Fallout 4K Blu-Ray Deal - Catch Up Before Season 2's December Premiere

Game News - Wed, 08/20/2025 - 11:00
See at Amazon

Season 1 of Amazon's Fallout adaptation is up for grabs for $30 on 4K Blu-ray at Amazon. Fallout Season 1 released on 4K and 1080p Blu-ray as well as DVD on July 8. With Amazon's current deal, the 4K Blu-ray edition is the same price as the 1080p edition. While you're checking out the deal, take a look at the upcoming Fallout Funko Pops that Amazon just started taking preorders on.

Now's not a bad time to catch up or rewatch Season 1, as Amazon has revealed Fallout Season 2 will premiere December 17. Unlike Season 1, which released all of its episodes on the same day, Season 2 will follow a traditional weekly schedule. Episodes will stream on Wednesdays, with the Season 2 finale slated for February 4.

Watch Fallout Season 1

To be clear, the Fallout 4K Blu-ray deal is for the standard edition with a plastic case, not Amazon's exclusive Steelbook Edition. The collectible 4K Blu-ray edition sold out shortly after preorders opened in April. We saw brief restocks during launch week and in mid-July, but it's been sold out for about a month now. Amazon has indicated this truly is a limited-edition release, so we wouldn't be surprised if the Steelbook Edition is gone for good.

How to Train Your Dragon returned to theaters this summer with a live-action remake, giving theatergoers another chance to see Hiccup and Toothless in action. Fans of the adorable dragon can also now check out two new toys based on the film's adorable dragon, Toothless. The first is the Tame & Train Interactive Toothless Figure, which responds to commands with movements and sounds, and can even play games. Then there's the Flying RC Toothless that features flapping wings and can glide through the air. Both are available now at multiple online retailers.

Tame & Train Interactive Toothless Figure $53

This unqiue toy offers over 60 different interactions and sounds, plus five distinct personalities. You'll build up trust with the dragon as you play, moving through four stages of trust and unlocking new games as you go. Unlockable games include Keep Away, Chicken, and Follow Me. Eventually, Toothless with play all sorts of sound effects and open up his wings to their full 20-inch dimensions. The set also comes with a toy fish, which can be used to get the dragon's attention. It's a pretty cool collectible for fans of the film, as it's a fun combination of toy and interactive companion.

If you live near a large open field (or have a sizable backyard), consider picking up the Flying RC Toothless. Featuring a 30-inch wingspan and wings that actually flap, this cool RC device can take flight for up to 10 minutes at a time. Its tail is adjustable, and there's also a Hiccup figure that fits onto the dragon's back. A small remote gives you a bit of control over its flight pattern, but you'll definitely want to make sure you have plenty of open space before taking off.

There's another way to get Toothless airborne--launch them out of a cannon. Currently on sale for $18.38 (was $28), this toy lets you load up Toothless into a crossbow before pulling the trigger and sending them skyward. Designed with lightweight foam and with a 15-inch wingspan, it should be able to sail quite far once you figure out the right launching angle. Its tail is adjustable too, allowing you to pull off barrel rolls and dives.

Along with these RC toys, you can also pick up an adorable 784-piece Toothless Lego Set for $70 at Lego's online store. The completed model features a posable head, jaw, wings, and tail, plus a saddle and repaired tail fin. Note that it's currently on backorder at the Lego Store, which means it's coming back but is currently sold out--so consider ordering before it goes out of stock entirely.

This Ghost Story Musical Is Packed With Personality And A Fright-Filled Mystery

Game News - Wed, 08/20/2025 - 07:27

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand is a first-person, narrative-driven mystery game developed by Friday Sundae. This is the studio's debut game, and a hands-on demo is available for those at Gamescom this week. I watched the demo ahead of its release at a preview event, and the game is an alluring combination of part-ghost story, part-musical, and part-renovation game. The heart of the game is the ghost story, though, and the developer works to make this spooky seaside tale approachable for everyone.

In There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, you play as Chris David, a character who has inherited The Grand, a dilapidated hotel located along the English coast. Chris is initially only tasked with restoration of the hotel, but he is ultimately drawn into rooting out a deeper mystery that surrounds the town and the people who live there.

The Grand hotel

The first part of the demo showcased the game's unique hotel renovation mechanics, which uses a quirky set of talking power tools built into one handheld device. Robert C. MacBrushy is a Scottish AI assistant integrated into this tool, and he gives a bit of humorous commentary to keep you company as you renovate the hotel. This sounds like it will come in handy to balance the tense elements of the game, as There Are No Ghosts at the Grand turns spooky at nighttime.

Nintendo has revealed the release date and price for the upcoming Switch 2 exclusive Kirby Air Riders. The sequel to the 2003 GameCube hit Kirby Air Ride warps onto Nintendo's new console November 20. Kirby Air Riders is available to preorder for $70 in physical and digital formats.

No bonuses have been announced for Kirby Air Riders, but if any become available, they will likely be retailer-exclusive collectibles similar to the goodies being offered for preordering Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Kirby Air Riders costs $10 less than the soon-to-be-released Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The physical edition of Kirby Air Riders is available to preorder at Best Buy and GameStop. Preorders should open soon at Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

Like all Nintendo-published games for Switch 2 (so far), Kirby Air Riders is a true physical edition with the full game file on the card. If you opt for the digital edition, just be aware that the download size is currently estimated at 25GB, which is over 10% of the Switch 2's usable storage space.
