After tallying 1 million in sales, the indie arcade golf game Super Battle Golf's first expansion, Frozen Fairway, is releasing today, April 9. The free expansion adds slippery new conditions, more items--including the mega-powerful Rocket Driver--as well as a bevy of quality-of-life improvements fans had been asking for since the game launched in February. GameSpot recently caught up with Cal Rehnqvist, the co-founder of developer Brimstone, who told us more about the Frozen Fairway update and the response to the game in general thus far. He also teased a little more about what's to come.

For anyone just catching up, Super Battle Golf is an arcade-style golf game where up to eight players compete to finish a hole--the twist is that everyone is playing together at the same time. And unlike in real golf, you can utilize all sorts of offensive and defensive items to help get to the hole fastest.

The game, which is published by Oro Interactive, launched in February this year and sells for $8--though you can get it right now on Steam for only $5.60--the discount runs through April 14. You can also grab the game bundled with a competitor title, Golf With Friends, through the "Golf With Your Enemies" bundle for $20.

There's a farming sim for just about every taste in this post-Stardew Valley world, but if you're looking for atmospheric agriculture, then you might want to check out Crop. Revealed during the Triple-I Initiative Showcase, Crop puts an eerie spin on the usual formula of digging holes, planting seeds, and nurturing crops, as that hard work is paired with the slow-burning dread of an investigative thriller.

Bound to a homestead that isn't as fertile as it used to be, players will have to work the land with dirt, blood, and pesticides to feed a village full of starving people. Investigation is as vital as irrigation, as you search for answers as to how you wound up here and found yourself contracted to high-stakes farming, and you'll need to organize your crops wisely if you want to survive.

That means digging trenches, installing pumps, and repairing crumbling equipment to slow down the rot that's creeping onto your land in this single-player game.

It feels like it's been ages since we last picked up the Vampire Killer whip in Castlevania, but the wait is almost over. Castlevania: Belmont's Curse was announced at Sony's February 2026 State of Play, and a new gameplay trailer just dropped during today's Triple-I Showcase. The game brings back classic Castlevania action, but this time, you won't only battle Dracula's monsters. You'll also face corrupted legends, including the Maid of Orleans, Joan of Arc, who is a serious threat to anyone who crosses her path.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse takes place in Paris in 1499, set 23 years after Castlevania: Dracula's Curse. The game is being developed by Evil Empire, the team behind The Rogue Prince of Persia, and unlike the recent Lords of Shadow games, this one returns to 2D for classic exploration and combat. Evil Empire also worked on the Castlevania expansion for Dead Cells, but don't expect any roguelite elements in Belmont's Curse.

There was a ton of content added with the Free Lanes update in Starfield, but one of the most intriguing new items is the Moon Jumper vehicle. Unlike the REV-8, the Moon Jumper is meant to be flown in the air, as it has a much higher boost threshold. It's truly enjoyable to drive, as you can soar above planets and moons and quickly get around to different POIs.

However, the Moon Jumper isn't something you can just buy from a Ship Service Technician or even through the Terran Armada DLC. Instead, you have to go out and manually search for the vehicle yourself in Starfield.

Unfortunately, there's no one specific answer as to where you can find your own Moon Jumper. Bethesda has made the vehicle a random encounter throughout the Settled Systems, making it difficult to find if you're not on the lookout for it.

You can download Pokémon Home for either Switch or for mobile devices, but you will need the Switch version to transfer Pokémon from any of the Switch titles into Pokémon Champions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is finally available to preorder. While we still don't have a release date, preorders going live is a good sign that a launch date announcement could happen soon. The bad news is that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will be yet another Switch 2 Game Key-Card release, and it costs a whopping $80. Now, considering you're getting the original $60 base game and its $40 expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, plus some new exclusive weapons and armor skins, that price makes a little more sense. But the fact that it's a Game Key-Card--meaning it has none of the game data on the cart, and instead simply unlocks access to download the digital version--makes $80 a tougher sell for fans who prefer true physical media.

