How To Clean Your House In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 11:15

InZoi is poised to be the first real competitor to The Sims franchise ever, but the brand-new life sim obviously can't just be a copy--when you're going up against a game as well established as The Sims 4, you have to do some things differently.

One of these different things involves taking care of your home. In The Sims, you have to do the dishes, and clean up piles of garbage, but the key thing is that garbage only accumulates as a direct result of your sims doing stuff. If you left the house alone for a week, it'd be just as clean when you return as it was when you left.

But InZoi is a little more granular than The Sims 4 is in most respects, and house cleaning is one example. In InZoi, your home will naturally accumulate dirt and dust that you have to clean up regularly, or it will create a strain in your family's relationships. This layer of grime is quite visible just from looking around--you'll see a nice layer of grime on anything in the dirty area.

How To Get Tattoos In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 11:00

InZoi's extensive character customization options include the ability to give your Zoi tattoos, although it isn't immediately obvious how to do this. Use our guide to add tattoos quickly and easily--though note that the options are pretty limited for now.

How to get tattoos in InZoi

The tattoo option is hidden within the customization menus of the character creation screen, and so far we've not found any parlors in the city to get tattoos after creating our Zoi.

There are also limited placement options at launch, with Zois only being able to have face or neck tattoos at the moment. To find these options, open the character creator (or choose to edit your Zoi's appearance in-game) and navigate to the accessories menu.

How To Get Out Of Jail In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 11:00

It's a hard life being a Zoi. There are so many moral questions to answer--will you live a clean, honest lifestyle, or will you turn to the criminal lifestyle and see how much you can get away with? Occasionally, actions you take in InZoi will end up with your Zoi being thrown in jail, but how do you get out?

How to get out of jail in InZoi

There are a couple of options here. Firstly, you can choose to just not get out of jail at all. If you think your Zoi needs to reflect on their crimes and turn to a better lifestyle, you can remain in jail to reflect on your actions. When in jail, all your Zoi has access to is a bed, a toilet with very little privacy, a water fountain, and some vending machines. It's not the most enriching environment, and we're not sure what you'll really learn from being in there.

Choosing to go home from jail

Secondly, at around 7 AM the morning after you've been arrested, a pop-up message will appear saying that all prisoners will be sent home around 9 AM. Waiting for the time doesn't automatically send your Zoi home, though. Instead, you can click on your Zoi and choose the "Get Out of Jail" option. This will change your Zoi from their fetching orange overalls back into their usual clothes.

How To Rob An ATM In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 11:00

Robbing a bank--we've all joked about it, right? Now, with the release of Krafton's InZoi, your dreams can become reality (kind of). ATMs are dotted about the cities of InZoi, and if your Zoi so wishes, they can try their hand at robbing one. Unfortunately, there are a few hazards to be aware of, so we'll walk you through the most effective way to rob an ATM in InZoi and get away with both some money and your life.

How to rob an ATM in InZoi

Before you can choose to rob an ATM, you first need to get your Karma down to the "Bad" level. This can be achieved by interacting negatively with other Zois, taking other karmically negative actions, such as checking for loose change in vending machines, and generally being a terrible citizen.

ATMs can be found on the sidewalk.

Once your Karma level is at "Bad" you can find the nearest ATM in your city. These are dotted along the sidewalks. Ironically, there doesn't appear to be any ATMs within the local bank; they're just on the roadside. You'll want to select the "Karma action" option and choose "Hack" to attempt to rob the ATM.

InZoi Money Cheat And All Ways To Make Money In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 10:53

InZoi is a life sim, and so by necessity it includes a particularly obnoxious thing that most of us have to sweat every single day of our lives: money. In this case a fictional currency called Meows. Fortunately, it's a bit easier to make money in a video game like InZoi than it is in the real world, because the steps are clear and simple and don't change dramatically over time. InZoi even features a money cheat for those really looking to get ahead. But even by normal methods, once you know how to make money, you'll make money. This is good because you'll be hiring a maid service to deal with all the dirt that keeps filling up your house every day before too long, and that Hyundai Ioniq isn't gonna buy itself.

That said, the methods by which you'll earn your Meows in InZoi are fairly similar to how you'd do it on our Earth: Unless you win the lottery, you have to do some kind of work, be it a normal 9-5 job, some kind of freelance career, or even by undertaking criminal enterprises. But it's not always obvious how to do what you have to do to bring home that paper, and so we'll break it all down for you below with our list of ways to make cash in InZoi.

