roblox was under investigation by the SEC over charges that it "inflated key metrics" for investors on Wall Street and for its lax safety measures regarding potential child predators on the platform. The SEC did not confirm that Roblox's parent company, The Roblox Corporation, is under investigation. However, Bloomberg has confirmed that the SEC refused to provide details of its investigation because it may "harm... the ongoing enforcement proceeding."

In November 2024, The Roblox Corporation laid out new safety guidelines for children on the platform. Children under the age of 13 are no longer allowed access to unrated experiences created within Roblox, and only children 13 and older will be allowed to utilize the social hangouts and free-form user-creation experiences. That move came after a previous Bloomberg story which noted that The Roblox Company reported over 13,000 instances of child exploitation to authorities in 2023. Moreover, two dozen people were arrested for abusing children after making contact with them through the platform.

Sony Passed On The Order: 1886 Sequel, Dev Claims

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 06:33

The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn pitched a sequel to Sony but was ultimately rejected. While the reason was unclear, the developer thought that had the game's critical reception been higher, there would've been a better chance.

"We really thought that with The Order, we had set up such a unique and appealing baseline that people were going to forgive some of its shortcomings," Ready at Dawn co-founder Andrea Pessino said in an interview with MinnMax. "It would've been an incredible sequel, I can tell you for a fact."

Despite The Order 1886's lukewarm critical reception, sitting at a 63 on GameSpot's sister site Metacritic, Ready at Dawn pitched a sequel. Pessino explained that it was actually better that Sony passed on the sequel because the budget would've been small and the studio didn't have any leverage to negotiate a better contract. However, Pessino said that the team would've taken the opportunity anyway in order to redeem The Order: 1886.

Call Of Duty Double XP Event Extended Due To PSN Outage

Tue, 02/11/2025 - 06:24

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone's latest double XP event was supposed to end on February 10, but Activision is extending the promotion for 48 more hours due to the PSN outage.

In a social media post, the developer said, "Didn't get to play as much as you wanted over the weekend? We got you." The double XP event will now end at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on February 12. It was previously expected to end at the same time on February 10.

This double XP period covers double XP for player progression, weapons, and Gobblegum earn rate. Only the PSN went down this weekend, but the double XP event is extended across all platforms. Activision also held a Black Ops 6 free trial February 6-10, but that event doesn't appear to be part of the extension.
