Tony Hawk Is To Blame (Or Credit) For 3+4's Controversial Soundtrack Changes
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 features a mixed soundtrack, as not every song from the original games have made it into the upcoming remaster. While there are several classics like Motorhead's "Ace of Spades" and CKY's "96 Quite Bitter Beings" on the playlist, other iconic tracks have been cut and replaced with a selection of curated songs that Tony Hawk says he personally chose for the game.
"It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 original soundtrack," Hawk wrote on Instagram. "I'm hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride. More to come--both old and new."
Some of the new tracks here include "Real Thing" by Turnstile, "End It" by New Wage Slavery, and "Collard Greens" by Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar. This isn't the only omission from the remasters, as when it was first announced, it looked like former Jackass star Bam Margera had been cut from the roster, although Hawk has since claimed (via VGC) that he demanded the controversial skateboarder be included in the game.

Last year, Palworld established itself by doing things that Nintendo would never do with Pokemon, including arming pals with lethal weapons. Now, Palworld developer Pocketpair has revisited its 2024 April Fool's Day joke with a new look at Palworld: More Than Just Pals, which lets players romantically court pals and even date them. And what started out as a joke could be real this time.
Even if this new update is just a continuation of the original joke, some of the Pocketpair devs clearly put a a lot of work into this one. Palworld: More Than Just Pals has a page on Steam with multiple screenshots, and a detailed breakdown of some the characters that the players can supposedly pursue. Most of the romantic options are for pals, but there's one adult, Nurse Saya, that players can also flirt with. Most of the main characters are showcased in the announcement trailer that was created for the game and published a year ago.
The newly released second trailer continues the flirtations as Nurse Saya and the pals practically throw themselves at the players-character.

On PC, Monster hunter Wilds hit 1.1 million concurrent players during launch day, making it a huge success. According to an analyst, the PC version is outselling the console versions combined.

Doom: The Dark Ages will be available on PC through Battle.net, Blizzard has announced, making id Software's upcoming shooter only the second non-Activision Blizzard title to be offered on Blizzard's platform.
Buying Doom: The Dark Ages on Battle.net doesn't mean being locked into Blizzard's digital ecosystem. Instead, buying the game on Battle.net and linking an Xbox account also grants access to the game on Xbox consoles and the Xbox app for Windows PCs at no extra cost, an extension of Xbox's "Play Anywhere" initiative where buying certain games on Xbox or PC grants access to both the console and PC versions.
Battle.net was once exclusively home to Blizzard's own franchises like World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo. In 2017, Bungie's Destiny 2 became the first non-Blizzard (but still Activision-published) game to be offered on Battle.net, followed by other Activision titles like yearly installments of Call of Duty and even Crash Bandicoot 4 in 2020. Destiny 2, meanwhile, would later be removed from Battle.net in 2020, as it's no longer published by Activision.
Continue Reading at GameSpotDoom: The Dark Ages Looks Like A Trip To Hell Worth Taking
The slogan “Stand and Fight” has been plastered all over Doom: The Dark Ages marketing: a catchphrase that feels at odds with the modern Doom series. Doom 2016 was applauded for its fast gameplay and Doom: Eternal took that one step further with the Meat Hook that let you whip around the battlefield at breakneck speeds. The movement--for many--is what makes Doom, Doom. So to see Doom: The Dark Ages’ encourage players to hold their ground and fight seemed antithetical to that finely tuned formula. At least, that’s what I thought. After three hours of hands-on time with id Software’s next shooter, it seems like Doom: The Dark Ages has found a hypnotic balance between its iconic fast-paced gameplay and the blow-for-blow combat that Dark Ages is bringing to the mix.
Doom: The Dark Ages is a prequel to Doom 2016. The forces of hell are invading a realm heavily inspired by the medieval era, and the Doom Slayer is summoned to do what he does best: Rip and tear through demons. Although this may sound like standard fare for a Doom game, The Dark Ages appears to be taking its story a bit more seriously. It’s still a campy, somewhat self-aware, bloodsoaked romp through demon guts, but the team wanted to use the fantasy setting to its full potential. According to game director Hugo Martin, “When you think of fantasy, and Lord of the Rings, you think huge… There’s a grandness, an epicness to fantasy that people expect.” Despite the shift to fantasy, some of Doom: The Dark Ages’ biggest narrative inspirations for its story were action films like Roadhouse, Die Hard, and First Blood, when it comes to keeping the story engaging throughout its runtime.
While I loved Doom 2016’s minimal approach to storytelling, I’m curious to see what id Software does with Dark Age’s setting. The arenas, enemies, characters, and weapons have all received a medieval makeover that fits the setting and series perfectly. Gothic castles loom over battlefields, enemies use a mix of medieval weaponry and sci-fi firearms, characters are donned in plated armor, and macabre weapons like the Pulverizer grind up skulls and fire out deadly bone shards. It’s a match made in heaven, or rather, hell. That said, Doom: Eternal’s greater emphasis on story felt superfluous. There were some clever callbacks to previous games and fun moments, but when it comes to Doom, all I want to do is shoot, shred, and eviscerate demons. Thankfully, The Dark Ages has plenty of that.

