Stephen A. Smith Knows Exactly Who Would Win In A Stuart Little Vs. Ratatouille Fight

Game News - Thu, 02/08/2024 - 01:20

Since the dawn of time, humanity has long debated just who would come out on top in a clash of the rodent titans. Could Stuart Little and his skateboarding skills topple Remy in a fight when he's not piloting a rookie chef Jaeger? This is a battle for the ages and one that ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith has weighed in on, as the sports commentator and Pokemon starter expert reckons that Stuart Little's days would be numbered if he took on Remy outside of a kitchen.

Stephen A Smith answers who wins in a street fight between Ratatouille and Stuart Little.
“Stuart Little lived in the confines of a nice habit, posh, affluent lifestyle, he ain’t ever had to worry about some cheese. Ratatouille? He had it rough!” pic.twitter.com/epr3y0Yg4w

"He's Stuart Little. He lived in the confines of a nice habit. Posh, affluent lifestyle. Comfort, meals, he's never had to worry about some cheese, he's fine," Smith said. "Ratatouille? He had it rough! He's a rough rider! Scratch and claw! He's like one of those rats in the New York subways!

As Smith reasoned, Remy would have a size and ferocity advantage on Stuart Little, as well as experience from a hard life on the streets. The math checks out, and if Disney could collaborate with Sony to create a crossover film, the end result could be a cinematic tussle for the ages. While you probably won't be seeing these two furry icons duke it out on the big screen in the future--or, ever--the next best thing is headed to theaters soon.

Enshrouded Is Like Multiplayer Skyrim--And Makes My Group Feel Like The Fellowship Of The Ring

Game News - Thu, 02/08/2024 - 01:18

One of the first things Enshrouded instructed me and my friends to do was delve into the evil blue fog that infests its lowland areas, seek out a huge, fungus-covered, axe-wielding boss, and murder him.

After that, we built grapple hooks to swing over a destroyed bridge, and within the next hour, we crafted wingsuits from goat skins. We trekked back out into the world, discovered a huge, ancient tower, and scaled it. From its height, we spotted a destroyed monastery in the distance, so we leaped off and flew down, forming a fleet of medieval peasant base-jumpers, to see what was there. A chapel stood at one end, its roof crumbling to allow sunlight to pass through. We found someone kneeling at the altar--a glowing green skeleton knight, praying for who knows what--and we immediately wrecked his shit.

My experience with Enshrouded, since it launched in early access, has been full of moments like this, where my group and I set out into the unknown and discover an underground cave hiding strange ruins or a tower that requires figuring out environmental puzzles to scale it. We've slipped into that evil fog, the Shroud, to fight through strange, gross creatures and destroy tentacle-covered fungal growths to clear the foul miasma. We've discovered hammers that glow with intrinsic flame and scrolls that summon magic meteors to rain down on our enemies.

Halo Season 2 Is Shifting Tone, But What Does That Mean?

Game News - Thu, 02/08/2024 - 01:00

The first season of Halo was interesting, if only because it existed. After being in the works for years and initially produced as a Showtime series, the live-action adaptation of Halo moved to Paramount+, instantly becoming one of the most recognizable titles on the streaming service. In the end, though, the show might not have told the story it wanted to originally.

The first season of Halo wound up with a decent score of 61 on GameSpot sister site Metacritic, with a much decidedly reaction score from audiences who ultimately didn't love the story presented. With that said, the team behind Halo has seemingly made a concerted effort to right the ship, shifting the series' tone to hopefully make more sense with the material they're adapting.

For Pablo Schreiber, who plays main character Master Chief in the series, the shift is one he thinks longtime fans of Halo will appreciate.

New WWE 2K24 Gamplay Trailer Shows Off More Specialty Matches

Game News - Wed, 02/07/2024 - 13:52

WWE 2K24 has a new gameplay trailer titled "Legacy," which shows off more of the scope of the upcoming game than any of its trailers so far. There's a lot of focus on the Showcase of the Immortals, a mode designed to celebrate 40 years of WrestleMania, and the stars who have been a part of it.

The trailer gives us a look at a handful of different match types, including the previously showcased Ambulance Match, the brand-new Casket Match, and an updated look at Backstage Brawls. We also get a sneak peek at the Special Guest Referee Match, and plenty of footage from various moments that will be playable through the Showcase of the Immortals.

As can be expected, the trailer features a heap of notable WWE Superstars, especially in the segment focused on Showcase of the Immortals. The segment shows a number of WrestleMania's biggest names, including Hulk Hogan, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Rhea Ripley, The Ultimate Warrior, Charlotte Flair, John Cena, Triple H, and The Undertaker. Notably, the trailer also reveals an updated cover for the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition of WWE 2K24 that omits Brock Lesnar. GameSpot has reached out to 2K to clarify whether or not Lesnar will still feature in the game.
