Nintendo Switch 2 Controller's GL/GR Buttons Are More Customizable Than We Thought
Among the changes to the Switch 2 Joy-Con charging grip and Pro Controller is the addition of GL and GR buttons, which are on the underside of the handles. Nintendo has recently shared that players can customize these buttons to map to specific actions on a per-game basis.
In an overview posted on the Nintendo Today app, the company explained that the new buttons are fully mappable by the player. This means that they can take on the role of any other button on the controller. Moreover, these mappings can be set for each game, meaning that you'll have the ability to set up game-specific controller settings.
Button mappings can be set from the quick settings menu, opened by holding down the Home button from within a game. Any mappings will be saved automatically and persist across gameplay sessions.

The recent rollout of the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer and associated screenshots has been wildly popular, and it has sparked a whole community of sleuths to scour the content for clues, hints, and overlooked details. In one recent theory sweeping the Internet, fans believe that they may have found a kid among the civilians shown in one of the high-res screenshots published by developer Rockstar.
Spotted by X account TheGTAVerse, a particular image of the Grassrivers region in GTA VI appears to show a small, childlike figure sitting at a table with other people who are more clearly adults.
This might seem minor on face, but if true, it would actually mark a significant change for Rockstar. Children have never shown up as pedestrians in GTA games in the past, due to the violence and graphic imagery commonplace in the series, and you can count the number of kids who've shown up in cinematics or story beats throughout the series on two hands. There is virtually no chance that kids will actually be out wandering the world, as Rockstar and publisher Take-Two would likely not want to risk the possibility of in-game violence being perpetrated against children. However, it is an interesting quirk in the studio's gradual reveal of GTA VI's world.

Ubisoft has finally given word on a release window for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, stating that the game will launch by the end of March 2026.
In its earnings call today, Ubisoft revealed that it plans for the Sands of Time remake to drop in fiscal year 2025-26, which officially ends on March 31, 2026. This significantly narrows down the release timeline for the game, as previously the publisher had only said it was coming in 2026.
This release window would mark nearly six years since the announcement of the game. Ubisoft originally teased the Sands of Time remake way back in 2020 for last-gen consoles. Since then, it has had a rocky development process, switching developers a few years ago following fan backlash to the original trailer and a missed launch date. It's probably safe to say at this point that the remake, now in the works at Ubisoft Montreal, will come to current-gen consoles.

But now, Iron Man is set to take center stage once again with a new game from the developers of the Dead Space remake and Battlefield 6's campaign. Read on to learn everything we know about it so far.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Review - Completing The Set
Back in September, Capcom fighting game fans had a major wish granted with Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which bundled the entire collection of 2D Marvel-centric fighting games--and a side-scrolling beat-'em-up to boot--in an all-in-one package. It was what fans of Marvel Vs. Capcom had wanted for years, particularly with Marvel Vs. Capcom 2's inclusion, and it made multiple fighting games seemingly lost to time reappear on the scene in an instant.
Now, Capcom has the unenviable task of following it up with Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the true sequel to the first classic fighting compendium from 2022. This new collection features the same great quality-of-life additions as the others: a "museum" with concept art and design documents, a music player with each game's soundtrack at the ready, rollback netcode, etc. However, there are only so many old fighting games in Capcom's vault to collect, and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has a few indicators that the well may be drying up.
The "marquee" games in this bundle--based on the key art, at least--are the Capcom Vs. SNK games, which paired fighters from the libraries of both Capcom and SNK in one big battle. Both games utilized the brilliant Ratio system, which lets you change the strength of the characters you choose. Each game implemented this system differently; Capcom Vs. SNK assigned ratio levels, from one to four, to specific characters, while the sequel let you assign the ratios after selecting your character.

Ubisoft said it's delaying these unspecified games to "create the best conditions for success." It opted to delay the games "after a review of our pipeline."
As a result of these delays, Ubisoft said FY 2026-2027 (April 1, 2026-March 31, 2027) and FY 2027-2028 (April 1, 2027-March 31, 2028) will "see significant content coming from our largest brands."

Developer GSC Game World has announced that Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition, a remaster of the first three games in the Stalker series, is coming on May 20 for consoles and PC.
The Enhanced Edition provides a fresh coat of paint to last year's Legends of the Zone bundle. Encompassing Shadow of Chornobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat, this title introduces players to the original experiences in the Stalker series. The remaster, coming next week, boasts updated lighting and reflections, upscaled textures, improved water effects and skyboxes, and upscaled cinematics. Finally, both console and PC players will now be able to take advantage of mods created by the Stalker community.
On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the trilogy has also received a set of performance options for players to take advantage of the consoles. PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X players can choose between Quality (4K/30 FPS), Balanced (upscaled 4K/40 FPS), Performance (upscaled 4K/60 FPS), and Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K/120 FPS) modes. Console players will also have the option of playing with a keyboard and mouse. The PC version, meanwhile, has been optimized for running on a Steam Deck and has received Steam Workshop integration.

The new version will include upgrades like Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, improved graphics, and shorter load times. Hogwarts Legacy - Switch 2 Edition $60 | Releases June 5This updated version of Hogwarts Legacy is the same open-world action RPG as the one released in 2023. However, it makes a few big upgrades thanks to the additional processing power on Switch 2. For one, it offers improved graphics and shorter load times. You’ll also benefit from crisper audio, reworked controls, and support for the Joy-Con 2 mouse sensor.
Preorder at Amazon Preorder at Walmart Preorder at Best BuyNote that Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2 comes on a Game-Key Card, which means none of the game data is on the cartridge itself, and instead it acts as physical DRM that unlocks the digital version. You'll need to download the game to your console before you can play.
As mentioned above, players who already own Hogwarts Legacy on Switch can upgrade for just $10. That means it might be worth hunting down a cheap copy of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch ahead of time, then dropping an additional $10 to upgrade to the Switch 2 version. If you want to go that route, Hogwarts Legacy is on sale for just $18 (was $60) on the Switch eShop. Once it’s in your library, you’ll be able to upgrade to a Switch 2 copy for an extra $10--meaning you'll pay just $28 total, rather than $60.
Continue Reading at GameSpotFOMO Has "Infected" Many Modern Games, Remedy Says
FBC: Firebreak developer Remedy is pushing back against what it's observed to be a rise in games being developed with "FOMO," that is, fear of missing out, in mind. Speaking to GameSpot, game director Mike Kayatta said the team tried to design FBC to become a manageable game that places an emphasis on "controlling the value space."
That is to say, Kayatta believes some games that give off vibes of being "enormous in scope" can lead to a couple potential outcomes from players. One is that a player might go "all the way in" and dedicate lots of time and money. A second category of players might find the perceived time sink to be too enormous and simply play something else instead.
FBC aims to be a game that people can pick up and play in short bursts, at a modest price point ($40). The game is also included in Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus from day one, which in theory should help it reach a potentially larger audience.
