Dragon Ball Super: Complete Series Steelbook Box Set (Blu-ray) $130 (was $200)

The entire Dragon Ball Super arc is collected across 20 discs, two in each steelbook case. That's right, this gift set comes with 10 steelbooks and a premium metal display case. The box has dedicated slots for each steelbook and a lid featuring the dragon Shenron.

At the $130 deal price, you're paying $13 per steelbook, which is quite cheap compared to standalone anime Blu-rays with steelbook cases.

All told, you're getting over 54 hours of anime across 131 episodes in this set. You can watch the series in English with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround Sound or in the original Japanese with Dolby TrueHD 2.0 audio and English subtitles.

The even number discs in the box set have multiple textless opening/closing songs as well as interviews, expo panels, and other featurettes as bonus features.

Dragon Ball Super takes place during a 10-year period following the Majin Buu arc in Dragon Ball Z. So if you want to refresh your memory before diving in, you may be interested in the box set below, too.

Just like with Season 1, the second and final season of Netflix's animated League of Legends series is getting two unique collectible editions. Arcane Season 2's 4K Blu-ray Steelbook Edition is discounted to $46 (was $60), and the standard Blu-ray Steelbook Edition is on sale for $43 (was $55). Arcane Season 2 releases on Blu-ray October 28. Valve Explains Why PayPay Doesn't Work In Some Countries

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 08:28

With certain parties targeting payment processors as a way to control what kinds of games are allowed to be sold, paying for games on services like Steam is a little bit weird right now. In fact, if you've tried to pay for something on Steam using PayPal recently, you might've noticed that the option isn't available. This is apparently isolated to certain countries, and now Valve has offered an explanation.

"In early July 2025, PayPal notified Valve that their acquiring bank for payment transactions in certain currencies was immediately terminating the processing of any transactions related to Steam," Valve wrote on its Purchasing Issues support page, as reported by RockPaper Shotgun. "This affects Steam purchases using PayPal in currencies other than EUR, CAD, GBP, JPY, AUD and USD."

"We hope to offer PayPal as an option for these currencies in the future but the timeline is uncertain," the page continues. "We are also evaluating adding additional payment methods on Steam for the customers affected by this. In the meantime, please use one of our other current payment methods during checkout. If you can't use any of the available options, you can consider using a Steam Wallet code to add funds to your account."

Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Collector's Soundtrack Gets Steep Discount

Amazon is offering a steep discount on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Collector's Edition Soundtrack. Fans can get the nine-disc, 344-track box set for $114. That's still expensive for a collection of CDs in 2025, but the Collector's Edition version of the soundtrack originally sold for $194 at Amazon last year. The list price has since dropped to $158 on Amazon, but it's a huge price regardless. The Collector's Edition includes a Master Sword USB drive loaded with additional 5.1 surround sound tracks. The only downside with this deal is that Amazon currently estimates a one- to two-month wait for delivery. In any case, you won't be charged until your order ships.

If dropping over $100 on a box of CDs doesn't feel right, the standard edition is also on sale for a substantial discount. You can pair it with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Original Soundtrack for $38.71.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Original Soundtrack $78 (was $112)

Tears of the Kingdom's approximately 11-hour soundtrack is spread across 344 tracks on nine discs. Each disc has unique The Legend of Zelda iconography. All of the discs are stored in a large digipak featuring Tears of the Kingdom key art. A booklet with the track lists is included, too.

See at Amazon The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Original Soundtrack Collector's Edition $114 (was $158)

The Collector's Edition comes with a Master Sword USB drive containing 15 songs with 5.1 surround sound audio. The Master Sword USB stick has a Sacred Pedestal cover with the Hylian Crest emblazoned across the front, so it doubles as a small display piece.

The digipak in the Collector's Edition has scenic artwork featuring the Sky Islands on the front and back. The digipak and an oversized box for the Master Sword USB are packaged in an exclusive case with the Ultrahand ability symbol on the front. The box matches the aesthetic of the game's Collector's Edition.

If you want a much larger Master Sword to display in your game room, Bandai Namco's Proplica Master Sword is in stock at Amazon for $186 (was $200). Yes, it's pricey, but it measures 42 inches and looks really cool. It also happens to have sound effects and rumble. The Master Sword replica can be displayed on the included stand with or without its decorative sheath.

Monster Hunter Wilds Gets New Patch Fixing Crashing Bug From Recent Update And More

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 05:31

With the arrival of new endgame content in a Monster Hunter Wilds update earlier this week, a pesky crashing bug also snuck into the game. But Capcom has stated that the issue has now been addressed with a hotfix. The patch notes also point to a couple of other problems getting rectified with version 1.021.01.00.

