New mClassic Graphics Upscalers For Switch & Retro Games Are Already Discounted

Marseille has expanded its lineup of graphic-upscaling gaming accessories with two speciality mClassic dongles. The mClassic Switch Edition is tailored around upscaling the visuals on Switch and other widescreen platforms like Steam Deck. The mClassic Retro Edition, on the other hand, is designed for gamers who want to improve the experience of older games with 4:3 aspect ratio on modern TVs. Both of these newly released gadgets are on sale for $85 (was $100) as part of Amazon's Big Spring Sale.

The original mClassic Graphics Upscaler is still being manufactured--and it's also on sale for $85 (was $100)--as it offers a hybrid experience with visual improvements for modern and retro games. The new iterations offer the same marquee enhancement modes while adding two new visual modes each. Let's take a closer look at all three options below.

mClassic Graphics Upscalers -- $85 ($100)
  • Original Edition - Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and retro platforms
  • Switch Edition - Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, other 16:9 platforms
  • Retro Edition - Retro games with 4:3 aspect ratio (N64, PS2, GameCube, SNES, etc.)
mClassic Graphics Upscaler (Original Model) $85 (was $100)

The original mClassic Graphics Upscaler offers a combination of the two recently released specialty editions. It has features and modes designed for games that render in 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen) as well as tech created to enhance the picture quality and performance of retro games developed for 4:3 aspect ratio TVs.

The mClassic offers noticeable visual upgrades--though the degree to which you notice the differences depends on how discerning you are when it comes to graphics. Switch games can be upscaled up to 1440p at 60fps. It has built-in anti-aliasing tech that smooths jagged edges and sharpens the picture. The exact boost in visual fidelity varies based on the game, in our experience.

On consoles with HDMI such as Switch, PS3, and Xbox 360 (besides first-gen 360 consoles), all you need to do is plug it into your console, connect the included power cable, and then reconnect your HDMI cable from your TV into the mClassic dongle.

The mClassic substantially improves the overall picture quality and playability of game consoles from the pre-HD era--Super Nintendo, N64, GameCube, etc.--on modern flat-screen 4K and HD TVs. A CRT TV is still clearly the best option for retro gaming, but the mClassic is a great option for those who don't want to deal with the bulk of a box TV or the hassle of finding one in general.

There's a switch on the dongle to flip between modern and retro modes. The third "mode" on the original mClassic simply turns the device's graphics processor off.

  • Enhancement On: Improves the visuals/performance of widescreen platforms, including Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck.
  • Retro Mode: Allows you to play retro games in 4:3 aspect ratio on modern displays. Markedly improves the picture quality of games originally designed for CRT TVs.

Note: Game consoles without an HDMI port--like the aforementioned retro Nintendo consoles--require the mClassic to be connected to an adapter, such as this $30 model or this one for $20.

See at Amazon mClassic Graphics Upscaler (Nintendo Switch Edition) $85 (was $100)

The mClassic Switch Edition focuses solely on modern gaming platforms with widescreen aspect ratios (16:9). When it comes to modern HD consoles, Marseille has always geared the mClassic toward the Switch, which is why Nintendo's console is in the new model's name. But the mClassic Switch Edition can be used with Steam Deck, PS3, Xbox 360, and other devices with widescreen aspect ratios that lack 1440p and/or 4K resolution.

Once again, performance on Switch varies by game, but the mClassic Switch Edition is capable of upscaling to 1440p at 60fps.

You can toggle between three different visual modes on the mClassic Switch Edition:

  • Enhancement On: This mode offers all of the same benefits as the "Enhancement On" mode in the original mClassic.
  • Switch Plus: Recreates Switch handheld mode while playing on TV. If you think Switch games look better in handheld mode--and you aren't alone in thinking that--this mode might be preferred over the original enhancement mode.
  • Switch Enhance Mode: This mode aims to offer some of the key benefits of OLED TVs, namely improved contrast and clarity when dark colors are displayed.
See at Amazon mClassic Graphics Upscaler (Retro Edition) $85 (was $100)

The new mClassic Retro Edition has three different modes geared toward consoles that released prior to the high-definition era. If you are buying the mClassic to play games on SNES, GameCube, PlayStation 2, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64 or any other console designed for 4:3 aspect ratio, the Retro Edition is the one to pick.

