Marvel Rivals Season 5 is a formal celebration with the wedding of one of Marvel's most iconic couples. The season adds X-Men's Gambit and Rogue, and developer NetEase has released a new cinematic trailer to tease the couple's big wedding as well as some new costumes players might expect in the Season 5 battle pass, some of which may be obtainable with Marvel Rivals codes.
Season 5: Love is a Battlefield arrives on November 14. As revealed in the trailer above, the season is themed around Gambit and Rogue's wedding, but the ceremony is interrupted by some sort of cosmic energy.
Gambit is revealed to be the first of the two new characters arriving, and he'll be categorized as a Strategist who blends kinetic energy control with his iconic playing cards. This also means Rogue will likely make her appearance a few weeks after the season's launch.

Sony has shared its latest update for investors, and it's largely good news for PlayStation 5. According to Sony, an additional 3.9 million PS5 consoles were sold in the last quarter, bringing its lifetime total to 84.2 million consoles sold since the system launched in 2020. That puts the PS5 into a virtual dead heat with its predecessor, PlayStation 4, at the same point in its life cycle.
The complete breakdown of Sony's latest fiscal quarter is now online, and its sales chart shows the remarkably similar trajectory of the PS4 and PS5 sales. However, Sony noted that it only projects 15 million additional PS5 console sales during its current fiscal year, which runs through March 31, 2025. If so, that would potentially allow PS4 to retain its crown as Sony's second best-selling console, because it sold 17.8 million systems at that point in its life.
Regardless, Sony CFO Lin Tao suggested that the PS5 may have a longer lifespan than the traditional seven-year cycle.

Lego The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (2,500 Pieces)
See at Amazon See at AmazonLego has officially revealed its next Legend of Zelda set, and it'll be out in 2026. While the brief teaser doesn't reveal which era or video game this new kit is inspired by, the video does suggest that we could be getting a new Ocarina of Time set. It's probably Ganondorf looming over the minifigure of Link--the little hero in green was included with the Deku Tree set released last year--and several audio cues hint strongly at this being a Lego version of the iconic Legend of Zelda villain.
Other than that, Lego is remaining quiet on pricing for this set, an exact release date, and what's inside of it. Fortunately, you can grab Lego's first Legend of Zelda kit, The Great Deku Tree, if you want to bring some Hyrule magic to your shelf.
Lego The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (2,500 Pieces) $300The Great Deku Tree is a massive 2,500-piece set designed for experienced Lego builders. The two-in-one set allows you build a display of the Deku Tree as depicted in Breath of the Wild or Ocarina of Time, and once fully assembled, it has interactive features. The Breath of the Wild Deku Tree has an animated face that can be controlled with a lever on its back, while the Ocarina of Time version has an opening mouth that reveals a Skulltula monster.
For another added video game touch, the Breath of the Wild build includes pieces to recreate the scene where Link recovers the Master Sword from its pedestal, and if you switch to the Ocarina of Time, you can build Link's little house. The set is also complemented by various minifigures of Link and Princess Zelda based on their appearances in the two games, and there are also brick-built characters like Koroks, Deku Babas, a Deku Sprout, Navi the Fairy, a Skulltula, and a Hestu with maracas instruments.
See at Amazon Lego Game Boy (421 Pieces) $60
Another set to grab is the Lego Game Boy. This recreation of the iconic Nintendo handheld has a link--to the past--with the Legend of Zelda, as you get to build a Game Boy cartridge of Link's Awakening, complete with a sticker to recreate the original cartridge artwork. The Game Boy also has lenticular screen effects, with one of them being based directly on Link's Awakening.
Beyond that link to The Legend of Zelda, the Lego Game Boy is easily one of the best Lego sets of the year. It's an almost 1:1 scale replica of the original handheld--measuring 5.5 x 3.5 x 1 inches--and it perfectly replicates the small details of this classic gaming device with working buttons, volume sliders, and the lenticular screen.
See at AmazonLego collectors looking to grab a few more Nintendo-themed sets are spoiled for choice lately. The Super Mario franchise has been a big focus here, and you can pick up sets like the Mario Kart Display Model, a 1,972-piece replica of Mario on his signature red kart. You'll also want to look at getting the intimidating Mighty Bowser, and while it is pricy at $270, this recreation of the Koopa King is due to be retired soon. After it's no longer available, expect prices to surge for this cool collectible.

Reanimal is an upcoming horror-adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios, the same team behind Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II. It puts you in control of two children trying to survive and uncover the mysteries of a hostile island that was once their home. With its unsettling visuals and cooperative gameplay, Reanimal will hopefully build on Tarsier’s reputation for creating intimate and atmospheric horror.
Reanimal blends puzzle-solving, stealth, and exploration in a world filled with eerie creatures and twisted environments. You play as a brother and sister duo navigating the ruins of a corrupted island, solving environmental puzzles and hiding from monsters that seem to be shaped by their past trauma. The focus isn’t on combat, but survival--the connection between the two siblings is at the heart of the experience.