The crashing bug could be triggered by fainting or utilizing fast-travel to get back to camp. Capcom quickly became aware of the problem after releasing the major update for the action-RPG on August 12. That patch actually saw the company move up endgame content--such as tempered versions of monsters like Rey Dau in nine-star quests--from the still-planned Title Update 3 in September.

This new hotfix also ensures that the Wide-Range skill works as promised while playing online. In addition, the patch helps gunlancer players, since the weapon's "Focus Strike would sometimes not chain into the finishing attack." This should work properly now.

Xbox At A Sega-Like Fork In The Road And May Stop Making Consoles, Ex-PlayStation Boss Says

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 05:03

Former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden has said he believes Microsoft is at a "fork in the road" and is questioning whether the company will keep releasing consoles.

Speaking to GI.biz, Layden said there will certainly be more console generations to come, but Microsoft may not be part of that story. "Watching what Xbox has been doing recently, I do get Dreamcast flashbacks," he said, referencing how Sega got out of the console business after the Dreamcast and became a software company.

"I think Sega realized they just were better off being a software house. I think Microsoft is in that same sort of fork in the road. And I don't think their hardware offering is persuasive enough to make up the ground they've lost," he said.

Evidence Of A Diablo 4 Paladin Class May Have Just Leaked

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 03:53

Diablo 4's next class could be the long-awaited Paladin, if the name of an internal build recently spotted on Blizzard's servers is to be believed.

As originally spotted by Spanish site DiabloNext (via Icy Veins), an internal build for Diablo 4 named "2.5.Xpaladin.67961" allegedly made its way to Blizzard's servers, seemingly hinting that a Paladin class could be in the works.

The 2.5 numbers in the build name appear to be referring to patch 2.5, which would line up with Diablo 4 Season 11, since Season 9 is currently on patch 2.3. Though it seems unlikely Blizzard would release the Paladin before a major expansion (which would see the build number jump to the 3.0 designation), it's possible some part of a Paladin class might be included as part of the patch 2.5 update, even if the class isn't fully playable or is only included for testing purposes.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Blend The Campaign And Multiplayer Like Never Before - Report

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 03:49

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's campaign could include a brand-new element that brings together single-player and multiplayer. According to Insider Gaming, the game's final campaign mission will morph into a 32-player multiplayer experience that could take the form of some kind of "extraction-based" experience.

The report said a map called Avalon was initially set to be the newest Call of Duty: Warzone map, but it's now being used for the final campaign mission in Black Ops 7.

"It was said that the mission will be 'hardcore' and similar to other extraction shooters on the market; if you're killed and your squad is wiped, you will lose all your character's progress," the report said.

Borderlands 4 Co-Op Aims To Be As Seamless As Possible

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 03:39

Gearbox wants to make sure that Borderlands 4 is the smoothest co-op experience you've ever played, and to that end, it's bringing back many hallmark features of the series, as well as some new ones like teleporting to players, in order to polish it off.

In a recent post on Xbox Wire, the team divulged some details on how co-op will factor into the upcoming shooter. Co-op has always been central to the Borderlands games, as well as its spin-off, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, so it shouldn't be too surprising that the feature is back and seemingly better than ever in Borderlands 4.

For one, Borderlands 4 continues the franchise's streak of including split-screen co-op for up to two players, and allowing those players to then take their game online. This means that the game will be able to support a full online party of four players where each duo is sharing a screen.

Jurassic Park: Survival Looks Like It'll Bring Back the Suspense And Wonder Missing From The Films

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 03:21

There's been no shortage of Jurassic Park games over the years, but Jurassic Park: Survival is aiming to be an authentic return to the early days of the film franchise. In a new developer diary, Saber Interactive detailed how it worked alongside Universal Pictures to make its upcoming game look and feel like it was pulled straight out of the 1993 movie that kicked off the entire film franchise.

This approach involved going hands-on with several props from the movie--like dinosaur eggs and night-vision goggles--while accurately recreating locations from the Isla Nublar island. "We go through room by room in the game, level by level. We look at every possible resource--from archives from the film, production stills, production blueprints--to make sure that every prop is in the same place," Universal's John Melchior said in the video.

One other grisly piece of authenticity that the game has is that carnivorous dinosaurs are more than happy to turn the protagonist, Dr. Maya Joshi, into a quick meal. From the Dilophosaurus spitting venom to the T-Rex overpowering a player, players will have to stay on their toes when they run across these ancient predators.