It has three modes you can switch between:

  • Retro Mode: Display games in original 4:3 aspect ratio with upscaled resolution.
  • Vintage Mode: Replicates CRT TV picture and audio in 4:3 aspect ratio. This mode does not alter the colors, lighting, or sound, as it's geared toward authenticity.
  • Vintage Enhance Mode: A mix of Retro and Vintage Modes, as it balances authenticity with visual fidelity improvements.

Note: Game consoles without an HDMI port--like the aforementioned retro Nintendo consoles--require the mClassic Original or mClassic Retro to be connected to an adapter, such as this $30 model or this one for $20.

Marseille recommends locking your Nintendo Switch to 720p while docked--the resolution for handheld mode--for the best results. Based on our testing, we agree with that recommendation, but don't forget to turn 1080p back on before you play without the mClassic Original or mClassic Switch.

Game Informer Is Officially Back, Former Staff And Iconic Magazine Included

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 07:29

Following its sudden closure in August 2024, long-running video game magazine Game Informer is officially back. The staff announced the news earlier today in an official blog post, writing, "The whole team has returned, and we can’t wait to connect with you again."

In the same post, Game Informer editor-in-chief Matt Miller went on to explain that the outlet was given a "new lease on life" following its acquisition by game studio Gunzilla. Furthermore, Gunzilla also rehired the entire team of folks working at Game Informer prior to its closure. Miller stated that because of this rehiring, the team is confident that they can maintain an "unbroken identity of who we are and what we represent."

Gunzilla, which is currently working on upcoming battle royale game Off the Grid, reportedly assured Game Informer staff that the company will operate independently of the studio, with "100 percent of the decisions around what we cover and how we do so" coming from the site's editorial team. According to Miller, Gunzilla Games sees "the same potential in Game Informer as our team does, and their encouragement to do so ethically and free of outside pressure is laudable."

Last Of Us Coffee Contains Post-Apocalyptic Ingredient For That Extra Kick

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 06:49

Joel Miller loves a good cup of coffee. Though we're not sure he would be down to try a mushroom blend, some The Last of Us fans might be braver. The mushroom blend coffee trend might still have conventional fans on the fence, but Four Sigmatic--the first commercial mushroom blend company--is partnering up with HBO's The Last of Us for a limited edition blend.

The coffee is a blend of lion’s mane and cordyceps mushrooms, along with Vitamin B12 and coffee bean extract. The company boasts that the blend "increases mental focus and energy." Lion's mane is a popular ingrident in mushroom coffee, and cordyceps have been proven to fight imflamation.

The Last of Us blend has about 180 mg of caffeine.

"Cordyceps can not infect humans," said fungi expert Paul Stamets when the show originally premiered. "This is fiction weaved info a theme speckled with mycology and exploiting Mycophobia: the fear of fungi. It is natural for humans to fear that which is powerful but mysterious and misunderstood. So I applaud the writers for seeing this opportunity to take us on a literary adventure into the realm of sci-fi while exploiting the public’s fascination, fear, and joy of fungi."

Atomfall Review - Bunker Thrill

Games Reviews - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 06:24

Atomfall is not Fallout. The comparison has been a popular one, but the developers wanted to make it clear that this new IP from the creators of Sniper Elite is "its own thing for sure," and they're right. It is. But there are times when the similarities jump off the screen. Both focus on a post-apocalyptic world full of mutants, warring factions, and--most relatable of all--they both feature a sprawling locked bunker at the heart of their stories. But where the inciting incident in most Fallout games is escaping that bunker, Atomfall asks you to get inside its mysterious facility, The Interchange. It's in that simply stated objective that Atomfall's open-ended world design elevates the game to be something different and interesting in its own right, even as things like stealth and combat drag it down at times.