Table of Contents [hide]Use the InZoi money cheat

We'll start with the shortcut. No judgement--the game's economy is a bit wonky out of the gate, so we don't blame you. To use the InZoi money cheat, you'll head into the settings. In the Psicat guide menu, you'll find a button that says "money cheat" that will grant you 100,000 meows each time you press it. Since the InZoi economy is pretty incoherent right now, there's no need to feel any guilt over cheating yourself some money at this stage of the game's development.

InZoi Romance Guide: How To Go On Dates, Get Married, And Get It On

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 10:32

Gamers and romance go together like peanut butter and jelly--there's little in the world we like more than a good interactive love story. This is no doubt a significant reason for the decades-long popularity of The Sims, and why interest in InZoi is so high. These games are, ideally, romantic sandboxes full of endless possibilities for love and drama.

But InZoi, of course, is a brand-new game released in Early Access, and so its romance systems are relatively unsophisticated right now in comparison with those of The Sims 4, which just added a ton of new romantic features in last year's Lovestruck expansion pack. Use our InZoi romance guide to learn how to flirt, go on dates, get married, and, perform a special kind of no-pants dance. You know the one.

Table of Contents [hide]Preparing for love

As with most aspects of InZoi at this early stage, the romance system is fairly basic but it gets the job done--you can have a crush on somebody, go on dates with them, get married, have kids, get divorced, all that fun stuff that everybody does in the real world. We've gotta have some way to spend that money we've been working so hard for, and we're certainly not spending hours every day cleaning our homes for nothing.

Best Weapons In The First Berserker: Khazan

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 09:45

Deciding which of The First Berserker Khazan's weapons to pick is more important than you might think at first glance. Any weapon technically works. However, the game doesn't hand out skill points quickly--nor do they carry over between weapon skill trees. Our First Berserker Khazan weapons guide explains which ones are worth your time and why.

Table of Contents [hide]Dual Wield

Dual Wield is what you start Khazan with, and this weapon type is much more than just the standard hack-and-slash device it resembles at first glance. Once you start investing skill points in the Ruthless tree, you unlock some exceptionally useful abilities. Frenzy and the Breeze skills let you string together dash attacks to perform a series of slashes that only stops when you stop pressing the attack input. It overwhelms standard enemies and smaller guardians, and it can take a chunk out of a boss enemy as well, or at least their stamina meter.

Dual Wield is your starting weapon, but that doesn't make it bad.

Dual Wield also has some excellent upgrades for your basic attack, including one that lets you create chain combos with different effects depending on when you press certain inputs. There's one that flings you into the air and has you crash onto an enemy's head, though attacks with faster, more fluid animations tend to be safer and more effective in this game.

How To Change Your Appearance In InZoi

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 08:55

We've all been there. You spend hours in the InZoi character creator, meticulously putting together the Zoi of your dreams--or your exact likeness, depending on your preference. Then, after a few hours, they grow stale. You begin to think they might even be too boring to be a Zoi. How do you change your appearance?

How to change your appearance in InZoi

There are some aspects of Zoi creation that can be changed after creation and some that can't. Thankfully, changing your appearance is something you can do at any time, as long as you're near a mirror.

To change your InZoi appearance, click on the mirror, and then select to change your appearance. From here, you can make as many adjustments as you like before hitting save and returning to your playthrough.

Nintendo Quietly Confirmed The Switch 2's C Button In Nintendo Today Promo

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 07:52

Nintendo accidentally confirmed the Switch 2's mystery button is a "C" Button, in some promotional material for the company's new Nintendo Today app on the Google Play store. The reveal happened after the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, during which Nintendo also announced virtual game cards and showcased Metroid Prime 4 again. Twitter and Bluesky user Wario64 first spotted it and posted a zoomed-in version of the image to make viewing it easier.

We speculated about the nature of the mystery button shortly after Nintendo revealed the Switch 2 at the start of the year. At the time, it was just a blank square situated under the "Home" button on the right Joy-Con. It's roughly where the invisible NFC detector is on the original Switch, the tool that scans Amiibo. Given that the Switch 2 is slightly larger than its predecessor, it looks like there's still room for an NFC scanner even with the mysterious "C" button.