Depending on the gameplay options chosen, Assassin's Creed Shadows can be a challenging game, but Ubisoft is considering turning the difficulty up to 11 in the future. Amidst community feedback and patches, Ubisoft says it is "actively looking at" making a higher difficulty setting for fans who want to put their skills to the ultimate test.
Speaking to GamesRadar, Assassin's Creed Shadows creative director Jonathon Dumont said that the developers are thinking about making "a tougher setting for difficulty for some of our players," while also monitoring what people have to say about the game.
"Obviously, we can't do everything, but there are things that we're going to be actioning on, and just for the next updates, there are quite a bit of bug fixes and little feature enhancement stuff that is coming in," Dumont said. "I can't just make a list. There's quite a bit of it. So the team is always working to improve the game, and hopefully, people will be able to see the difference when they're playing Shadows in the upcoming months."

Actor Jason Momoa stars in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie, which is based on the hugely popular video game. But Momoa himself doesn't allow his son to play video games, or even have a phone.
"We don't have a TV. My son doesn't have phone. He's 16 and doesn't have a phone," when asked if his children play video games. "We're different, dude. Because when he's 18 he's gonna have a phone and it'll be out of the house and he can explore the world after that."
Why no phones or video games? "Because I just want them to use their creativity in a different way. So, we do other things. These [phones] are new to the world. Everyone was doing just fine [before phones]. We watch movies together, and that's beautiful."
Continue Reading at GameSpotGTA 6 Release Date Remaining A Mystery Could Be On Purpose
One of the biggest unanswered questions in all of gaming for 2025 is when GTA VI will be released. Take-Two and developer Rockstar Games have yet to announce a date, and that could be part of the plan.
Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick told Bloomberg TV's Wall St. Week that while some of its competitors may announce release dates or windows years into the future, that's not what Take-Two will usually do. When asked directly why Take-Two is being so secretive about GTA 6's release date, Zelnick said the publisher likes to hold back marketing materials until "relatively" close to launch.
"The anticipation for [GTA 6] may be the greatest anticipation I've ever seen for an entertainment property, and I've been around the block a few times. And I've been in every entertainment business there is," he said. "We want to maintain the anticipation and the excitement. We have competitors who will describe their release schedule for years in advance. We've found the better thing to do is to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window in order to create that excitement, and balance the excitement with unmet expectation. We don't always get it right. But that's what we're trying to do."

