Japan Just Made History By Landing On The Moon But There Is Some Bad News Too
Japan has become only the fifth country in the history of the world to land on the Moon, but it wasn't all good news, as the lander might have run out of power.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) announced that its Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) successfully touched down on the moon's surface on January 20. The space agency was able to establish communication with the craft when it landed. However, JAXA said the solar cells on the craft are "not generating power."
In another statement, JAXA said the SLIM's battery only had 12% remaining when it touched down. It was disconnected to avoid being unable to restart as the space agency hopes for favorable sunlight conditions to power it up. SLIM's solar cells are facing west, which gives the craft a chance of catching some rays.

WWE 2K24 will be arriving in March and now we know a lot more about it--including who's going to be on the covers and some very exciting new match types. We also spoke with 2K24's developers to get a better idea about the biggest changes in the game. Let's break it all down.
Three ways to playIn total, there are three different versions of the game, all with their own covers and bonuses.
The standard edition of the game, which will hit stores on Friday, March 8, features none other than "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes on its cover. Marvel's first family is headed to the silver screen in the future, and as for who's playing the role the team's granite-skinned powerhouse, Emmy-winning actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach has responded to rumors that he has been cast as The Thing... sort of.
Speaking to The Wrap about rumors of him playing Benjamin Grimm, The Bear actor said "Oh, I can't confirm, and I can't deny, I think."
That's a response that is ripe for interpretation, although it wouldn't be the first time that an actor has played coy with their casting in a Marvel movie. Andrew Garfield kept fans guessing for months about whether or not he'd make an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home--"No matter what I say, I'm f**ked"--and other actors typically play their cards close to their chest to maintain an air of secrecy.

People are once again discussing director Christopher Nolan's attitude about bathroom breaks during filming. After Oppenheimer star Cilian Murphy said Nolan is "not sympathetic" to bathroom breaks, another star from the film, Robert Downey Jr., has shared his own perspective.
Speaking to Vanity Fair (via Complex), Downey Jr. said plainly that Nolan "doesn't even really like it when you go to the bathroom, but he understands you have to."
Given this information, Downey Jr. said he asked Nolan about his own personal bathroom habits. Nolan apparently told him that he uses the facilities twice a day during filming, at 11 AM and 6 PM.

CD Projekt Red is gearing up to ramp up production on The Witcher 4 later this year, with the company planning to avoid using artificial intelligence programs to replace its employees. Instead, CDPR plans to have "around 400" people working on the sequel in a few months.
"We'd like to have around 400 people working on the project by the middle of the year", CDPR CEO Adam Badowski explained to Forbes. When asked about the use of AI tools, Badowski added that while the company had formed a team to look at how it could incorporate this technology into its work, it didn't see it as a replacement for its employees.
"We think that AI is something that can help improve certain processes in game production, but not replace people," Badowski said. Currently, CDPR has several projects in varying stages of development, ranging from a remake of the first Witcher game all the way up to a full-fledged sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, although these are being developed in the wake of the company laying off 10% of its workforce.

The game sells for $27 on Steam and $30 on Xbox, so quick math shows that this game has probably already earned many, many millions of dollars for developer Pocketpair. It's also available on Xbox Game Pass, so it very may well have reached more than 5 million people already.

Want something with a retro feel but modern touches? Dusk is a pretty great game inspired by the likes of Doom, Quake, and Hexen. It has lightning-fast gameplay, a killer soundtrack, and an arsenal of weapons that can be used to turn a mystic backwater town into a parking lot once the dust has settled. In case you missed out on them when they first came out, there are a few other good games to check out here. The Hong Kong Massacre will likely appeal to Hotline Miami fans, and the original Rage is still a pretty solid post-apocalyptic adventure from Id Software.
