As you explore the school section of Silent Hill f, you'll eventually come across an objective that asks you to open a locker. You'll soon find out, though, that there are actually three lockers you can open across the two rooms on the bottom floor of the school. One of the school lockers contains an important item required for advancing the story, while the other two are optional. However, you'll want to unlock all three, as doing so leads to an item that grants extra inventory space.
Below, we'll fill you in on how to open every school locker in Silent Hill f.
How to open all of the school lockers in Silent Hill fThe students in the school have created a secret code with letters and numbers, and it just so happens to have a direct effect on their locker combinations. By exploring the school, you can uncover various additional hints that flesh out how to use the secret code. But the basic explanation is that the code assigns numbers to letters, and any letters in a name that aren't assigned a number are ignored.

Silent Hill f is out now, and the series' first foray into Japan features many of its classic staples. This is noticeable early on during the altar puzzle, the game's first puzzle sequence you'll encounter. If this early puzzle has you stumped, don't worry, we have the solution right here to help you. Here's how to solve the Silent Hill f altar puzzle.
Silent Hill f - altar puzzle guideThis first puzzle won't be as tricky as some of those you'll encounter later, like the shrine vault puzzle or the Silent Hill f locker codes, but it may still stump you if you've not noticed a key detail that reveals the answer.
When you reach the altar, you'll find five stands and five items, or "offerings," before you on plates. It may be immediately apparent that you must place the items in a specific order, but the related poem sure leaves you guessing. The five offerings include a vase, a paper fan, and three dead animals, each of them dressed in some kind of ceremonial wrappings, including a bird, mouse, and fish.

ROG Xbox Ally X Gaming Handheld
Price TBA | Releases October 16
See at Best Buy See at AmazonPrice TBA | Releases October 16
See at Best Buy See at AmazonThe ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X launch in less than a month, but as with many new tech products this year, there's some uncertainty on the price of the first Xbox-branded handhelds. Official price points have yet to be confirmed by Microsoft or Asus. As such, it's unclear when preorders will be available ahead of the ROG Xbox Ally's October 16 launch. Clarity on these questions could come very soon, though.
With Xbox hosting a livestream at the Tokyo Game Show this week, we wouldn't be surprised if more details are revealed during the event. The Xbox presentation is scheduled for Thursday, September 25, at 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET. Xbox has also said Tokyo Game Show attendees will be able to try the new handhelds on the show floor.
The internet has been rife with rumors about the price of the handhelds, which Xbox co-developed with Asus. Listings for both handhelds have appeared on Amazon and Best Buy. While Amazon has removed its store pages, Best Buy still has both handhelds on its site. At one point, the ROG Xbox Ally was listed at $550, while the ROG Xbox Ally X was $850. The prices were quickly removed, so it's possible the final price points will differ. As we've come to expect, the ongoing tariff situation in the US is playing a major role here. Just last week, Microsoft announced price increases for the Xbox Series X|S in the US; the new prices take effect October 3. With this in mind, the $550/$850 price points are likely the best case scenario.

