Accordion Solitaire

New Releases - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 17:00
Accordion Solitaire is a more difficult, more strategic variation of solitaire. Starting with a shuffled deck, you will draw cards and make decisions about how to stack them based on matching ranks and suits. But there are strict rules about when cards can be stacked. The goal of the game is to begin with one deck of cards, and end up with one stack of cards. It will be trickier than you might think!

I Can't Wait To Reloot African Artifacts From Western Museums

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 05:40

Relooted has been a big surprise for me. Trailers for the game seemed to advertise the sidescroller as a parkour-driven platformer game, but after playing it, I realized that it's first and foremost a heist game. While nabbing your prize and skillfully maneuvering through obstacles to reach the goal as fast as possible is a core part of the gameplay loop, the far more important component is the actual planning and setup stage that occurs beforehand, where you take on the role of a crew's mastermind and plan out every step of the heist.

Set at the end of the 21st century, Relooted sees you play as Nomali, who puts her intelligence and acrobatic prowess to good use when she gets roped into heading up a crew of everyday citizens turned thieves. The crew plans on breaking into museums and mansions across the West to steal back the African artifacts locked away in vaults. Not for personal gain, of course, but to return them to where they rightfully belong.

Each mission begins with you mapping out the target, identifying which doors will lock when the alarms sound, which windows you can break through, where a zipline can be placed, and other aspects of the heist. During this planning stage, you can move certain objects too, like tables that can be placed to keep a door from fully closing, or put into a spot to act as a vault to reach otherwise unreachable ledges. Once you take the artifact, the alarms will sound and you'll have only a few seconds to make your getaway. Your job is to prepare enough so that the parkour challenge in front of you is quick and doable, and most missions don't have a singular solution.

Diablo 4 Finally Gets Cheap Microtransactions, But Players Aren't Impressed

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 04:56

Diablo 4 recently received new cosmetic bundles as part of the launch of Season 9, and while they are much cheaper than the usual skins and cosmetics offered in the in-game shop for Blizzard's ARPG, players don't seem too impressed with the value.

Each class has received a new cosmetic bundle labeled in the in-game shop as an "Essentials Pack." These cosmetic packs contain six skins for that specific class for only 500 Platinum, which roughly equates to $5. That makes these class bundles some of the most affordable microtransactions offered in Diablo 4 to date, as most of the game's cosmetic bundles (like its limited-time Berserk cosmetics) often cost $25 or more.

Players on places like Reddit, however, aren't too impressed at the value of six skins for $5, as the outfits look mundane when compared to Diablo 4's pricier cosmetics. Some on the Diablo 4 subreddit point out that the skins look to be modified or reskinned versions of armor that already exists in-game for free, though some sets come with a unique helmet or other changes. One player in the comments points out that they already own some pieces of these bundles despite having never bought any cosmetics, instead having acquired them through playing the game and dismantling items to acquire the transmog. For those who have already acquired some of the cosmetics in the bundles just by playing the game, the bundle price decreases slightly.

Rocket League Turns 10 Years Old, Showing That The Wheels Of Time Never Stop Spinning

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 04:39

Today marks exactly a decade since Rocket League originally launched on PC and PS4--including as part of PS Plus back on July 7, 2015. The "soccar" game is now so old, 10 to be exact, that people probably forget it's actually a sequel to 2008's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Not only that, but Rocket League was one of the first cross-platform multiplayer titles at the time, too.

Developer Psyonix is celebrating the birthday milestone for Rocket League throughout Season 19 (which runs through September 17). For example, there are 10 new player anthems now available in the shop from Monstercat, such as "Love U Need U" from Slushii and "Rock It" from Tokyo Machine. The past few weeks have also seen a 10th-anniversary variation on DFH Stadium, along with celebratory log-in rewards. The studio is also promising a Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5 LTE that's scheduled to start August 5.

A lot has happened in the past decade for Rocket League. Within a month of launching in 2015, the game passed over 5 million downloads. Back then, Rocket League cost $20 to purchase, but it went free-to-play in Summer 2020. This happened roughly a year after Fortnite maker Epic Games acquired Psyonix in May 2019. Psyonix also released Rocket Racing in 2023 as part of Fortnite, with the promise Rocket League wouldn't be phased out.

