Oblivion Remastered Messes Up A Good Joke
Remastering a game the size of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is no small task, so it's probably not surprising that some small details get lost in the process, but players have spotted one bungled texture that ruins an entire running joke.
As spotted on the Oblivion subreddit, via PC Gamer, the sign for Lelles' Quality Merchandise in Anvil no longer sports its signature hasty spelling correction. In the original game, the sign misspells the shop's name as "Lelles' Quality Mercandise," and has the missing "h" haphazardly balancing above its spot in the word. In the remaster? The added "h" is nowhere to be seen.
Genuinely heartbroken by this vvby u/Xeredek in oblivion
While the error is incredibly minor in the scheme of things, the small detail is a part of store owner Norbert Lelles' character, with his lack of smarts being pointed out by other NPCs, and only becoming more obvious in a quest where the player-character is asked to protect his store from robbers. The sign and its hasty correction are even referenced in various NPC dialogues around Anvil.

As one of the developers who worked on the original Call of Duty back in the early 2000s, Chance Glasco wonders if the behemoth FPS franchise has run out of ideas. A series veteran and one of the original members of Infinity Ward, Glasco says he doesn't play much CoD anymore--though he does enjoy a bit of Warzone.
In an interview with Tulsa, Oklahoma's News 9, Glasco shares his experience as one of the 23 employees who left Medal of Honor developer 2015, Inc. for newly established Infinity Ward to work on Call of Duty. "We knew we could make a really good game," Glasco said. "Activision gave us the freedom to do things we couldn’t on Medal of Honor, but it was still a new franchise."
Call of Duty wasn't an instant hit when it released in 2003. Instead, it took time for word to spread. "It didn't have a big spike in sales right away," Glasco recalls. "It just climbed gradually as word got out. Multiplayer really hooked people, and over time, it became huge."

The next WoW Remix event is coming, and this time it's fan-favorite expansion Legion in the spotlight. The upcoming Legion Remix event had already been teased by Blizzard, but it was officially announced at the Evolving Azeroth panel at PAX East over the weekend.
World of Warcraft associate game director Jeremy Feasel officially announced the new Remix event, as picked up by Wowhead, and shared some insight into the ongoing process of remixing Legion.
"Legion has a lot of content--way more content than Mists of Pandaria--and it has a huge amount of different systems," he reminded fans. "The team is currently hard at work delving deep into 'how we are going to integrate all these systems in a remixed way. Which systems are we gonna remix? Which systems are we gonna remix and add new things to?'"

There's more Fallout on the horizon--Amazon has just announced that the live-action TV adaptation has been renewed for a third season. Season 2 officially wrapped production just last week, and is still over six months out from its scheduled premiere in December.
Actor Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus in the show, recently revealed the series could go for five or six seasons. Shortly after, Variety reported that a third season has been officially confirmed by Prime Video. "Together with our amazing partners at Bethesda Games and Bethesda Softworks, we are delighted to announce a third season of Fallout, well ahead of the much-anticipated debut of Season Two," said global head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders.
The early renewal shows that Prime Video has a lot of faith in the video game adaptation, and for good reason. The first season of Fallout was critically well-received and beloved by audiences, and has since become one of Prime Video's top three most successful titles.