Continue Reading at GameSpotFull InZoi Donuts List And What They Do
While InZoi does many things that The Sims does not, some aspects of Krafton's new Early Access life sim are very similar to features we've seen The Sims 4. One of these is InZoi's Ambitions system, which is essentially identical to The Sims' Aspirations. You choose an ambition, like becoming an expert artist, and then you'll have to complete a series of related tasks that award a currency that will allow you to buy upgrades. But while these systems look the same, in execution they actually function very differently. Here's what to know about InZoi Donuts and hoe to get more of them.
Table of Contents [hide]InZoi donuts explainedIf you've spent time with The Sims 4 lately, InZoi's Ambitions will be very familiar. When you're creating your Zois, you pick an Ambition for each of them, and each Ambition includes three waves of tasks. If you pick the Pro Musician Ambition, you'll start by buying an instrument and playing it three times; wave two requires you to play drums ten times, and play any instrument while feeling sentimental; and wave three requires you to max out your instrument skill (all instruments fall under this one skill) and play guitar 20 times.
Each wave of tasks that you complete will award you with NyanCoins, with each successive wave of tasks giving more than the previous wave. And then you'll spend those NyanCoins on donuts, which you can purchase from the "Meow Coins" menu on your Zoi card. But these aren't just any donuts--these donuts come with a timed buff.
Continue Reading at GameSpotInZoi Karma Explained And How To Change Your Karma
As pleasant as it might be for us if the world were exclusively full of nice people, that's not necessarily the right formula for an entertaining life sim video game. If all the characters in InZoi only gave each other compliments, it would get boring immediately--fortunately, that's not what InZoi is like at all. Here's a full explainer of how InZoi karma works.
Table of Contents [hide]InZoi karma explainedIn InZoi, you can be a good Zoi or a bad Zoi, and your behavior is reflected by your karma level. InZoi's karma is not something that has a direct parallel in The Sims 4--the closest mechanic would be its reputation system, but that's based on what other characters think of you, and this karma system is more like the game's judgment of your behavior.
With that being the case, it's best to think of InZoi's karma as akin to a dark side/light side meter in a Star Wars game, or the renegade/paragon system from Mass Effect. The more your karma slides one way or the other, the more options you'll have to do things that correspond with your alignment. If you have bad karma, you'll unlock new methods for being a jerk, like picking fights and shoving people to the ground for no reason. You'll even be able to start committing crimes, like robbing ATMs. You can go to jail for that kind of thing, though, so be careful.
Continue Reading at GameSpotHow To Have A Baby In InZoi
One of the more interesting aspects of any life sim for me is always going to be the generational gameplay. While the game worlds of InZoi and The Sims are frozen in time, the families that dwell in them are not. They live, work, have kids, and die, just like we do. It's a fun and not-so-serious way to reflect on some potentially very heavy subjects. But first things first: you can't have generational gameplay until you start making some babies. And in InZoi, making babies is slightly less straightforward than it is in real life.
As it is in The Sims, your Zois cannot get pregnant in InZoi simply by having sex. Your Zoi can participate in all the carnal activities they can convince other Zois to do with them, but they're just not going to get pregnant by accident. To try to get pregnant, your Zois will first have to get married and move in together. It's obviously no minor task, of course, to attract a life mate, but we can help with that with Inzoi romance guide, which covers flirting, dating, getting married, and, of course, getting naked.
How to have a baby in InZoiOnly female Zois can become pregnant, and there currently aren't any options for adoption, surrogacy, or any other alternative methods. But it's likely some or all of that will be added at some later time.

Pac-Man Spin-Off Joins Wild Shared Timeline With Ace Combat And Galaga
Bandai Namco has updated the United Galaxy Space Force timeline for the first time since 2014 with the inclusion of Shadow Labyrinth, a dark platformer Pac-Man spin-off. It's a shared universe that includes Bandai Namco's other franchises like Ace Combat, Dig Dug, and Galaga.

Continue Reading at GameSpotNew Nintendo Switch 2 Report Raises Questions On When Preorders Will Go Live
A new report is raising more questions about when Nintendo Switch 2 preorders will go live at major retailers, with two conflicting dates now circulating.
The report comes from Insider Gaming, which states it has seen internal emails and documents from a large US retailer confirming the Switch 2 will release in June (as has been heavily rumored). However, the documents also state preorders for Switch 2 will go live on April 9, a week after a Switch 2-focused Nintendo Direct on April 2 that will offer more details about the console and, presumably, its release date and launch games.
According to the retailer documents, the Nintendo Direct will state preorders will be "coming soon" and reveal a countdown clock that will end on April 9. This specific retailer, which Insider Gaming did not reveal, will also reportedly include an "exclusive collectible coin" for those who preorder the console. The retailer anticipates to sell out of its Switch 2 allotment on the first day due to a "limited unit allocation" from Nintendo, according to Insider Gaming.

Netflix's top gaming boss, Alain Tascan, has said he questions whether or not young people these days even care about consoles. Speaking at an event at GDC 2025 recently, Tascan said he personally enjoys console gaming, but he's not sure if it's where gaming is headed in the future. Of course, Tascan would say this, as his company, Netflix Games, does not make consoles and is instead intent on pushing people toward streaming and subscription services.
"[When it comes to] console, we started to look at the future where the platform is agnostic," he said, as reported by The Game Business. "Look at the younger generation. Are eight-year-olds and 10-year-olds dreaming of owning a PlayStation 6? I am not sure. They are wanting to interact with any digital screen, whatever it is, wherever it is, even in the car. With console you're thinking about high definition, you're thinking about the controller […] If we look at this older model, I think it will restrain us."
Before this Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has said for years that Microsoft is pushing beyond consoles into places like streaming and mobile to help reach a bigger audience. The audience for console gaming is only so large, Spencer and others have said. For what it's worth, Spencer has also said consoles will absolutely be a part of Microsoft's future in gaming.