Nintendo Switch 2 render in the Nintendo Today! app listing screenshots reveals the C button https://t.co/tyWwvoaS9y pic.twitter.com/UoIOPEM7ru

— Wario64 (@Wario64) March 27, 2025

Granted, we still don't know what the button actually does. The last Nintendo console with a "C" button was the Nintendo 64, which had four of them--a set of four buttons roughly where "ABXY" is on the current Switch. Wario64's replies were full of suggestions about what the "C" might stand for, and while most of them were lewd, one seems like a reasonable fit: Cursor. If the Switch 2 lets users imitate a mouse with the Joy-Con, as Nintendo suggested in the console's reveal trailer, perhaps the "C" button is what tells the Switch 2 to change how it registers Joy-Con inputs.

Hogwarts Legacy Expansion And Definitive Edition Canceled, Sequel Still In The Works - Report

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 06:56

Despite massive success, a new report states 2023's Hogwarts Legacy won't receive an expansion or a Definitive Edition re-release originally planned for later this year. Neither of these projects had been officially announced.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, who previously reported on the existence of a planned Definitive Edition and expansion for Hogwarts Legacy, states Warner Bros. Discovery is canceling both as part of the ongoing reorganization of its video game division. The expansion would have introduced new storylines to the popular open-world Harry Potter RPG, with the Definitive Edition slated to bundle together the base game, expansion, and other DLC content.

The cancellation comes out of Warner Bros'. concern that the amount of content planned for the expansion wasn't enough to justify its asking price, according to Bloomberg's sources. Despite the cancellation of the expansion, Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software is still reported to be working on a sequel.

All Hope For System Shock 3 Isn't Lost Yet

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 06:14

System Shock 3 has been in development hell since 2015, but Nightdive Studio is hoping to give fans some news about the game soon.

At GDC, Nightdive director of business development Larry Kuperman said that the situation surrounding System Shock 3 is complicated and that he didn't have any updates yet. "Not as yet, not as yet. I don’t know when it’s going to clarify, but it could potentially be within a year," he explained (via VGC). "It could be, or it could take longer. That said, what I can say is that we have visions of what we can do within what we control."

He also said that while System Shock 2's remaster is releasing soon, that doesn't mean that Nightdive won't do a remake. While it's unclear what the franchise's future holds after the release of the System Shock 2 remaster, he said that there were other actions the studio could take with both the first and second games. After all, a System Shock TV show is currently in the works.

These Popular EA Games Are Now Playable In A New Place

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:47

Amazon Luna+, the game-streaming platform run by the online retail giant, is adding a trio of high-profile games from Electronic Arts. Amazon has confirmed that it's reached a multi-year deal with EA to bring "many" of its games to Luna+, and this begins with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and 2023's Dead Space. These three games join Luna today, while more are coming to Luna "soon."

EA executive David Tinson said it partnered with Amazon in part to help its games reach an even bigger audience. Amazon teased that some of the upcoming EA titles to join the Luna catalog will include EA Sports games, though no titles were named outright.

Luna+ is not part of Amazon Prime but is instead an additional $10/month subscription (after a free seven-day trial). The subscription service has more than 100 games in the catalog already, including Batman: Arkham Knight, Sonic Frontiers, Resident Evil 2, Control, Alien: Isolation, and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. These games are playable over the cloud on a variety of devices, including Amazon's own TVs and tablets, as well as smartphones and PC.

Sea Of Thieves Update Adds Rumored Destiny 2 Crossover Content

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:45

After rumors and leaks floated about a potential collaboration, it's official: Sea of Thieves is bringing the looks of Destiny 2 to the high seas with today's update. Players can deck out their ship and crew with swanky Lightbearer items and gear such as Ghost anchors and sails bearing the signs of either Hunter, Warlock, or Titan. There are even class-themed figureheads, wheels, and a ship's crest, bearing Destiny insignias.

You can check out the trailer below to see the full Lightbearer assortment, including a Drifter costume and a Whisper of the Worm ornament for the Eye of Reach. Players can visit the Pirate Emporium to gear up for battle. Eyes up, mateys.

"Even though it might not seem like an obvious choice, Destiny's classes and co-operative play presented a 'crew-like' bond that we thought was a great fit, along with some striking iconography, vivid art style and a sense of being mythical in tone and scope," Adam Park, Rare's director of brand and licensing, told Xbox News.

Hunt: Showdown Needs To Be Easier, But Not Easy, Dev Says

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:42

Hunt: Showdown takes the title of the game I enjoy the most despite being bad at it. Like most people probably do, at a certain point, I'll drop a game from my life if the losing streaks are piling up too much and it's not feeling fun anymore. I don't win much in the horror-western extraction shooter, but I still play it a lot anyway because I find it alluring in other ways; the audio design is as immersive and instructive as any game I know; the artwork, especially its character design, is diverse and captivating. It's a no-holds-barred PvPvE game that I often play, even when I've come to expect failure.