I recently got to play around 20 minutes of the newest Hyrule Warriors game, Age of Imprisonment, and there's a lot for fans of Zelda and Musou games to be interested in. For the former, it'll come as exciting news that Age of Imprisonment is canon. While Age of Calamity was pretty wishy-washy with alternate timeline ideas, Nintendo is going all-in for its follow-up and making everything you see in Age of Imprisonment true to the mainline story. We all know what happens in the end with Ganondorf, but there are, of course, a lot of questions about what happened before and after.
From a gameplay standpoint, Age of Imprisonment will let players get their hands on a good variety of characters from the canon and, given what I saw from just Zelda, Rauru, and Mineru, this is a very good roster filled with very exciting prospects.
During my time with Age of Imprisonment, we got to head underground with Rauru, Mineru, and Zelda, the latter of whom mentions that it is her first time in the depths and that she didn't know it existed. Mineru explains that the depths have multiple sites of sacred power and that she's been collecting constructs for her research. She wasn't able to investigate the depths on her own until Zelda and her powers of light came along to give them the ole' beatdown.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Complete Official Guide
See at AmazonMetal Gear fans are likely busy working their way through the recent Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake, but those looking to add a unique piece to their Metal Gear merch collection back at Mother Base should take a quick detour to procure the official Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain strategy guide. Not only is it--surprisingly--still available at Amazon nearly a decade after it first launched, it's also discounted to $19.70 (was $25).
This a cool piece of official merch for the final game in the Metal Gear series--though if you haven't played the game it's based on yet, you can also grab The Phantom Pain and its standalone prequel chapter, Ground Zeroes, for just $23 on PlayStation or PC with the Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Complete Official Guide $19.70 (was $25)This paperback guide sits at 368 pages, offering an in-depth look at everything you’d ever need to know about The Phantom Pain. From detailed mission walkthroughs to diagrams and analysis of the game’s many systems, the guide leaves no stone unturned. It also comes with a story recap--so even if you’ve lost track of what’s happening in the convoluted MGS universe, you should be able to dive into MGS V without any trouble.
As an added bonus, it comes with a poster that offers a detailed look at the world map.
The guide was published by Piggback, a company that's published guides for Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Cyberpunk 2077, and other high-profile games. It’s also from the same team that previously worked on guides for other Metal Gear Solid titles--so it’s all but guaranteed to offer an accurate, in-depth look at MGS V.
A Collector’s Edition of the guide was also released, but is out of print. This version includes a few exclusive goodies like a lithograph by Yoji Shinkawa and an art gallery. It's hard to come by, but new and used copies occasionally surface from third-party resellers on Amazon.
See at AmazonOf course, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the title stealing the spotlight right now. Our review gave it a superb 9/10, as it does a wonderful job of remastering one of the best PS2 games for modern audiences. If you’re interested in picking it up, the Tactical Edition is available for $68 at multiple online retailers (was $70). This is essentially the standard physical edition of the game, but it includes some extra DLC. PC players can also purchase the Steam version for just $52.38 (was $70) at Fanatical. Die-hard fans can also grab the $200 physical Collector's Edition, which is still in stock at Amazon. It includes the base game, bonus DLC content, and a selection of collectibles like a diorama display of Snake sneaking through the forest, embroidered patches, and an exclusive metal case for the game.

Annapurna Interactive went to Tokyo Game Show with three game reveals ready to go, and the results of its three-pronged showcase have resulted in an eclectic slate of upcoming games the company will be publishing. The team showed off a new puzzler in a strangely cozy dystopia, a turn-based RPG that's also part musical, and perhaps most interesting of them all, a game that looks quite like a Legend of Zelda sequel. Here's what you need to know about all three.
D-topiaD-Topia is described as a puzzle game in which you play the role of a "Facilitator" working at the D-topia residential facility. There, you'll address concerns of the residents while uncovering a secret at the heart of the AI-run society. The "perfectly happy world" that the game is set in seems to be nothing more than a facade, and it's up to you to expose the reality of the situation. D-topia is developed by Marumittu Games and it's coming to PC, Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox in 2026.
People of NotePeople of Note is one part musical, one part turn-based RPG. Basically, it's the dream game for GameSpot's Jordan Ramee. Both the story and the game's combat mechanics lean into the musical aspect of the experience, giving players a big cast of characters who can belt out solos and beat down rivals. People of Note comes from Iridium Studios in 2026 for PC, Xbox, and PS5.

Battlefield 6's Story Campaign Lets You Have Fun With Destruction When It Wants To
Recently, I attended EA's digital preview event for Battlefield 6's single-player campaign. This event gave me access to three full campaign missions, which collectively highlighted a wide variety of environments and mission types. From storming the beaches of Gibraltar in tanks to gritty close-quarters fights in New York City, the preview contained everything you'd expect from a Battlefield campaign: iconic weaponry, grounded military-style aesthetics, and no shortage of explosions and destruction.
Battlefield 6's campaign takes place in 2027 after NATO gets reduced to shambles, and a private military corporation known as Pax Armata has risen to power. This corporation's attempts to further accumulate power threaten to send the world into global conflict. The story follows members of the elite US Marine raiders unit known as Dagger 1-3 as they fight against Pax Armata's forces on a global scale. During this hands-on session, I played missions set in Gibraltar, the United States, and Tajikistan.
I was first introduced to Battlefield 6's third campaign mission, Operation Gladus. This part of the story takes place in the city of Gibraltar, which is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. The mission began with our arrival by water to reach the beaches of Gibraltar, as Pax Armata had seized control of the city. The historic rock of Gibraltar was on my left as we reached land, and it was a stunning view despite the low graphics settings my laptop needed to use.