Just as Atomfall's major brushstrokes are derivative of Fallout and other post-apocalyptic fiction, its story starts with a similar penchant for the cliche. You awaken as an amnesiac in a 1950s-set British countryside. A nearby phone booth rings, and the voice on the other side demands you destroy someone or something called "Oberon." That same voice will call back nearly each time you approach a phone booth in the wild. The cryptic messages don't make a bit of sense, but it does swiftly push you toward your objective: Find and get inside The Interchange, a locked-down facility of some sort that seems to have been the site of a science experiment gone wrong. In there, Oberon can perish, if you so choose.

The region's people have been left to put the pieces back together following this event, and it's resulted in the forming of several opposing groups, such as the military force that claims authority, roaming bandits who use the chaos as an invitation to resort to lawlessness, and a cult of pagans who believe the catastrophe was good, actually. These territorial factions are often isolated to their own regions, which are experienced as a series of open-world maps that can be explored without limitations as soon as you start the game.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Patch Notes Are Light Despite Hefty File Size

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 06:09

Assassin's Creed Shadows had a successful launch for Ubisoft, and now the game's first hotfix has arrived to make a few improvements to the experience. The patch notes are on the lighter side, despite some of the large file sizes, but Update 1.0.1 for Assassin's Creed Shadows includes better stabilization and fixes for the game's photo mode.

According to the patch notes, the main highlight of Update 1.0.1 is fixing problems with the photo mode on PlayStation 5 and PC. This hotfix addresses a crash that could happen for PS5 users when fetching photos to display on the world map, and it fixes an issue that previously could cause a crash when taking a photo on PC.

The small update also makes global game-stability improvements across all platforms, and the download size for each platform can be seen below.

Why The Last Of Us Season 2 Is Making This Major Change To Abby's Story

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 06:03

The Last of Us Season 2 introduces Kaitlyn Dever's Abby, a central character to the story. Obviously any adaptation will make changes to fit the medium, and that's no different for Season 2 with respect to Abby's story.

In the game, players are introduced to Abby by way of a cutscene (via GamesRadar) that transitions to players taking control of Abby as the playable character for a period of time. This allows players to "immediately form an empathetic connection" with Abby because you're playing as her, writer Neil Druckmann said during an interview attended by Entertainment Weekly.

Obviously, the TV show is not interactive, so Druckmann and the team changed things up, including the timeline. As fans will recall, they only learn about Abby's backstory after a certain major event plays out, with the game then going back in time to see how things came to be from Abby's perspective.

TTRPG Sunderfolk Is A Blast, And Even Better For Friends Looking To Jump Into Tabletop Games

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 05:30

At GDC 2025, I got a chance to play Sunderfolk, an upcoming cooperative turn-based tactical RPG adventure that lets you play a tabletop RPG with your friends without the need to set up any physical maps or learn a book of rules. Heck, you don't even all have to be in the same place, as the game is entirely controlled via players' cell phones. I had a lot of fun playing Sunderfolk, appreciating how its approachable structure and simple combat system made for a far easier set of mechanics to grasp in comparison to the likes of Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Pathfinder 2e, or Vampire: The Masquerade 5e. Plenty of friend groups who have always wanted to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to tabletop RPGs but simply don't have the time or money to jump into the hobby are going to find a lot to love with Sunderfolk.

In Sunderfolk, each player picks from one of six characters: the raven Arcanist is your traditional spellcaster, the bat Bard empowers and heals allies through song, the polar bear Berserker dominates the front line with a massive hammer, the goat Ranger outputs more damage the farther they are away from the action, the weasel Rogue dismantles foes from up close, and the salamander Pyromancer unleashes fiery explosions. These six characters have been tasked with defending the Arden, a peaceful town where anthropomorphic animals live together, from a growing shadowy corruption that is transforming previously manageable annoyances into monstrous threats.

