How To Get And Use The Grow A Garden Night Staff

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 19:37

How do you use the Grow A Garden Night Staff? Well, it’s one of several tools in your arsenal to attract specific mutations onto your plants. They all have a fixed number of charges, so once they’re used up, you’ll need another one to continue redirecting weather effects to your crops. This shouldn’t be an issue for those with billions of Sheckles lining their pockets. However, it can be expensive for those who may need these tools the most.

The thing is, aside from one of the Grow A Garden weather conditions that you can manipulate with these tools, the bonus multipliers you get aren’t worth very much on their own. However, stacking multiple Grow A Garden mutations on individual plants is how you can turn a regular crop into one that’s worth millions, if not billions of Sheckles. So if you want to maximize your fruit’s value, here is how to get the Grow A Garden Night Staff and the other weather-attraction tools.

The Sky Merchant always appears once every four hours, and he's the one who sells you the Night Staff.Where to get the Grow A Garden Night Staff

There are two places where you can get tools to attract weather, but only the Sky Merchant has the Grow A Garden Night Staff. To find him, you’ll need to wait for one of the spawning merchants to appear once every 30 minutes and hope it’s the Sky Merchant. It does always appear once every 4 hours, so if you’re patient, he’ll eventually land his balloon in your garden. Typically, the Sky Merchant will have at least one Night Staff in his inventory, but if you can grab a Star Caller, the Celestial multiplier is 120 times the base value of your current plant. This is way more than the Moonlit Fruit’s multiplier of just double, though the Night Staff can also give your fruit the Bloodlit mutation during Blood Moon weather.

How To Get Grow A Garden Moonlit Fruit

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 19:37

As one of the first mutations you’ll probably get in Grow A Garden, Moonlit Fruit is somewhat easy to get if you know how. It may not be the most valuable mutation, only doubling each affected fruit’s value. However, they can get a large number of mutations simultaneously. So when combined with expensive plants and high-value mutations, such as Celestial or Sundried, the fruits you have are suddenly worth a fortune.

Heralded by the music changing to either Johann Debussy’s Clair De Lune or Eric Satie’s Gymnopédie No.1, this Grow A Garden weather condition is one of the few with a fixed time when it appears. Some items can help you focus the moon’s rays onto specific plants and pets that require no moon to spread this Grow A Garden mutation, so below are all the ways you can get Moonlit Fruit.

The Night Staff is one of those items that allows you to focus which of your plants to mutate with the Moonlit Mutation. How to get the Grow A Garden Moonlit mutation

The easiest way to get the Grow A Garden Moonlit mutation to your plants is to wait until a night cycle or the Shooting Stars weather appears. Night will always appear at the same six times in a day at 20:30, 00:30, 04:30, 08:30, 12:30, and 16:30 ET, and 17:30, 21:30, 01:30, 05:30, 09:30, and 13:30 PT.

Grow A Garden Gear Shop - Stock And What To Use It For

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 19:36

Eloise is the proprietor of the Grow A Garden Gear Shop, and the selection of items she has for sale ranges from handy to essential. Some tools allow you to reconfigure your garden, harvest fruits from a single plant, or salvage seeds to replant them later. However, she also very occasionally has top-tier sprinklers that increase the size and mutation chance for your plants, and lollipops you can feed to your pets to level them up.

It’s not just those items that can be handy to purchase. For example, your Grow A Garden pets will benefit greatly from having a tasty treat to snack on, while some items are used to make sprays that give you the power to spread Grow A Garden mutations. You can use them to craft other items of note, such as lightning rods to inflict the Shocked mutation on specific plants or Anti Bee eggs to hatch rarer pets. Here’s everything you need to know about the Grow A Garden Gear Shop’s stock.

Table of Contents [hide]It takes a small time for the Gear Shop to restock, though only some items will reappear every time. All Grow A Garden Gear Shop Stock

Of the options available in the Gear Shop, the most useful ones are the rare ones: namely, the Master or Grandmaster Sprinklers, Level-up Lollipops, and Medium Treats and Toys. The Sprinklers boost the growth and mutation rates over a wider radius for a short time, while the Levelup Lollipops, Medium Treats, and Medium Toys are for buffing your pets.

Grow A Garden Beginner’s Guide And Tips

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 19:33

Chances are that when you begin your farm in Grow A Garden, you’ll immediately see your neighbor’s plot and wonder how yours can be like theirs. Naturally, you’d think it’ll take a lot of work to get to that stage, and you’re half right. But there are a few tips and tricks we’ve picked up along the way to help you make the sparkly garden of your dreams.

Grow A Garden is one of the best Roblox games available to play on the platform, and one of the reasons why is that you can spend a few minutes tending to your plot before leaving it to do its own thing. However, unless someone is willing to donate to you one of their most expensive plants, getting started will take some grit. Here are some tips for the early game, things to focus on once you’ve made a bit of money, and all the more obscure mechanics that help you in the long run.

Table of Contents [hide]Sam owns the Seed Shop, which regularly restocks valuable seeds you can plant to earn money.Best Plants to buy in the early stages

When you’re just starting your garden, growing and selling carrots is a good way to make a bit of pocket change, as they grow very quickly. However, you’ll want to prioritize any plant that doesn’t disappear upon harvesting it before too long. Generally, they’re more cost-effective, meaning that you’ll recoup your money and won’t need to buy and plant replacement seeds.