Mega Man Is Still One Of Capcom's "Most Important Franchises," Company Says

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 03:28

The Mega Man franchise has largely been dormant since 2018 when Mega Man 11 was released. Aside from the title character's guest appearances in Monster Hunter: World and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there haven't been many Mega Man sightings since. However, Capcom recently addressed Mega Man's potential future and stated that the franchise remains "important" to the company.

During a recent shareholder Q&A (via Noisy Pixel), Capcom was asked about plans for Mega Man, and a company spokesperson replied, "The Mega Man series is one of our most important IPs, and we are continuously considering ways to develop it further. However, we do not have any additional information we can share at this time." Capcom's representative went on to note that there is "a particularly high volume of inquiries" about Mega Man from overseas markets without elaborating any further.

The company's latest remarks are very similar to a Mega Man update from 2024, where Capcom noted that it is "considering how to create games for it on an ongoing basis." While the classic games in the series are readily available online, there's been no word about any further sequels.

Lenovo Legion Go S With 1TB SSD & 32GB RAM Gets Massive Black Friday In July Deal

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 03:28
See at Best Buy

Handheld gaming has evolved dramatically over the last couple of years, and if you're looking for a travel buddy that's compatible with your gaming libraries, the recently released Lenovo Legion Go S 1TB edition is on sale for a massive $230 discount that drops the price to only $500 (was $730). This is one of the marquee deals in Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale, which kicked off July 7 and runs until July 12. Considering this is the first discount we've seen on the Legion Go S--and it's such a substantial discount--we wouldn't be surprised if Best Buy runs out of units before the deal expires.

Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale is competing with Amazon Prime Day 2025 (July 8-11). Along with the $230 discount on the Legion Go S, you can save $200 on the original Legion Go Windows handheld.

Lenovo Legion Go S 1TB (2025 Model) $500 (was $730)

The Lenovo Legion Go S has an 8-inch 120Hz Lenovo PureSight display and an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chip with Radeon graphics. As mentioned, this is the upgraded model with 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. With the deal, you're paying $150 less than you'd spend on the $650 model with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD.

What sets the Legion Go S apart from the competition is its excellent ergonomics, making it more comfortable to use for extended periods compared to alternatives like the Steam Deck or Asus ROG Ally. It's also more comfortable--though less powerful--than the original Lenovo Legion Go 8.8-inch handheld, which is on sale for $550 (was $750).

It's worth emphasizing that this edition of the Legion Go S uses Windows 11 as its operating system. Windows supports thousands of games across Steam, Xbox Game Pass, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and more, but navigating through the menus can be a chore compared to the current standard for portable gaming OSes, SteamOS. A SteamOS version of the Legion Go S is also available, though it's not part of the sale.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 Review - You Win Some, Lose Some

Games Reviews - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 03:00

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 was a phenomenal package that made lifelong fans like myself fall in love with its quarter pipes and rails all over again. It was a wonderful tribute to the 1999 and 2000 originals, but there was one big bugaboo that left me and other fans wanting: the exclusion of the series' third entry. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 felt missing from the first remake, stripped from the games it most closely resembles. And while that problem may seem solved with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, from the outside, developer Iron Galaxy has made a number of decisions that are likely to leave fans of the originals disappointed, even though this second remake is still an excellent Tony Hawk game.

The original three games fit together perfectly, with each subsequent game adding new mechanics that made the series' trick system feel complete by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. Each game was also structured in the same way, giving players two-minute skate sessions to complete as many goals as they could, performing tricks and earning high scores, before moving on to the next two-minute session. It's a format that works well, so much so that you'll have a hard time stopping yourself from going for one more run.

However, it's not how Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 was structured, with the fourth game instead opting for freely roamable levels that mission-giving characters called home. Time limits only came with specific challenges when the likes of pro skater Geoff Rowley asked you to steal police officers' hats or a college student pleaded with you to take revenge on the local frat boys. In THPS 3+4, the levels from 4 have been retrofitted to behave and play like levels from the first three games. That means fewer goals per level, no mission-givers, and a time limit to top things off.

Target Circle Week Has The Perfect Lego Deal For Disney Adults

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 02:42
See at Target

Lego Ideas: Magic of Disney is on sale for only $70 (was $100) at Target as part of the retailer's Circle Week Lego sale. Exclusive to Target and the Lego Store, Magic of Disney is a 1,103-piece diorama that brings together characters and scenes from over 90 years of Disney animated films. You need to sign up for a free Target Circle membership to purchase this deal, which is a new all-time low for the charming display model geared toward adults.

