Table of Contents [hide]
  • How to breed Pals in PalworldHow to breed Pals in Palworld

You can breed Pals via the Breeding Farm structure. Here's a quick summary:

    • Any Pal can be bred with another regardless of species or element type.
    • You do need at least one male and one female Pal as partners.
    • Breeding the same type of Pal will result in a similar offspring. However, breeding Pals of different species or types can result in unexpected combinations.
    • There are thousands of potential combinations when it comes to offspring. Even some of these Pals can't be caught through regular exploration alone.
How to build the Breeding Farm

You need to unlock the Breeding Farm blueprint via the Technology menu at level 19. Then, you should gather 100x Wood, 20x Stone, and 50x Fiber to build it at your base. Note that the Breeding Farm is quite large, so you have to clear some space for it.

Palworld has you finding even more creatures as you continue your adventure. Along the way, you should be able to collect eggs, as well as a device that lets you incubate them. Here's our guide on how to hatch eggs in Palworld.

You can hatch eggs once you unlock the Egg Incubator. This blueprint comes from the Technology menu at level 7, and you need Ancient Technology Points to acquire it. You then need to have 10x Paldium Fragment, 5x Cloth, 30x Stone, and 2x Ancient Civilization Parts to build it in your base.

Note that you can have several Egg Incubators in Palworld. However, you do need to have enough materials (and space) to build them all. Once you've constructed one, simply place an egg inside and wait for it to hatch. Note that all hatched Pals will always start at level 1.

No, Your Call Of Duty Matchmaking Conspiracy Theory Isn't True, Activision Insists

Tue, 01/30/2024 - 07:08

One of the biggest topics often surrounding Call of Duty is the matchmaking experience, and Activision has released a new blog post to discuss all the factors that weigh into matchmaking for the game's multiplayer mode.

In a debate that's old as time, Call of Duty is often criticized for having "high SBMM," with skill-based matchmaking that's meant to match up players in lobbies with similarly skilled players, but this latest blog refutes that skill is the dominant factor.

The publisher says, "We often see the community refer to our matchmaking system as skill-based matchmaking. Call of Duty does consider skill (or more specifically player performance) as a component, as do most in the industry, but skill is not the dominant variable. We consider and prioritize several factors to create lobbies."

DC Movie Tie-In Games Aren't A Guarantee, But Could Happen

Tue, 01/30/2024 - 06:49

Warner Bros. Discovery's gaming boss, JB Perrette, has teased the company's future games outlook, saying it's a big benefit that DC Studios co-head James Gunn is a gamer himself. Speaking to Variety, Perrette acknowledged that WBD has not done a good enough job over the years with having its game and film divisions working together.

"Frankly, there hasn't been as close a relationship between the studio and the games business as there should have been. And James is actually a gamer, so having someone who's passionate about it is super helpful," Perrette said.

He added that WBD's gaming division, Warner Bros. Games, is now "actively working with [Gunn and Safran] on the core franchises within the DC Universe."

Blizzard's first new president under Microsoft's ownership is Johanna Faries, who previously served as the general manager of Call of Duty as part of Activision.

Suicide Squad Makes A Welcome Change To How Battle Passes Usually Work

Tue, 01/30/2024 - 04:18

Like several other live-service games, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will offer players additional rewards through a battle pass of mostly cosmetic items. Where Rocksteady aims to shake up this formula is by eliminating the limited-time design of its battle pass--Halo Infinite has a similar approach--as the studio will let players complete goals on the free and paid-for premium tracks at their leisure.

Typically, live-service battle passes are up for between one to three months, and once that time has expired, so will they. The best rewards are kept right until the end of a battle pass, forcing players to grind throughout the period to unlock cosmetics and gear. This has long been criticized by players, and in a QA discussion on the Suicide Squad Discord, Rocksteady said it wants to respect the personal time of its players instead.

"We're also happy to announce that you will be able to go back and play previous battle passes after a season ends," studio director Darius Sadeghian explained. "We believe that our team has created some of the best-looking cosmetic items ever, and we want those to be available for our players to enjoy without fear that they'll miss out on anything."