How WoW's Legion Remix Event Is Taking Inspiration From Diablo

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 03:03

World of Warcraft's upcoming Legion Remix event is looking to make some big changes to one of the MMORPG's most popular expansions. In addition to letting players and their Artifact weapons become more powerful than ever before, Blizzard is taking some key inspirations from Diablo to add some new twists to the beloved expansion.

In the same vein as last year's Mists of Pandaria Remix event, Legion Remix is set to go live alongside WoW's 11.2.5 update later this year and will be a speedrun of sorts through 2016's Legion expansion. Players will create new "timerunner" characters and experience faster leveling times, increased reputation gains, and an accelerated weekly content lockout schedule to make progressing even faster.

There are, however, some big changes from last year's remix event, as recently outlined by Blizzard. Instead of Mists of Pandaria Remix's ever-upgrading cloak and gem system, Legion Remix will instead double down on Legion's expansion-defining Artifact weapons. Players will earn an upgrade currency that can be used to upgrade their Artifacts even further than in the original Legion, with new upgrade trees that will see players embracing one of five different damage types--Nature, Fel, Arcane, Storm, or Holy. They'll also be able to find jewelry slot items that can add additional ranks to Artifact traits, increasing the weapon's power even further. Thankfully, players will be able to freely respec their Artifact weapon traits at any time.

New Borderlands 4 Character Short Introduces Amon And His Vault Monster-Killing Arsenal

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 02:45

Borderlands 4 releases next month on PC and console, and as that date draws closer, developer Gearbox has been releasing a steady stream of videos highlighting the new Vault Hunters in the game. This week, it's time for the hulking warrior Amon to take the spotlight, but don't expect him to be all brawn and very few brains like Brick, the beefy brawler from the first Borderlands game.

Unlike his counterpart, Amon is a tragic warrior with a surprisingly tender side--and an appreciation for the best ice cream flavor, pPistachio--who was raised in a Vault monster-worshipping cult. After a Vault was opened and the living weapon inside of it killed Amon's entire cult, he dedicated his life to finding and slaying as many of the beasts as he could. You can see just how good he is at doing that in the video below.

As seen in the video, Amon is a one-man army in action thanks to the Forge Drones implanted throughout his body. This makes him an axe-ceptional warrior, as he can be customized to soak up damage with a defensive build or level the playing field with his offensive abilities.

Borderlands 4's Amon Is A More Complicated Vault Hunter To Play Than Past Options

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 02:30

Borderlands 4 is almost here, bringing four new playable Vault Hunters to the 16-year-old looter shooter franchise. Earlier this year, I went hands-on with Borderlands 4 and got a chance to play as the exosuit-wearing Rafa and fall in love with the delightfully dark Siren, Vex. As we approach the game's release, I spoke with lead character designer Nick Thurston to delve into the abilities, creation, and play style of Amon, a warrior-poet and Viking-inspired warrior who offers a little bit more gameplay complexity for fans who want that in a Borderlands game. Our conversation is detailed below, edited for both brevity and readability.

Like its predecessors, Borderlands 4 is all about stopping a world-ending threat and uncovering the location of a treasure-filled Vault on an alien planet as one of four Vault Hunters. Along the way, you'll run across a truly enormous number of unique firearms and fight through hordes of monstrous creatures, vengeful dictators, and murderous machines, all while befriending (or growing increasingly exasperated by) a network of quip-loving characters. Borderlands 4 adds several long-requested features that fans have wanted in the series as well, like mission replay and a seamless world.

Borderlands 4 is set to launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on September 12, with a Switch 2 version slated for release on October 3.

Fortnite's Creator-Made Squid Games Creations Go Live Today

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 02:00

Squid Games is taking over Fortnite, as Epic Games has announced that new creator-made games are available now to play. Like its Netflix source material, these are inspired by childhood games, but they're given a deadly twist as failure can result in elimination--at least it's better than what happens to the poor souls who lose a game in the popular TV series.

As you'd expect, there are also a few Fortnite elements present here, and some of the games revolve around lethal sumo rings, a deadly trap-filled gauntlet, and a recreation of the iconic Red Light, Green Light game.

One of the new modes teased was Squid Games: Island Escape. Now available, Island Escape revolves around players outrunning the Squid Games Guards and extracting themselves. Players assuming the role of Squid Games Contestants will compete in five minigames, and succeeding will unlock powerful loot to help them in their escape attempt. The catch here is that Guards will have several advantages as they chase down players, and the fewer survivors there are when they reach the boat, the bigger the payoff will be for all remaining players.