The Magic of Disney is the only Lego set still in production featuring a sizable Mickey Mouse character build that's meant for adult fans. Other Lego sets featuring Mickey are playsets designed for children. Magic of Disney is one of two Lego sets celebrating the history of Disney animation discounted to its all-time best price. You can also get the Walt Disney Tribute Camera for $67.19 (was $100) at multiple major retailers, including Amazon, which is featuring the set in its early Prime Day 2025 sale.

Magic of Disney Lego Set (1,103 Pieces) $70 (was $100)

You can't talk about Disney "magic" without Mickey Mouse, so it's fitting that the studio's mascot is the centerpiece of the model. The buildable figure is based on Mickey's appearance in The Sorcerer's Apprentice, one of the timeless shorts in the groundbreaking 1940 musical anthology Fantasia. In reference to one of the most memorable scenes, Sorcerer Mickey is joined by the Magic Brooms armed with buckets of water.

The buildable Mickey figure makes up a big chunk of the set's 1,103 pieces, but this diorama features a several charming vignettes from animated Disney films through the ages. Pulled from the classics, there's Simba from the Lion King surverying the kingdom from Pride Rock, Geppetto from Pinocchio floating on a raft, Belle from Beauty and the Beast next to glass display case for the rose, and Sebastian and Flounder from Little Mermaid splashing happily in the sea.

The Magic of Disney also includes scenes and characters from animated films from the 21st century, including Lilo surfing in Lilo & Stitch, and Bruno next to a small model of the Madrigal House from Encanto.

The set comes with four minifigures: Belle, Lilo, Geppetto, and Bruno. You'll also get Lego animal figures of Simba, Flounder, and Sebastian.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Manga Prequel Announced, Preorders Live Now

Game News - Tue, 07/08/2025 - 02:40
See at Amazon

Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough start, but following constant fine-tuning, the game became one of the biggest success stories of developer CD Projekt Red's history. What also helped was the debut of a tie-in anime series called Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which led to renewed interest in the game, and now, it's getting a prequel called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness. Priced at $15, this manga paperback will be released on February 24, and it shines a light on everyone's favorite foul-mouthed gremlin from the show, Rebecca.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Madness $15 | Releases February 24, 2026

This manga paperback explores the backstory of Rebecca and her big brother Pilar as they pursue the dream of becoming a legendary Edgerunner like their father. When a mysterious man appears before them, they find their lives changed forever as they rush through Night City to prove themselves in this deadly neon-soaked metropolis.

The story itself was written by Edgerunners screenwriter Bartosz Sztybor, and it was illustrated by Japanese creator Asano of BNA: Brand New Animal anime fame. That anime was produced by Trigger, the same studio behind Edgerunners and its upcoming second season, so this project has a lot of pedigree behind it.

See at Amazon Cyberpunk 2077 graphic novels and booksCyberpunk 2077 fans can check out these books and graphic novels.

It's going to be a while before Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness is available, but fortunately, there are numerous other tie-in books to grab right now. Graphic novels like Cyberpunk 2077: Big City Dreams, Cyberpunk 2077: Your Voice, and Cyberpunk 2077: You Have My Word flesh out Night City with new characters and adventures, and book fans can pick up novels like the first Cyberpunk 2077 novel, No Coincidence, for a thrilling dive into cyber-mystery.

We'd also recommend the Cyberpunk 2077: Library Edition, a deluxe hardcover collection of three stories that also has a cover gallery, an expanded sketchbook section, and more extras. The first volume of the Cyberpunk 2077 Omnibus also launched not too long ago, and this is a collection of Cyberpunk stories like Trauma Team, You Have My Word, and Blackout.

From here, you can purchase the Matrix Contract and start getting your money's worth out of it in Mecha Break. However, the game doesn't do a great job of explaining exactly what comes with the Battle Pass, so we're here to break everything down for you.

How to buy the Matrix Contract in Mecha BreakThe Matrix Contract screen in Mecha Break

For starters, you can currently purchase the Matrix Contract for $12.99. But this is a discounted price for the launch of the game, and its true price is $21.65. It's unclear when the 40% discount offer will disappear, but if you wish to buy the Matrix Contract, you'll want to pull the trigger sooner rather than later.