Today, during the PlayStation State of Play livestream, Insomniac Games provided a new look at Marvel's Wolverine, the studio's next Marvel superhero adventure. It also revealed that Spartacus actor Liam McIntyre will voice Wolverine in the game.
The trailer pits Wolverine against a few familiar faces, including Omega Red and a giant sentinel. Mystique also put in an appearance, but not necessarily as a friend or foe. Most of Wolverine's enemies appear to be from the Reavers, a group of cyborgs who hate mutants. Insomniac also confirmed that the story will take Wolverine all over the world, from the Canadian wilderness to the streets of Tokyo, as well as to Logan's old stomping grounds in Madripoor.
Marvel's Wolverine was first revealed during the PlayStation Showcase in September 2021, while this new trailer is the first official update for the game since that initial reveal. Insomniac Games suffered a massive data breach in December 2023, and the data released from the breach included some raw footage of a pre-alpha Wolverine build.

During the September 2025 State of Play, PlayStation revealed a new trailer for Crimson Desert. The trailer concluded with the announcement of the upcoming action-adventure's release date: March 19, 2026.
The trailer uses in-game footage captured on PlayStation 5 Pro, and it looks beautiful. Most of the footage seems to be from cutscenes, but a few clips appear to be gameplay. Given developer Pearl Abyss' track record, it's no surprise to see Crimson Desert have such incredible-looking visuals--that's probably the best part about Black Desert Online.
Other than the release date, the trailer doesn't reveal any new information, but Pearl Abyss has talked about Crimson Desert a lot up to this point. You play as Kliff, one of the last surviving members of the troop known as the Greymanes. Tasked with finding and reuniting the others who managed to escape an ambush that devastated the Greymanes' numbers some time before the main events of the game, Kliff must contend with a multitude of people and cultures across the continent of Pywel.

During today's State of Play, a new look at Housemarque's Saros was shown off. Following the cinematic teaser for the game during the PlayStation February State of Play, this new trailer confirmed the release date is March 20, 2026. It also offered a first look at gameplay and how the protagonist of Arjun Devraj--voiced by Midnight Mass actor Rahul Kohli--can turn every death into a painful learning experience to help him grow stronger.
Saros is a spiritual successor to Housemarque's previous game, Returnal. Similar to that action-packed roguelite, Saros is set on the planet Carcosa, a world inhabited by all manner of creatures looking to stop Devraj's investigation. Caught in the shadow of a sinister eclipse, Devraj has to deal with nightmarish characters that want him dead. It looks like they'll succeed--and frequently--but death is not necessarily the end for Devraj.
The big difference between Saros and Returnal is that there will be permanent resources and progression to help players out should they die during a run. Housemarque says that you will be able to choose and permanently upgrade your loadout from an evolving set of weapons and suit upgrades to help you overcome deadly challenges on Carocosa.

A new trailer for Bandai-Namco's Code Vein II debuted on the September 24th PlayStation State of Play broadcast. A release date of January 30, 2026 has also been revealed.
Code Vein II is the sequel to 2019's cult-classic vampire-themed action/RPG Code Vein. Your custom-created protagonist character teams up with a time-bending young woman named Lou to discover the origin of the Luna Rapacis and stop the world's decay.
Time-travel and exploration will be important elements of gameplay, as will the series' unique "blood action" combat skills. You'll be able to customize many aspects of your player character, from appearance to skills and weaponry--including two new weapons, Rune Blades and Dual Swords. Also new are the "Forma" skills that generate a variety of powerful effects: thus far, we've seen the Motorcycle Forma and the Absolute Execution Sword, debuting in this trailer.