Sunderfolk's combat is played on a hexagonal grid.

I opted for the Ranger, while two members of developer Secret Door played alongside me as the Bard and Berserker. Sunderfolk can be played alone (one player would just be controlling multiple characters, akin to Baldur's Gate 3), but most of my enjoyment came from strategizing with my teammates and trying to figure out how to best pair our unique abilities together to handle a combat situation. Up to four players can play at a time in Sunderfolk, and grabbing a group of three or four feels like the ideal way to play this game.

Ex-Blizzard Boss's Wildgate Plays Like The Star Trek Game I've Always Wanted

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 05:30

I began my hands-on preview with Wildgate--one of the first projects from former Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime's Dreamhaven firm--worried that it might be trying to do too much. The briefing just before the preview session began mentioned a lot of different elements at once: 20-person multiplayer, space exploration, two types of combat, procedurally generated worlds, and the list goes on. If even one of these elements didn't deliver, the entire experience will be worse for it.

Somehow, Wildgate sticks the landing so far. The ability to seamlessly shift between exploration and combat is impressive, progression feels earned rather than forced, and the format lends itself to all sorts of different strategies based on the players joining you on the expedition. After playing a few matches against both AI and human opponents, Wildgate is showing some real promise as the next big multiplayer experience.

Wildgate matches throw five teams of five players each into a wide-open 8x8 grid of space in pursuit of the Artifact, a mysterious item of vast power. The main objective for each team is to find the Artifact and take it through the Wildgate, thus escaping with the big prize, but a team can also win by being the last ship standing at any point in the match.

The Outlast Trials Update Includes A Ton Of Free (And Unsettling) Cosmetics

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 05:23

The Outlast Trials update 2.1 has arrived, bringing new limited-time events, missions, and a whole bunch of new cosmetics, including several skins in a game already chock full of some of the creepiest character costumes in all of video games. The free update is out now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

Two new MK-Challenges, the game's shorter-form missions, debut as Stash the Contraband and Kidnap the Mistress. Like other missions in the game, these are contextualized as brainwashing exercises, as the seedy Murkoff corporation attempts to get you to bend to their will before they release you as a sleeper agent sent into the world to cause Cold War-era chaos.

A bonus page of high-end cosmetics has been added to last season's Catalog, the game's free battle pass system, while a whole new Catalog is out now, too. It includes several skins, including one that resembles the Zodiac Killer's famous get-up. It's just the latest creepy skin in this game which seems to pride itself on its depraved cosmetics.

This Excellent Nintendo Switch And Smartphone Controller Just Hit Its Lowest Price Ever

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 05:18

The popular GameSir G8 Plus Controller is down to its lowest price ever, making this a great time to upgrade your gamepad. Compatible with Switch, iOS, and Android, it packs in a lot of great features for just $64 (was $80). The limited-time deal is part of Amazon's Big Spring Sale, which means it'll likely disappear when the event ends on March 31.

GameSir G8 Plus Controller $64 (was $80)

The GameSir G8 Plus fits most phones and tablets up to 8.46 inches. It also works with Nintendo Switch, and based on its dimensions and Bluetooth support, it's possible it will also support the upcoming Switch 2. And if you want, you can even use it as a PC controller via USB. That makes it a pretty well-rounded gamepad, especially when you consider its new low price.

Aside from its universal compatibility, it's equipped with Hall Effect sticks to resist the dreaded analog drift, a six-axis gyroscope for motion controls, and dual motor vibration. It also offers two trigger modes, one of which allows for faster actuation. Its buttons are also interchangeable, allowing you to swap around its face buttons or stick caps based on your preferences.