Co-Op Adventure Game Lego Voyagers Gets A September Release Date

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 01:27

Back in June, Lego Builder's Journey developer revealed its next game utilizing the iconic plastic bricks, Lego Voyagers. This time around the game is a co-op adventure game where you play as two, single-stud bricks heading off on a journey about "friendship and play." Now, as revealed in a trailer released by publisher Annapurna Interactive, a release date has been set in stone.

You'll be able to pick up Lego Voyagers in a month's time on September 15, when it will be launching on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and the original Nintendo Switch. The new trailer, which you can check out below, offers up a good look at what you can expect from the upcoming game. It looks like you can expect some light puzzle elements, which of course includes building things--one scene shows one player brick holding down a set of bricks while the other builds a catapult to get across a ravine.

The whole goal for these two sentient Lego bricks is to rescue an abandoned spaceship, and it looks like they'll be traveling by boat and train as they slowly make their way to achieve that dream. You'll be able to play the game in both local and online co-op, and if you own a copy of the game, you'll be able to invite a friend to play the whole game for free alongside you with the Friend's Pass. If you're at Gamescom later this month, you'll also be able to try out a demo of the game.

Battlefield 6 Beta Has A Class-Locked Weapon Playlist, But It's Hidden And Limited

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 01:14

The Battlefield 6 open beta is back up and running for its second and final weekend, and while it does indeed afford players the ability to dabble in a playlist with class-locked weapons, it's not immediately obvious. There is just one "closed" weapon playlist in the open beta currently, and it's not visible when you boot up the game. You need to scroll over to the right to find it.

The playlist is called "Closed Weapon All-Out Warfare." The description reads, "Experience the same large-scale battle of Conquest or Breakthrough with the addition of class-locked weapons." As that description alludes to, this playlist does not feature the new mode for Weekend 2, Rush.

The closed weapon setup will feel familiar to people who played older Battlefield games, where weapons are locked to specific classes instead of being available to all players. Battlefield 2042 did away with this, allowing people to freely pick and choose the weapons they wanted, irrespective of their class, as part of the controversial Specialist setup. Some portion of the audience didn't enjoy this, while others embraced this expanded freedom.

David Hayter Has Done A 180 On Metal Gear Solid 5

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 01:11

Metal Gear Solid V will be turning 10 in September, but it still stirs up conversation--especially about the fallout between Konami, Hideo Kojima, and longtime Snake voice actor David Hayter. When Hayter was replaced by actor Kiefer Sutherland for MGS5, fans were stunned, and Hayter himself took it hard. Back in 2015, he said playing the game would feel like "60 hours of humiliation."

But it seems that time away from things has changed his mind. Speaking to PC Gamer ahead of the Metal Gear Solid Delta release, Hayter said he finally gave the game a shot. "I didn't want to play the game because I figured it would hurt my feelings," he said. "Then, you know, 10 years went by, and I was like, 'To hell with my feelings. What do I care?" As a veteran screenwriter, he added, "I get fired for a living...I'm not a child."

Once he played it, Hayter was surprised by how much he enjoyed it. "I was like, 'Stop being a baby and play the game.' So I played it. It's amazing." He admitted it gave him a new perspective on fans who once told him MGS5 was their favorite. "I'd be like, 'What the hell, dude? Thanks. You wanna give me a paper cut as well? Maybe pour some lemon juice on it?' And then I played it and I'm like, 'I think this is my favorite gameplay of the series.'"

WNBA Players And Teams Coming To NBA 2K26's MyTeam Mode

Game News - Fri, 08/15/2025 - 01:00

One of the most popular game modes in the NBA 2K franchise is MyTeam--2K's version of EA's Ultimate Team--in which players can build their own super squads using player cards purchased in packs or earned through in-game challenges. NBA 2K26 is looking to improve on the MyTeam experience with a groundbreaking addition, as the players and teams of the WNBA will be available in the mode for the first time ever.

WNBA players will be "fully integrated" into MyTeam in this year's NBA 2K game, which will allow players to mix and match current and legendary WNBA players with players from the NBA. Attributes and Badges will work the same for all players regardless of gender, according to the official announcements, in an effort to ensure a "balanced, consistent gameplay experience no matter who is on the court."

Angel Reese, appearing on the Oklahoma City Thunder in NBA 2K26's MyTeam mode.

WNBA team jerseys and court floors will also be added for players to unlock in the game mode--though the MyTeam versions of the WNBA court floors will have an NBA-regulation three-point line. New commentary has been recorded to reflect the new pool of MyTeam players, with featured voices including Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, and Stan Van Gundy.