The game is listed on Steam as “coming soon.” The development team has said it wants to emphasize quality and won't rush to a release date. Yes, there are stability improvements, but that's not all with the new system updates rolling out for Switch 2 and Switch. The patch notes for version 21.0.0 highlight better visual clarity on the home menu for whether a game is owned physically or digitally, GameChat improvements, and a battery description alteration.
Switch 2 and the original Switch are receiving the new symbols that will "indicate whether the software is a physical or a digital version," according to Nintendo. The icons are now red like the cartridges for physical Switch 2 games, while they're black for physical Switch titles. However, in general, Switch 2 is seeing more changes with this update. For instance, GameChat should now ensure a game doesn't go to sleep while talking online with a friend. Plus, the system setting language for limiting a charge on the console now says, "Stop Charging Around 80-90%."
This is the first Switch 2 system update since version 20.5.0 released in September. That only brought about "stability improvements," something that's expected and joked about constantly in the video game community.

Sony has confirmed that Destiny 2 has fallen short of expectations, forcing the company to record an estimated $204 million impairment related to Bungie’s assets. During its Q2 FY2025 earnings call, Sony acknowledged that the popular shooter's player engagement and revenue have been weaker than anticipated since the 2022 acquisition of Bungie for $3.6 billion.
"Regarding Destiny 2, partially due to changes in the competitive environment, the level of sales and user engagement has not reached the expectation we had at the time of the acquisition of Bungie," CFO Lin Tao explained (translated via The Game Post).
Tao noted that Sony has "downwardly revised the business projection for the time being and recorded an impairment loss against a portion of the assets at Bungie." The ¥31.5 billion (approximately $204 million) impairment, combined with an additional ¥18.3 billion (about $118 million) expense tied to development cost corrections. Tao said these adjustments were necessary to reflect the game’s current performance, which has been affected by lower player activity and market competition.

Rue Valley, the isometric, story-driven RPG that looks quite like Disco Elysium, arrives today on PC, last- and current-gen Xbox and PlayStation platforms, and Switch. Though they look quite alike and both deal with some heavy themes, the specifics of Rue Valley help it stand apart.
The game tells the story of a man trapped in a timeloop where each reset changes who he will become and what he can do. Since players can bring their memories and knowledge with them across loops, you'll unlock new dialogue options and other interactions as the story unfolds.
With each loop, the player-character can be quite unlike his past or future self, said the creative team, with him acting like a "cold-hearted loner in one loop and a melodramatic loudmouth in the next." But all the while, a central mystery and the personal lives of other characters become focal points, with the team exploring some of its more serious themes through these characters.

Take Two sent the internet into a spin last week when it announced that GTA 6--by now one of the most anticipated game releases of all time--would be delayed another six months to November 19, 2026. Insider reports suggest the delay will cost Rockstar as much as $60 million, while other reports claim the game is already "content complete," with the extra time needed for polishing and bug fixes.
Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson revealed the cost of the delay in his November 8 podcast, as reported by Dexerto. "I got a number from a developer on this, and they think this is going to cost Take Two $10 million a month extra now. So, we're talking an extra $60 million." Henderson added that it could be as much as $100 million with additional costs factored in.
While $60 million is a huge chunk of money on its own, it's a fairly insignificant sum in the context of GTA 6's projected $2 billion budget--and the game is expected to be a huge earner, propping up not just Take-Two's profits, but the entire gaming industry's.

EA has announced a $12 Lead The Way DLC pack to honor Veterans Day in Battlefield 6 and Redsec, designed in collaboration with the National Ranger Association. However, eagle-eyed players have noted fine print in the bundle image that specifies: "no portion of the Lead The Way pack sales is donated."
The DLC pack is named for the "Rangers Lead The Way" slogan and rallying cry, and EA says the pack was created in collaboration with the National Ranger Association to "ensure authenticity." The pack includes the NATO Assault Soldier Skin, Glider 96 Vehicle Skin, a weapon package, a couple of customization items, as well as an XP boost and battle pass tier skip.
While players might have expected that proceeds from the bundle would go back to the non-profit it was created in tandem with, EA instead specified that no portion of sales will be donated. Instead of donating the profits, or even a portion of them, EA made an "independent donation" to the National Ranger Association.

Late last month, the superhero work comedy Dispatch was released by AdHoc Studio. Since then the episodic adventure game has sold 1 million copies in its first 10 days, and the fan response has only grown from there. So much so that AdHoc Studio co-founder Pierre Shorette has acknowledged that the game may not be one-and-done after this week's finale.
Shorette and his fellow co-founder Nick Herman were guests on The Friends Per Second podcast (Via Eurogamer) when a question about Dispatch Season 2 came up.
"[I think] that we're going to have to at least think about Season 2 now," said Shorette. "That was a question mark three weeks ago, you know. So, it's a very cool problem to have."