This isn't the only great controller on sale during Amazon's Big Spring Sale. The GameSir G8 Galileo is even more affordable at $62 (was $80), and it's a solid alternative for mobile-focused gamers. For something more traditional, the GameSir Cyclone 2 Wireless Controller is $47.59 (was $56). It works with PC, Switch, iOS, and Android, and gets you a standard controller format along with Hall Effect sticks, a charging stand, and responsive microswitch face buttons.

The new 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller is also discounted at Amazon. The pro-style gamepad only just released earlier this year but is already discounted to just $48 (was $60). All three colors (black, white, purple) are eligible for the price cut. Our review found it to be an improvement over its predecessor--which was already listed as our favorite PC controller.

Blizzard Makes Unprecedented Move To Restore WoW Classic Hardcore Characters Slain In DDoS Attacks

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 03:14

World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore characters who permanently died during recent DDoS attacks will be restored, Blizzard says, citing the disruption as "a cut above anything we've faced before."

The attacks happened multiple times over the weekend and affected a large number of players, but in particular seemed targeted at the WoW Classic Hardcore streamer guild OnlyFangs, a group that has made a name for itself on Twitch playing WoW Classic's high-stakes permadeath mode. During a boss fight against Ebonroc in Blackwing Lair, many Onlyfangs players were disconnected as a result of the denial-of-service attack, resulting in a large number of guild members dying.

The guild leader, a player by the name Sodapoppin, announced what amounted to the end of the guild shortly after. He cited the targeted attacks as making the continuation of the guild difficult unless Blizzard decided to restore killed characters, something he said he believed was "highly unlikely."

Samsung's New 2025 Odyssey Gaming Monitors Include A Glasses-Free 3D Display

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 02:30

Samsung announced three new gaming monitors launchinf in 2025, including the 27-Inch Odyssey 3D, which will be able to display stereoscopic 3D without needing 3D glasses (which probably sounds familiar to Nintendo fans). The other new monitors include a new models of Samsung's award-winning Odyssey OLED and 49-inch super-wide monitors. We've detailed the specs and features of all three new Samsung gaming monitors below. While Samsung did not announce pricing or release dates for any of the new models, customers can sign up to reserve a preorder spot, and reserving one in advance will save you $50 on your purchase.

27-Inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF) Pricing TBD | Release date TBD

Unlike other 3D monitors, this one doesn't require any dedicated glasses. Instead, it uses new eye-tracking technology and a lenticular lens to generate high-definition 3D images without the need for any eyewear. Samsung is currently working with partners like Nexon and Neowiz to showcase its abilities. If footage isn't designed for 3D, its AI video conversion tech can transform most 2D scenes into a 3D scene, ensuring you can use the monitor for a wide range of content.

Beyond 3D, the monitor offers all the other premium features you'd expect from a high-end device. This includes a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 4K resolution. You'll also get AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync for tear-free gaming. And if you're a fan of ambient lighting, the monitor is equipped with Edge Lighting that illuminates the space around the monitor based on the on-screen action.

Reserve a preorder at Samsung Odyssey OLED (G81SF) Pricing TBD | Release date TBD

Available in 27-inch and 32-inch formats, the Odyssey OLED (G81SF) is all about image quality. Samsung notes that the 27-inch model offers the highest pixel density (166ppi) among any of its 27-inch monitors, making it a brilliant choice for discerning gamers. The 4K resolution supports a blistering 240Hz refresh rate, VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 for vibrant colors, and a glare-free coating to limit refractions from nearby light sources.

A 0.03ms response time makes it ideal for gaming, as does support for both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync. The screen isn't the only good-looking part of the monitor, as its slim metal frame and various built-in lights should make it a premium companion for your gaming room.

Reserve a preorder at Samsung 49-Inch Odyssey G91F Pricing TBD | Release date TBD

There are already many 49-inch gaming monitors on the market, but Samsung is looking to bring "curved ultrawide gaming" to a larger audience. Hopefully, this will be done by offering a more affordable price tag, but right now, it's unclear exactly what this massive monitor will cost.

