Battlefield 6 Open Vs. Closed Weapons Playlists: Here's What The Data Shows
One of the key talking points about Battlefield 6 pre-release has been around the Open and Closed weapons playlists for multiplayer. For Battlefield 6, the developers are focusing on an Open weapons setup where people can pick any weapon, regardless of their class. The traditional Battlefield setup was that every class has its own unique and exclusive weapons. People made a lot of noise about this and how they wanted a Closed setup, but data from the beta--which offered Open and Closed playlists--suggests statistically small differences in preference.
"The vast majority of players, after trying both playlist types, chose to stick with Open weapons. This reinforces our belief that Open weapons is the right path forward for Battlefield 6," the developer said in a blog post. "We observed mostly identical class pick rates with 1-2% difference at most."
Players in Open weapons performed slightly better, recording 0.2 more kills per hour in Conquest and 0.1 more kills per hour in Breakthrough versus Closed.

Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision are supported for enhanced viewing on compatible screens. The artwork on the steelbook is quite striking, with an image of Master Chief adorning the front and additional artwork continuing on the back and case interior.
Bonus features include a look at how Halo was adapted for TV, a behind-the-scenes featurette on how Cortana was brought to life, an examination of the weapons and vehicles of Halo, and more. If you're not sold on the steelbook, several other formats are on sale for Big Deal Days.
Halo: Season One Editions:
- 4K Blu-ray Steelbook -- $26.15 ($64)
- 4K Blu-ray -- $23.49 ($51)
- Blu-ray -- $20.39 ($44)
- DVD -- $20.29 ($40)
The Season Two Limited Edition Steelbook is quite similar to the first. Along with support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, it's packed with over two hours of bonus features. The collection is cut down to four discs, but you'll still find every episode from season two in 4K format. As for the steelbook itself, its design might be better than Season One--Master Chief once again graces the front, but he's also on artwork that spans the case interior.
Several other formats are on sale for Big Deal Days:
Halo: Season Two Editions:
- 4K Blu-ray Steelbook -- $28 ($59)
- 4K Blu-ray -- $25 ($51)