As the game kicks off its latest event, Garden of the Witch, during its ongoing seventh-anniversary celebration, I recently caught up with a few folks from the Hunt: Showdown team at Crytek. This difficulty ramp was top of mind for me, but we touched on some other subjects too, like that aforementioned audio design being integral to the Hunt experience, and whether we might see Hunt: Showdown in other media, like movies or TV, someday. (Hint: It seems likely.)

You can find our full chat below, including thoughts on how the team hopes to make Hunt's learning curve a bit more manageable without losing its signature ruthlessness.

Neil Druckmann Doesn't Worry About TLOU Spoilers After They Previously "Blew Up In My Face"

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:32

When The Last of Us Part II debuted in 2020, it did so after a few major plot points were spoiled online well in advance. Now, with the show set to adapt that story when The Last of Us Season 2 premieres on HBO in a few weeks, there's a risk a whole new audience will have their experience altered by the prevalence of spoilers online. But for showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the latter of whom is now living through this predicament for a second time, spoilers aren't a huge concern.

"I feel like the best way I could respect the audience is by not thinking about them too much when I'm working on whatever I'm writing. That way I could just make the best decision with as little outside influence as possible, and make the best internal decisions for the characters, for the story, for the medium," Druckmann told GameSpot. "And you know, when it comes to like, what are we going to spoil or not spoil? You know, I fought tooth-and-nail when we made the game, and that all blew up in my face at the end, when we had those leaks that happened like months before the game came out. So I've learned to not put so much stock in that. But also, now I have a creative partner, HBO. I kind of follow their lead here as far as spoilers and what we should show and not show and just, you know, again, approach it as if we're doing it for the first time, assuming the audience doesn't know anything. They're not Googling what happened in the game or not."

Even with spoilers floating around for those who can't resist looking for them, the second season, like the first season, changes some details in order to ensure the team is "making the best choices for this moment in time," as a TV audience has different needs than a video game player.

The Discontinued Lego The Office Dunder Mifflin Set Is Back In Stock At Walmart

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:27

Fans of The Office can pick up Lego's recreation of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch at Walmart right now. Though it's not discounted, the 1,164-piece model kit was retired at the end of 2024. It was already difficult to find Lego Ideas: The Office at major retailers for most of last year, so we wouldn't expect Walmart to have this set available for very long.

Nintendo May Have Given Away A Clue About How Some Switch 2 Games Will Work

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 05:10

The most recent Nintendo Direct presentation introduced Virtual Game Cards, or the ability to share digital games between multiple Nintendo Switch consoles in one household or under one family account. However, the official website explaining the concept makes an interesting reference in the fine print that may shed light on how the company will define "enhanced" Switch 1 games going forward.

Hidden among the asterisks on the bottom of the page, the website refers to a heretofore unannounced term called "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" games. Specifically, the site reads "Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games [emphasis added] can only be loaded on a Nintendo Switch 2 system."

The capitalization of "Edition" in that phrase is what's interesting--while Nintendo has mentioned that the Switch 2 will be backward-compatible with select Switch 1 games, the company hasn't elaborated further on how that will work. This new phrase, and the way it's presented on this official Nintendo website, implies that it is an official term to distinguish between Switch 2-only games and Switch 2 versions of other games. Switch 2 Edition games could refer to enhanced versions of Switch games, though whether such a thing will exist or if there will be any upgrade cost remains unknown.

Ubisoft Makes Major Deal That Will Focus On Three Game Franchises

Game News - Fri, 03/28/2025 - 04:23

Ubisoft has announced a major change to its organization as it looks to the future, as the company has created a new "dedicated subsidiary" focused on three main franchises: Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six. Tencent is investing €1.16 billion ($1.25 billion USD) to take a minority stake (about 25%) in this new subsidiary.

Ubisoft said the parts of its business that are not included in this new entity, including The Division and Ghost Recon, along with development of certain new IP, will continue in parallel. However, it's unknown to what extent these changes could result in potential layoffs or studio closures.

"This new subsidiary will focus on building game ecosystems designed to become truly evergreen and multi-platform. Backed by greater investment and boosted creative capacities, it will drive further increases in quality of narrative solo experiences, expand multiplayer offerings with increased frequency of content release, introduce free-to-play touchpoints, and integrate more social features," Ubisoft said.