It's well equipped, with the monitor offering a 1000R curve, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time, plus support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Two of its most useful features might be Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture, allowing you to display two different devices on screen at once. They can even be resized based on your preferences.

Expect to learn more about pricing and release date details for all three monitors in the coming weeks.

GTA 6 Could Prompt Major Studios To Delay Games - Report

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 02:26

Grand Theft Auto VI is coming this year, and it's expected to be a huge success with 40 million sales and $3 billion in revenue in its first year. Its release looms so large that some publishers are apparently considering delaying their games to avoid a clash.

Three anonymous "major" video game publishers told The Game Business that they are "ready" to delay upcoming projects due to GTA 6. The report didn't say what these companies are, but an anonymous boss of "one of the world's biggest game publishers" told TGB that Rockstar's releases "always suck a lot of money, and more importantly, time out of the market."

"We don't want to be anywhere near that. We are working up multiple different plans for our titles," the anonymous executive said. Another unnamed senior executive at a publisher said even without GTA 6 coming to market, it's become "immensely difficult to find free time for new games to shine. Time is the real scarcity for us, not money. It's tough out there."

Deluxe Edition Of This Superb Patrick Rothfuss Novel Is Very Cheap Right Now

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 02:25

Readers of fantasy fiction can get a deluxe hardcover version of one of the best novels in the genre published in the last 20 years for cheap at Amazon. The Name of the Wind 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition by Patrick Rothfuss is on sale for only $16.65 (was $45), which is the lowest price since 2020.

The Name of the Wind: 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (Hardcover) $16.65 (was $45)

Originally published in 2007, The Name of the Wind received rave reviews and quickly earned Rothfuss legions of fans. It's the first book in The Kingkiller Chronicle, an ongoing saga that currently contains two novels and two novellas.

The 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition is a 752-page hardcover with more than 50 pages of extra content. Among the new content is a smattering of illustrations, a detailed world map, a note from Patrick Rothfuss, an appendix discussing the world's currencies and calendar, and a guide to pronouncing the various names and places throughout the novel.

You'll also get a bold new cover design from artist Sam Weber and designer Paul Buckley, which makes it an excellent centerpiece for fans of the series.

See at Amazon

The Name of the Wind tells of the story of Kvothe, a young wizard in the world of Temerant. It uses a unique style that employs both first-and third-person narration, as Kvothe talks to a scribe about his past while a separate story is unraveling in the present. It's a fantastic fantasy novel that tells a sprawling yet simultaneously intimate story.

If you're looking for an even more affordable version of the book, the trade paperback of The Name of the Wind is just $8.26 (was $22). But since you're getting so much more content and a better-quality book, the 10th Anniversary Edition is probably worth the extra eight bucks. There's currently no reason to consider the standard hardcover version, as it's more expensive than the fancier edition at $17.46.

Monster Hunter Wilds Second Update Teaser Hints At The Return Of A Fan-Favorite Flagship Monster

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 02:10

During its showcase on March 25, Capcom teased the return of a fan-favorite monster to Monster Hunter Wilds for its second title update, coming this summer.

In the showcase, a fleeting few seconds at the end of the video show the signature long, taloned claws of Lagiacrus. Introduced in Monster Hunter 3, Lagiacrus is a mammoth Leviathan. Shifting colors between gray-blue when dry, and deep blue when wet, Lagiacrus has been a fan-favorite for some time, achieving third place in Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary vote for Hunters' Choice of top monster.

Lagiacrus has been teased for MHW second title update

Previously holding a flagship monster title for the third generation, fans of the series knew Lagiacrus was being teased as soon as underwater noises were heard, nodding to its hunt location in previous games. Previously, encounters with Lagiacrus have taken place underwater, so here's hoping a similar fight style will be available when the second title update arrives in Summer 2025.

