GTA 6 Delayed To 2026
GTA 6 has been delayed to 2026. Every Rockstar game from the past 10 years has been delayed beyond its originally announced date, so this is no surprise. But it's surely a disappointing development for many.
The game is now set for release on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It was previously set for release in Fall 2025.
"We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game," Rockstar said.

When you think of Minecraft's game modes, you might automatically go to the game's classic Survival mode, or the peaceful Creative mode. However, there are five game modes in the vanilla version, not all of them resembling a survival game, and many more made possible by Minecraft mods. Here are all of the game modes in Minecraft, as well as the difficulty options that go alongside them, and which to choose.
Table of Contents [hide]SurvivalMinecraft's traditional experience is nestled within Survival. Here, you'll have to work to collect the resources you need, craft upgrades and new items, and build your structures. You'll have to face deadly mobs and enemies, and your hunger bar will decay. While Survival can be challenging for new players, it's easily the best way to become acquainted with the game as you'll be forced to learn the mechanics and recipes quickly if you want to survive.
You'll be dropped into the world at a random spawn point at dawn, giving you a full day to get your bearings and craft something resembling a safe house. From there, you can continue to gather resources and upgrade your surroundings before setting off on the hunt for iron and diamond to make more powerful armor and tools. Don't forget to find a good food source so you don't succumb to hunger.

While you may be limited to which version of Minecraft you can play based on the device you're using, there are some important differences between Minecraft Java and Bedrock to be aware of. In Mojang's survival game, it's more common for PC users to play on Java, while console and mobile users are on Bedrock. Here's our full breakdown of the differences between Java and Bedrock so you can decide which version is right for you.
MinecraftMinecraft Java EditionThe Java edition of Minecraft supports cross-play, so you can jump in with friends on other platforms or operating systems who are also using Java. It also allows for the customization of Minecraft skins, meaning you can completely personalize your in-game look by downloading one of the many skins online. You could even try your hand at creating your own and uploading it to the game.
The most important difference is that Minecraft Java allows for the installation of mods, meaning you can access more of the best Minecraft servers and their custom packs. Minecraft mods can do anything from adding small quality-of-life updates, to completely overhauling the way chests and loot work. They even make playing dedicated questlines possible, or introducing new Minecraft mobs.

After a fairly short spring season, Fortnite is trying something new with battle royale: a shortened, five-week season that's all about Star Wars. Unfortunately for us, there's just one little thing getting in the way of us diving into all the new stuff: Fortnite servers are down for maintenance while Epic deploys the new season update. Below, you'll find a rundown on when Fortnite servers should be back online.
Despite the short length, Season 2 has been pretty eventful, introducing the amazing new Kneecapper and Rocket Drill items, and also adding Sabrina Carpenter as the latest Festival headliner just a few weeks ago. But now Season 2 is done, and the Kneecapper is a thing of the past--but you still can't play just yet. There are many fun activities you can try while you wait, like going outside or sleeping, but that's not what we're here to talk about right now. Let's go ahead and cut to the chase.
Fortnite's Star Wars Season start timeWhen Fortnite goes offline to deploy a patch, it usually takes about three or four hours, but a new season launch is much more of a thing than your average update is. For a new season, Fortnite typically goes offline for four hours at minimum, and often longer. Sometimes much longer--Fortnite was offline for 18 hours ahead of the start of Chapter 5 Season 2 last year. If all goes well, you can expect Fortnite to come back online, at the earliest, around 3 AM PT/6 AM ET.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has surpassed 2 million players, Ubisoft said in a brief announcement. The news comes roughly 15 months after The Lost Crown's release in January 2024, and Ubisoft appears to be teasing a bright future for the series.

What Ubisoft has in store for The Prince of Persia is anyone's guess, though. The company disbanded The Lost Crown's development team in October 2024 on account of lower-than-forecasted sales, though those who worked on the game were shuffled around to different parts of Ubisoft and not laid off. It's worth noting that 2 million players isn't the same as 2 million sales. The Lost Crown was available on Ubisoft+, Ubisoft's subscription service, and has also been part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium.

Blizzard has revealed the roadmap for Overwatch 2 Stadium, just a few weeks after the new mode's launch. The roadmap includes information about heroes being added to the Stadium roster, new maps and modes within Stadium, and some stats from players' time with the mode already.
The newest damage hero Freja will be added to Stadium's limited roster as part of the midseason update for the current season, which Blizzard said is expected to launch on May 20. That will be followed by Season 17 in June, which will see the addition of Sigma, Junkrat, and Zenyatta to the roster. The Stadium roster started with only 17 heroes, as the new mode feature items and powers that you can use to make a build in the mode. These require additional balancing, so Blizzard is slowly adding the full Overwatch roster to the mode. That update will also include two more maps, Esperanca and Samoa, along with the ability to save custom builds and share them. Season 17 will also include cross-play, which hasn't been available in the mode since console and PC players don't share competitive lobbies.
Freja will be the next hero to join the Stadium roster.Season 18 kicks off in August with Winston, Sojourn, and Brigitte joining the roster, along with a new game mode, Payload Race. Payload Race will come with two Payload maps, Route 66 and London, although Blizzard didn't share any details on how the mode will differ from regular payload matches. The roadmap stops at Season 19, simply stating that more maps and heroes will continue to be added to the mode, along with new items.