Nevertheless, fans who want to add the game to their shelves can reserve a physical copy for $80 at Amazon and GameStop. Out of nowhere, Take-Two's mobile game company Zynga has released a new Borderlands game for mobile devices. It's out right now on iOS, despite no official announcement from 2K, Gearbox, or Take-Two.

A spokesperson for Zynga told GameSpot that the company's NaturalMotion studio is conducting a "limited-time test" for Borderlands Mobile, which is only a working title. Gearbox is involved for the purposes of "creative guidance" for the game's design, history, and lore.

"We hope that players enjoy this new Borderlands experience and look forward to their feedback," the spokesperson said.

Several Pokemon fans are expressing disappointment with Pokemon Champions at launch due to glitches and missing content, but some players think that the game's depiction of Pokemon sizes is a positive.

A Reddit post shared an image of a Steelix and Wyrdeer in battle, claiming that Champions has "accurate Pokemon sizes for the first time" since the release of Let's Go on Switch. In the screenshot, Steelix is notably taller than Wyrdeer, while in other games like Pokemon Legends: Arceus and Scarlet and Violet, the two are scaled to similar heights.

Social media posts from other players pointed out that Alpha Pokemon, which debuted in Legends: Arceus and are both more powerful and significantly larger than normal Pokemon, look appropriately big in Champions, and the game reflects size variations between Pokemon of the same species.

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 6 is 2026's most anticipated game, and perhaps it is the most anticipated game in history. People want to know everything there is to know about it, and that includes information about its unannounced but expected online mode. A new report says the game's online mode won't launch alongside the game in November 2026, and that would be no surprise.

History suggests a staggered launch between GTA 6 and its expected online mode, lending credence to the report.

Historical precedent

Grand Theft Auto 5 launched on September 17, 2013, and its online mode--GTA Online--was released on October 1, meaning players had to wait two weeks to play it. Its success in the decade since then has been well documented.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story--the debut title from Just Cause developer Christofer Sundberg's new studio Liquid Swords--is finally here. But the gritty crime adventure's launch has been a bit rocky, mainly due to bugs that Liquid Swords is already working to address via a patch that's set to release on Friday.

"Early impressions [of Samson] are mixed and many of you are experiencing game-breaking bugs and performance issues," Sundberg himself shared in a post announcing the upcoming update. "That's unacceptable, and we are listening to everyone's feedback and are hard at work to deliver the game we spent years of our lives developing. Launching a game is a ton of work and I'm proud of the effort our team has put into seeing Samson from its initial concept through release."

The update, which is set to go live on Friday, April 10, is mainly focused on fixing performance issues, game crashes, and bugs that prevent progression. The patch will also add the ability for players to utilize up to eight save files.

Pokemon Champions accidentally produced a queer icon, with a game tutorial including a Gallade--historically a male-only Pokemon--labeled as female. But it looks like the game's developers are taking this trailblazer away, stating that the gender of some Pokemon seen in tutorials is one of many glitches to be patched.

Players can battle against trans Gallade in a tutorial segment focused on status effects. Gallade evolves from a male Kirlia when exposed to a Dawn Stone; Kirlia can also evolve to Gardevoir when reaching level 30, regardless of gender. A female Gallade should be technically impossible, so several light-hearted social media posts celebrated the unexpected trans representation, intentional or not.

And unintentional it was indeed, with developers releasing a statement in Japanese (translated by Serebii) listing "some genders of Pokemon in the tutorial" alongside other known bugs, such as the Lightning Rod ability not working as it should. The developers state that bugs will be fixed in future updates. Fans on social media are already mourning the loss of trans Gallade.

Jack Quaid is interested in being in a BioShock adaptation, and if that sounds familiar, it's because The Boys star has been campaigning to be in a BioShock project for some time already. Now, he's reiterated that desire in an interview with Collider, saying, "I would kill to be in a BioShock adaptation."

He explained that he doesn't have a preferred character in mind, but he would love to "just be involved in the slightest." He said BioShock was one of the first "horror games" he ever played, and he singled out the game's narrative, including the major twist, saying he found the game's plot to be "incredible."

"Let's manifest this," Quaid said. "Let's do it."