Next year, Refugium Games is sending players back to school with Agefield High: Rock the School. And you might actually like going to classes at this school, but the real action is off campus in this homage to the teenage sex comedies from the early 2000s. The influence of films like American Pie is very apparent in the first trailer for the game.
The game casts players as Sam Tatum, the new kid at Agefield High who quickly befriends Kale Baines and "wannabe rocker" Axel Philly. Sam and his new crew also a mutual enemy in Seth, one of the school's jocks. From the trailer, it looks like there will be plenty of chances to either pull a prank on Seth or physically fight him for high school dominance.
Now, you could sit in class for lessons in English, math, geography, German, and music; all of which are actually in the game. But you also have the freedom to skip class and explore the game's open world, which expands beyond the campus to include two neighborhoods, the town center, and the country side. Rebellion is encouraged, but adult authority figures like teachers and cops will chase players if they catch them breaking the law or skipping school.
Continue Reading at GameSpotNintendo Has Sold 6 Billion+ Games, Including Nearly 1.5 Billion On Switch Alone
Nintendo is one of the longest-running and best-known gaming companies on the planet, but just how many games and systems has Nintendo sold over the years?
The company said today that it's now sold more than 870 million systems and in excess of 6 billion games globally. Nintendo did not provide a breakdown by platform, but Nintendo's public investor relations website shows that the original Switch accounts for a whopping 1.452 billion game sales alone and 154.01 million systems sold. In fact, the Switch is just 10,000 units shy of passing the DS (154.02 million) to become Nintendo's best-selling platform ever.
Behind the Switch and DS for hardware sales is the Game Boy (118.69), the Wii (101.63 million), and the Game Boy Advance (81.51 million) to round out the top five best-selling Nintendo platforms.

EA and developer Full Circle have released a new blog post that speaks to feedback since the early access game Skate launched in September, and the developer is not shying away from owning up to some issues. The developer also outlined free rewards coming to players and how some, but not all, will carry over to the next season.
The studio said "tens of millions" of people have played Skate so far, and it has acknowledged the experience has been bumpy for some. "Things have not gone as smoothly for some of you as we would have liked," the team said.
Full Circle said "a lot more" people than expected turned up to play Skate. "And with that came bugs, glitches, progression locks, and performance issues," the studio said.

Battlefield 6 and the battle royale game Redsec are getting a new update on November 11, featuring a number of quality-of-life updates and bug fixes. Included in the patch notes is the removal of one of the game's most infamous exploits.
Update 1.1.1.5 launches on Tuesday, November 11 at 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET. The biggest change may be the removal of a bug that allows players to stand on the XFGM-6D Recon Drone and ascend into the air by smashing it with a sledgehammer. Riding on top of a drone in this way allows players to access unintended areas and shoot at people from places where foes wouldn't expect, and it's going away soon.
This has been an ongoing point of frustration for players, who have made their concerns known for a month now in places like Reddit and elsewhere.
Continue Reading at GameSpotPhasmophobia's Next Map, Nell's Diner, Hints At The Game's Exciting Future
Phasmophobia first exploded onto the scene during the pandemic. The co-op ghost-hunting and investigation game was a hit when many people were spending more time at home but still seeking social experiences, and it's continued to grow and evolve in the years since. Its latest major update adds Nell's Diner, an Americana-infused map that pairs a desolate stretch of highway out front with an eerily familiar greasy-spoon setup inside. I recently took an early tour of the diner, and I was delighted to see how it hints at the future of what is surely one of the best multiplayer horror games.
Nell's Diner, Phasmophobia art director Corey Dixon told me, is full of unique assets, many more interaction points than a typical map in the game, and several Easter eggs. Back when the game was developed by a single person, Daniel Knight, his expertise was in programming, not things like art direction, which is why today Phasmophobia still mostly uses some generic assets for things like furnishings, vehicles, and even the feared ghosts themselves. But as Phasmophobia turns a corner and heads toward its exit from 1.0, the team is looking to overhaul its visual identity. That's been the thinking behind recent map makeovers like the run-down Grafton Farmhouse or its more lavish cousin, the Bleasdale Farmhouse.
In the future, this also means things like character models are getting a re-do and a cosmetics shop is on the way, but before any of that comes Nell's Diner, a brand-new map that looks quite unlike anything else in the game. Out front, the neon sign hazily buzzes through the fog, luring passersby who might've pulled off the road amid a tiring trip. When ghost investigators in Phasmophobia arrive on the scene, it'll be after something has gone on, which Dixon said is intentionally left for players to determine. A police vehicle is left out front with its lights still spinning, and indoors, some kind of ruckus has clearly occurred, with stools overturned and the kitchen left in a messy state.

If there's a common complaint about Hollow Knight: Silksong, it's that the game can be punishingly hard at times. Team Cherry has previously shared a PC Patch to lower Silksong's difficulty, but the game's newest update goes even further by nerfing the damned Muckmaggots that make things so difficult in Bilewater and the Putrified Ducts.
The Muckmaggots previously ate Hornet's silk with impunity, and even binding these creatures forced players to use what little silk they had to hold them back. The update makes it easier to clear out the Muckmaggots with the Wreath of Purity, which gives Hornet a chance to heal herself by using a second bind.
Silksong's Chinese translation has also been updated with fan-made translation by Team Cart Fit. Team Cherry praised the new translation by calling it "well-versed in the (quite dense) narrative and lore of both Hollow Knight games" and thanked the members of the team for letting the studio use it. The earlier Chinese translation drew criticisms from native Chinese speakers and led to the game being review-bombed.
