Based on the iconic video game franchise, Season 2 of the Paramount+ series, Halo is locked and ready to unload on February 8. Actor Pablo Schreiber's Master Chief John-117 leads his elite team of Spartans against the alien threat of the Covenant Empire. Paramount released the first trailer, and it's a lot to unpack in the two and a half minutes.

This is the first footage shown outside of last month's CCXP in Brazil and shows Master Chief up against tumultuous odds--nothing he hasn't been through before. Check out the new footage below.

Season 2 will also bring new blood to the cast with Joseph Morgan as James Ackerson. Ackerson is a colonel in the UNSC Army that fans might know from the Halo novels.

28 Days Later is one of the most beloved zombie movies of all time, and is often credited with popularizing the trend of depicting terrifyingly fast zombies after decades of undead shamblers. The braintrust of the original 2002 movie and executive producers of the 2007 follow-up, 28 Weeks Later, is reconvening to create 28 Years Later, a sequel that has intentions to launch a new trilogy.

According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland have plans to shop the movie rights around to various studios and streaming platforms as early as this week. Boyle, the report says, will direct the first film in what is intended to lead to two more thereafter, while Garland will write all three. Both will serve as producers, too.

Another sequel has long been rumored, with the next title often considered to be 28 Months Later, given the series' naming conventions, but the pair now look to leap years ahead to presumably follow the same plague that originated in the movie that launched Cillian Murphy's career. It also arguably ignited the modern obsession with zombie media, and properties like Left 4 Dead, The Walking Dead, and World War Z likely don't exist without it--or at least they'd look quite different.

A new trailer for Prime Video's Mr. and Mrs. Smith TV series has arrived, showing off more of what to expect from the spy agency thriller starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.

Inspired by the 2005 Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the TV series focuses on two strangers who join a spy agency and have an arranged marriage. The show focuses on a new mission each week while the couple also deals with each other. And you guessed it, the unlikely pair eventually catch feelings and things get even more complicated from there.

There is a lot going on the new trailer, and one standout scene shows Glover and Erskine breaking someone's legs and seemingly murdering them in a bath tub. In addition to Glover and Erskine, the show features Paul Dano, John Turturro, and Michaela Coel.

Nintendo has revealed some fresh twists for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake on Switch. The game will feature two new worlds--called Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit--as well as a local co-op mode where another person can control Toad.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong's new worlds mean there will be more than 130 levels for the remake. Nintendo highlighted Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit in a recently released gameplay trailer on YouTube. The video also showcases Toad teaming up with Mario to solve puzzles in the game.

Those aren't the only additions to Mario vs. Donkey Kong, either. The game will offer a Casual mode, which tones down the difficulty and provides extra chances when things go wrong. Nintendo is also promising Plus levels, Expert levels, and Time Attack for the remake.

Yesterday, performer's union SAG-AFTRA announced a deal with AI voice studio Replica Studios that would allow game developers to use AI-generated voices on union projects. The announcement was met with outcry from many of the industry's most prolific voice actors, who claim they were blindsided by the agreement.

Today, the union and Replica have both revealed more details about the agreement, including releasing the full text of the contract itself, complete with compensation requirements and details around consent and protections required for using AI voices.

While SAG-AFTRA's initial press release stated that the agreement was approved by "affected members of the union’s voiceover performer community," an FAQ released today clarifies that the bargaining was done by the union's Interactive Media Negotiating Committee in a process that has been "years in the making." SAG-AFTRA also explains that this contract was not required to be sent out to members for a referendum as it "only sets terms for a single company." Per the terms of its constitution, this kind of contract can be approved by the executive committee.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is leading the pack this year at the 2024 DICE Awards with nine nominations, behind Peter and Miles is Alan Wake 2 with eight nominations and Baldur's Gate 3 with seven nominations. In addition, Cocoon and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are frontrunners for Game of the Year. A total of 56 games this year have been nominated that span across 23 categories.

Each year, The DICE Awards nominees are chosen by Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) members. The AIAS is made up of developers and industry experts. Last year, during the 2023 DICE Awards, Elden Ring walked away with Game of the Year. It's also worth noting that in addition to earning the DICE Game of the Year Award, Elden Ring earned GameSpot's 2022 Game of the Year.

Like last year, this year's show will be streamed by IGN on February 15 from the Aria Resort in Las Vegas, and it'll be hosted by Stella Chung and Greg Miller.

There exist rumors of a secret cave in Fortnite that houses large quantities of loot off the beaten path, providing players with both privacy and an abundance of loot chests to open quickly, more tightly arranged than perhaps anywhere else on the island. These kinds of riches are the sort of thing that could give you a huge leg up on the competition--if you get there first. And guess what? The rumors are true. The Fortnite loot cave is real in Chapter 5 Season 1, and we're going to show you how to find it.