Goat Simulator Devs Announce Goat Direct, And We Aren't Kidding

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 02:00

As we get closer to the summer season of video game livestreams, it looks like the "GOAT" of them all is preparing to get the party started early. Goat Simulator developer Coffee Stain North has revealed that a Goat Direct will be broadcast on April 1 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET through its YouTube channel, and fans can expect announcements for Goat Simulator 3 and a number of of reveals from its partners. Yes, we know that this event has been announced for April 1, but publisher Coffee Stain has assured us that this is definitely happening and it won't be a repeat of the Goat Simulator musical that failed to materialize.

"Come one, come all to the grand finale of Goat Simulator's anniversary year," Coffee Stain North creative director Santiago Ferrero said in a press statement. "2024 will always be the 'Year of the Goat' in our hearts, but we can’t wait to celebrate even more exciting revelations coming in 2025. We do realize that announcing lots of new things on April Fools' Day isn’t always the best of ideas--but we think we’ve truly outdone ourselves this year--so please believe us and tune in to Goat Direct."

Coffee Stain added that the Goat Direct will include an update on the previously revealed Goat Simulator: The Card Game alongside several secret announcements. Will that include a Goat Simulator reality show about finding love called The Baaaa-chelor? An art exhibit featuring the works of Vincent van Goat? More silly Billy puns? Probably not.

While Lego hasn't produced as many Lord of the Rings sets in recent years as it used to--the majority of these have been retired--we have seen impressive kits roll out lately. The enormous replica of the Barad-Dur tower is a space-stealing structure composed of almost 5,500 pieces, but it is pricey at $460. If you're looking for something that'll take several hours to build, this could be worth picking up as it features numerous rooms like Gollum's hideout, Sauron's throne room, and a prison for Orcs, all with several cool Easter eggs hidden inside of them. Once fully built, it reaches nearly three feet in height.

Monster Hunter Wilds Festival Of Accord: Blossomdance Event Overhauls New Grand Hub Area

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 01:55

In a new showcase, Capcom has announced a limited-time event coming to Monster Hunter Wilds that will see the game's new Grand Hub area cosmetically overhauled, with rewards to be earned.

Each season, a unique celebration will be held in the Grand Hub, an area introduced in the first Monster Hunter Wilds title update. From April 23 to May 7, Festival of Accord: Blossomdance will be the first event to take place in the area. The space will be cosmetically transformed, with tens of beautiful cherry blossom trees spilling flowers into the area, and the available meals changing.

Blossomdance adds plentiful cherry blossom trees to MHW

Hunters can earn limited-time equipment, gestures, camp decorations, and more. For Blossomdance, these are aptly flower-themed, with pink and white colors being prevalent. While Capcom didn't detail the specific activities or challenges available during Blossomdance, it did reveal that events that have previously appeared in the series will return too, giving us a good guess at what we may have to undertake to earn these rewards.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Is No longer The Most Wishlisted Game On Steam, InZoi Is

Game News - Wed, 03/26/2025 - 01:39

Ahead of its launch later this week, InZoi has overtaken Hollow Knight: Silksong in order to become the most wishlisted game on Steam.

This was spotted by VGC, who monitored data directly from Steam and third-party websites like SteamDB. Although Hollow Knight: Silksong technically has more followers on Steam, according to SteamDB, that data shows that over 52,000 people have wishlisted InZoi prior to its March 27 launch, skyrocketing its follower total to over 244,000. That's enough to make it display as the most wishlisted game on Steam. The top five is rounded out, in order, by Hollow Knight: Silksong, Deadlock, Elden Ring Nightreign, and Mecha Break.

InZoi is a life sim game that clearly draws inspiration from series like The Sims. Players can create and customize virtual humans called "Zois," before watching them go about their daily lives. When InZoi comes out this Friday, it'll be part of the Steam Early Access program. GameSpot's early-access review of InZoi saw potential in what it played, praising its visuals and customizations, but noted that there's still much to improve regarding gameplay.