Why Digital Game Prices Are Going Up, Too
Microsoft just joined Nintendo in announcing that some of its games will sell for $80, and this new rate will seemingly apply to both physical and digital games. The price hike is inspiring a lot of debate and discussion, with some wondering why the price of digital games is going up. Many might be able to understand why a disc-based product might go up in price due to tariffs and other market factors, but why would digital games get more expensive, too?
Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad said it's true there is no "direct" tariff impact on digital games, but publishers may choose to raise prices anyway for a variety of reasons. To begin with, raising the price of a digital product could help offset rising costs in other departments, he said. Second, a publisher might raise the price of a digital game to bring it in line with its physical counterpart.
Other factors could be that a game's price is going up to reflect the increased cost to develop a particular game, along with a belief that people will, in general, accept the price increase. Lastly, a publisher might decide to charge more for a digital game "because they can," Ahmad said.

World of Warcraft: The War Within's next patch is bringing with it a little something for everyone, including a new, story-focused way to level characters and even recolored variants of the MMORPG's most iconic tier sets.
Blizzard detailed what all will be new in the 11.1.7 patch in a blog post, and it includes a new story campaign that will explore rising tensions between the Horde and Alliance in the Arathi Highlands with "branching viewpoints," according to Blizzard. While new main story campaign quests are expected, the patch has more than a few surprises in store, too.
One of them is a new way to level characters that sounds like a more story-driven version of Chromie Time. By speaking to Lorewalker Cho in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal starting in patch 11.1.7, players can complete three repeatable quest chains containing both old and new quests from previous expansions but that share a common story thread. One quest chain, for example, dives into the history of iconic Warcraft villain Arthas, where players will be able to battle through Strathholme during the culling before jumping to the game's Wrath of the Lich King expansion and stepping into the shoes of Arthas himself. Another questline dives into the history of current main villain Xal'atath, as players experience her origins in Legion, how she regained her physical form in Battle for Azeroth, and a past confrontation between her and the Old Gods.

A former Call of Duty producer has stated that Activision's popular franchise is purposefully designed to "make the most money possible" from its players by manipulating them. Mark Rubin, who worked on Call of Duty for years at Infinity Ward on titles like the original Modern Warfare trilogy, made this statement on social media, while acknowledging that there are "great people" at Activision today.
"A lot of games, Call of Duty included, just focus on how to make the most money possible out of the player base. They rely heavily on [fear of missing out] marketing and [engagement-optimized matchmaking]. But I feel like it used to be just more about the quality of the game which would drive players to play," he said. "And that means making the game more player centric. i.e. less engagement based tactics and higher quality experiences for the players. Better maps, modes etc."

Microsoft's strategy of releasing first-party Xbox games on PlayStation looks to be working, as Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced during its Q3 FY25 earnings call that the company was recently the top publisher on the PlayStation Store when it came to preorders.
The period Nadella referred to was January through March 2025, when he said Microsoft ended the quarter as the top publisher by preorders and preinstalls on both Xbox and PlayStation.
Other stats Nadella highlighted included news that PC Game Pass revenue was up 45% year-over-year, and that while Xbox hardware revenue declined 6% over the previous year, it saw gaming revenue increase 5% and Xbox content and services revenue increase by 8%. Those numbers were thanks to growth in Xbox Game Pass, Call of Duty, and Minecraft, Nadella said.

"Mechs, outer space, and giant monsters" sounds like a winning formula on the surface, but Battle Suit Aces puts a unique spin on it. Rather than offering full-scale, action-packed battles across the universe, Trinket Studios' next game instead boils things down to a sleek, card-based battle system, which focuses on resource management and strategy rather than brute force action--all while adding dozens of interesting characters with fully voiced dialogue on top of it.
After playing an hour-long demo, it's immediately clear that Trinket is on to something with this unique approach, but it's too early to tell if the experiment will stick the landing. Battle Suit Aces is trying something different, and so far, the results are worthy of your attention.
Aces highBattle Suite Aces follows a simple premise: A group of spacefarers called the Patchworks travel the universe in a massive spaceship called the USS Zephyr, as they explore planets looking for ancient tech. In their travels, they have found and commandeered a Gundam-adjacent mech suit, and eventually they meet other characters with mech suits of their own.

Sega Does What Nintendoes, Opens Physical Store
Sega has officially opened up its first physical store. Similarly to the Nintendo stores around the world, the Sega store will feature exclusive merchandise, interactive displays, and places to take fun photos. However, unlike Nintendo, there is only one location right now: inside the shopping mall Bailian ZX, in the center of Shanghai, China.
While the company has hinted at a possible chain expansion, only one additional store is scheduled to open shortly. The second official Sega store will be opening in Tokyo, located inside the Shibuya Parco department complex, in the summer.
There are only five Nintendo stores, with three in Japan just by itself, so hitting the States or Europe will possibly be years away.
