Preorder at Amazon

The classic dungeon-crawling fantasy board game HeroQuest is getting a new expansion on August 1. HeroQuest has received many expansions over its 35-plus year history, but The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness Quest Pack has a unique hook: It was written and designed by massive tabletop RPG fan and actor Joe Manganiello (Zack Snyder's Justice League, Magic Mike, True Blood). This expansion was previously exclusive to crowdfunding backers for HeroQuest's relaunch, but soon all players will be able to embark on quests created by Manganiello.

You can preorder Joe Manganiello's The Crypt of Perpetual Darkness Quest Pack at Amazon for $35. While Amazon currently lists the release date as August 1, your local game store might have copies starting July 15. To play the expansion, you will either need a copy of HeroQuest Game System or HeroQuest: First Light.

Elden Ring Movie Could Reportedly Star This Warfare Actor

Game News - Fri, 05/30/2025 - 10:09

Earlier this month, A24 announced that it will bring Elden Ring to the big screen as a live-action movie. Now, the first actor circling a role in the film is reportedly Kit Connor, who recently had a leading part in A24's Warfare.

As reported by Deadline, Connor has not closed his deal with A24 and it's unclear how far the negotiations have progressed. If the contract is agreed upon, Connor will reunite with his Warfare director Alex Garland, who is writing and directing Elden Ring. The report notes that scheduling the film to accommodate Connor and Garland may be a challenge, but both of them "want this to happen."

The closest thing that Connor has had to a video game movie in the past is a small part in Ready Player One. He has since gone on to larger roles in Rocketman, The Wild Robot, His Dark Materials, and the Netflx original series Heartstopper. Garland established himself as an author before moving to screenwriting with 28 Days Later, Sunshine, and Dredd. He later broke out a director with Ex Machina, Annihilation, and Civil War.

Elden Ring Nightreign Raider Class Guide

Game News - Fri, 05/30/2025 - 08:00

Elden Ring Nightreign features a number of different classes to choose from as you and a couple of friends go up against the Night Lords. The Raider is a heavy character, best used with large weapons, like battle axes. Despite his large size, he is not exactly a tank like the Guardian class, but he can take quite a bit of damage.

The Raider is best if you enjoy using slow-but-hard-hitting weapons. He pairs well with Ironeye, as breaking Ironeye's Marking ability deals a ton of damage. This guide covers the Raider's abilities, along with some Relic types that work well. Be sure to also check out our look at the best Elden Ring Nightreign classes and our Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub.

Table of Contents [hide]How the Raider Class works in Elden Ring NightreignThe Raider excels with heavy weapons, but swings them real slow.

The Raider is all about Strength, which is really the only attribute he has going for him. That makes two-handed weapons, although you will want to dual wield them, his primary go-to, which can make using him a bit difficult. Nightreign moves quickly, and the Raider moves slowly, with slow weapon swings. He also is lacking in Stamina, limiting the frequency of his attacks, making it even slower to deal damage as the Raider. With attentive teammates and at least one other melee attacker, the Raider works well.

Elden Ring Nightreign Ironeye Class Guide

Game News - Fri, 05/30/2025 - 08:00

The Ironeye class in Elden Ring Nightreign is the archer of the group, focused on dealing ranged damage. Armed with a bow, Ironeye is one of the few characters that can stand back to deal damage, making him extremely useful in tough boss fights. The Ironeye also has the best ability in the game, making him one of the S-Tier classes on our Elden Ring Nightreign classes tier list.

Picking the right class for your playstyle or the best class to fit with your teammates' choices can be tough. With Elden Ring Nightreign being so challenging, it's hard to just pick up a class and figure it out. This guide covers all of the Ironeye's abilities, as well as the kind of Relics you should be on the lookout for. For more, check out GameSpot's Elden Ring Nightreign guides hub.

Table of Contents [hide]How the Ironeye class works in Elden Ring NightreignIroneye's Marking ability creates a red X on enemies, which deals extra damage if broken.

The Ironeye class excels with bows and other Dexterity focused weapons, like Claws, although you will want to stick with a ranged weapon when possible. While the base damage of Ironeye isn't great, you will want to avoid greatbows, which are too slow to use in Elden Ring Nightreign outside of special circumstances. The ranged weaponry allows you to deal damage while an enemy is focused on one of your teammates, and you can revive people from a safe distance. Ironeye can also mark enemies, which deals a ton of additional damage and makes up for the weak main attacks.

Elden Ring Nightreign Guardian Class Guide

Game News - Fri, 05/30/2025 - 08:00

Every story needs a heroic figure, and Elden Ring Nightreign's might be the Guardian class. The Pinionfolk knight is one of the first faces you'll see at the Roundtable Hold, and for good reason. The character can not only be a damage powerhouse, but also an excellent frontrunner in terms of defense and abilities to help his teammates.

There are multiple characters to pick, and it can't be hard to decide on one in the heat of matchmaking, especially if somebody else calls dibs on your favorite. As such, being knowledgeable of the strengths and weaknesses of each will be beneficial in the short to long run. This guide covers everything you need to know about the Guardian class in Elden Ring Nightreign, from its attributes and abilities to the best relics. Be sure to also check out our look at the best Elden Ring Nightreign classes.

Table of Contents [hide]How the Guardian class works in Elden Ring Nightreign

In Elden Ring Nightreign, the Guardian class' attributes are balanced toward HP and stamina, excelling at the former. He also has decent strength, while everything else should be a no-no from a prioritization perspective. If you're the type of player who prefers to play the role of a tank in multiplayer games, the aptly named Guardian is a great choice.

Game News - Fri, 05/30/2025 - 08:00

Elden Ring Nightreign is a complex multiplayer game, but the Wylder class provides some comfort as the ideal starting character. A jack-of-all-trades nature meets a fairly straightforward set of abilities to master, which is great, since you'll have plenty to learn during the first few dozen expeditions to Limveld.