Fortnite secret cave location

The secret cave can be found in Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite along the eastern coast of the island, at the foot of a mountain that is southeast of Grand Glacier. In it, you'll find several loot chests tucked away as you trek deeper into the cave's structure. In total, you'll find approximately eight chests--this may be subject to change based on how loot spawns somewhat differently in each round, as well as floor loot. Below we've marked where you can find the loot cave on the map.

The nice thing about this loot cave is that it's near some of the game's other best drops, including the lip of the tallest mountain which contains three loot chests, a safe, and multiple barrels filled with Chug Splash and Slurp Splash. Just down the zipline from there is a campsite with the game's only NPC who can ping enemies for you when you hire him. And just down the slope from him is a small shack that remarkably houses 11 Chug Splash barrels and a chest.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Season 1 Reloaded update includes a new crossover with The Boys TV series, bringing more operator bundles, limited-time event challenges, and a Supe-themed multiplayer mode.

The latest Call of Duty blog post reveals the details for MW3's upcoming Supe'd Up multiplayer mode. This new limited-time mode is described as Kill Confirmed with a twist. In Supe'd Up, fallen operators drop doses of Temp V, which is named after the super serum used in The Boys, giving players temporary power boosts like Heat Vision.

AMC debuted the first trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live which sees Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira once again reprise their roles as Rick Grimes and Michonne as they search for each other in a whole new world.

Premiering on February 25 on AMC and AMC+, The Ones Who Live will see Rick and Michonne searching for one another. Rick was thought to be dead after Season 9 of the original Walking Dead show. Meanwhile, Michonne left in Season 10 to search for her lover. Check out the new footage below.

Surviving until you're the last player or team standing in Call of Duty: Warzone is no longer the only way to win a match of the popular battle royale game.

With the upcoming Season 1 Reloaded update, Warzone is introducing the ability to perform a "covert exfil." Players can purchase these from buy stations before the gulag closes, and there are only five available per match. Purchasing a covert exfil calls in a helicopter that will fly you out of the battlefield and into safety.

Warzone will also add a leaderboard that tracks who has the most successful covert exfils. These do not count as a traditional "win," however, and they won't count toward Champion's Quest progress. More information will be announced soon, Raven Software said.

For the first time ever, Blizzard is letting the World of Warcraft community vote not only on what its powerful endgame class tier sets will look like, but what kind of build-changing set bonuses the sets will offer.

WoW's current expansion, Dragonflight, will receive one final season this spring ahead of the MMO's next expansion, The War Within, later this year. Dragonflight Season 4 will be a "remix" of sorts, featuring retooled raids from earlier in the expansion with upgraded loot to boot. That loot will include upgraded class tier sets, which made a big comeback in Dragonflight after being absent for WoW's previous two expansions.

However, the tier sets on offer for Season 4 won't be entirely new. Instead, they will be voted on by the game's community, with players of each class and specialization having the option to mix and match tier set appearances and set bonuses from Dragonflight Seasons 1-3.

For the past eight years, Will Ospreay has performed with New Japan Pro Wrestling, becoming one of its biggest stars and even one of its former World Champions. Early in his New Japan tenure, the performer appeared under the moniker the "Aerial Assassin," complete with gear inspired by Assassin's Creed protagonist Ezio. Now, as he wraps up his time in NJPW, Ospreay revisited his former personality recently with a new elaborate costume inspired by Assassin's Creed Syndicate's Jacob Frye during his marquee match at Wrestle Kingdom.

The outfit was complete with a top hat and hidden blade on display. It was more than that, though, as even the game's theme music blasted through Japan's iconic Tokyo Dome, before switching to Ospreay's traditional theme "Elevate."

Talking to GameSpot, Ospreay--soon to be an AEW wrestler once his contract ends in New Japan--revealed that the collaboration was the work of New Japan publicist Farbod Esnaashari and Ubisoft's Chris Navalta. For Ospreay, it was a lifelong dream come true.

Madden 24 players can now play Franchise mode with cross-play, included for all current-gen platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the first time in the series, the game launched with cross-play last August, but the team at EA Tiburon noted that the feature wouldn't be there at launch for Franchise mode, though players in other modes like Head to Head and Ultimate Team were able to use it. After some internal testing, the feature launches for all players on those aforementioned platforms today. But there's a catch.

Franchise cross-play launches in beta, so EA has warned players that they may want to make a new league to use with cross-play, even though existing leagues do work with it right away. That's because, should EA later need to pull the feature temporarily while it's still being optimized, leagues already utilizing cross-play would be unavailable for that time, as noted on the game's blog.

"Please note that this feature is in live beta and can be implemented in any league," the blog reads. "However, please note we strongly recommend that you start a new Franchise file for Crossplay in the event our team would need to temporarily disable the feature during the live beta."

Bananas can be harvested from banana trees in your valley, while Milk and Slush Ice can be purchased at Chez Remy. Sugarcane must be harvested by planting seeds you purchase from Goofy's Stall on Dazzle Beach. Lastly, sweets include Sugarcane, so you can just pop in another one of those to round out your dish.