Black Myth: Wukong's Next Update Is Massive, And You May Have To Delete The Entire Game

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 18:23

Game Science is rolling out a new update for Black Myth: Wukong this week, starting with PlayStation 5 on October 13 before "gradually" moving on to Xbox Series X|S and PC. The developer is also letting players know that this is a massive file that may require them to free up some space.

In a post on Black Myth's official site, Game Science notes that the PS5 patch is going to need 93.5GB of free space. While players should be able to continue using the current version for now without any issues, the post suggests that they may have to delete and reinstall the game if there isn't sufficient room for the update.

Dear Destined Ones,
A new update for #BlackMythWukong is on the way. In addition to regular bug fixes, it will also include some performance optimizations.
Due to a considerable number of underlying changes, we'd like to remind you of the following:

— Black Myth (@BlackMythGame) October 12, 2025

Similarly, PC users are warned that "your computer will need to reserve a certain amount of free disk space" in order to handle the update. Game Science also recommended uninstalling any mods to avoid any compatibility issues when installing the new update.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Is A Sad Reminder That Ubisoft Has No Idea What To Do With Sam Fisher

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 18:01

There’s a scene in Splinter Cell: Deathwatch--Netflix's animated adaptation of Ubisoft's stealth game series--where Sam Fisher casually walks in front of a security camera. As a long-time Splinter Cell fan this irked me. The Sam Fisher I know would never do something so careless, even if it was intentional.

The thing is, the Sam Fisher I know and love doesn’t exist. Maybe he did in the early 2000s, but Ubisoft has pulled this character in so many different directions over the years and he’s been diluted. In 2006, they killed Sam’s daughter and sent him to prison. In 2010, they made him a fugitive, and revealed that his daughter is actually alive. In 2013, they soft-rebooted the franchise and in the process stripped Sam of his dry humor and charm. In 2020, they added a version of him to Rainbow Six: Siege. They even put Sam in the most recent Ghost Recon games, and had the legendary Michael Ironside reprise the role. It's clear that although Ubisoft hasn’t forgotten about Sam, they have no idea what to do with him.

A battered Sam Fisher aiming a gun toward the camera.

This trend continues in Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, a new chapter in Sam’s long and turbulent history that arrives in the form of a Netflix series. Helmed by Derek Kolstad, writer on John Wick and Nobody, Deathwatch finds Sam off the grid in Poland. Portrayed by Liev Schreiber, this take on Sam feels hollow. He’s a man of few words, and everything he says is cold, direct, and calculated. He’s more in line with the Sam from 2013’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist’s than the original trilogy, and that’s disappointing.

FBC: Firebreak Had "Weak Sales" Despite Turnaround, Says Remedy

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 12:32

In June, FBC: Firebreak became Remedy's first self-published game as the company attempted to expand its shared universe that includes Control and Alan Wake. Remedy has previously disclosed that Firebreak's sales came in below expectations, but the latest report indicates that the game will cost the company a very significant write down.

Ahead of Remedy's quarterly financial report on October 29, the company shared an update that it is on the hook for a €14.9 million loss or approximately $17,234,085. Remedy notes that this amounts to "a majority of the game’s capitalized development costs," before adding that the company's cash position hasn't been changed by this setback.

Firebreak ran into trouble out of the gate with 1,992 players on launch day, which turned out to be its peak. Those numbers have since drastically fallen to less than 100 concurrent players per day. Remedy subsequently acknowledged that players were particularly unhappy with the first hour of the game and promised to rectify its shortcomings with a future update.

Assassin's Creed Shadows Sees Another Switch 2 Listing Pop Up

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 06:40

There's not been anything stealthy about Assassin's Creed Shadows possibly coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. The latest evidence pointing to a port for the action-adventure game popped up on a French retailer's website, though that listing has since been taken down.

Eurogamer reported on October 13 that Auchan had a listing up for Assassin's Creed Shadows on Switch 2. No release date was mentioned, though the box art on the French site said the version is a Game Key Card, a physical format that has been controversial since the Switch 2's release because it game data isn't actually included on the key card, it has to be downloaded from the internet.

In April, the PEGI ratings website listed Switch 2 as a platform for Assassin's Creed Shadows. On top of that, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot teased that the game would get "new versions that will come to other machines" in July. Assassin's Creed Shadows launched in March on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

If You Preordered Battlefield 6 Directly From EA, You've Been Compensated

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 04:43

Battlefield 6's rollout on publisher Electronic Arts' own PC app didn't go exactly smoothly, with players left unable to play on launch day. Since then, the issue has since been resolved, and EA is giving out free season passes and XP boosts for those who were impacted.

The issue affected players who had pre-ordered Battlefield 6 via the EA App launcher on PC. An outage on the app left those players high and dry for a good chunk of launch day on October 10. To make things right, EA has issued 12 double hardware XP boosts and 12 double career XP boosts to players affected by the outage.

In addition, EA is throwing in a free premium battle pass for Battlefield 6's upcoming Season 1. Those who already own the premium Season 1 battle pass through the game's pricier Phantom Edition will instead receive the Season 2 battle pass for free.

Canceled Avatar: The Last Airbender Fighting Game Is Back

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 03:58

A quietly canceled Avatar: The Last Airbender fighting game has been reincarnated under a new development studio, with a trailer highlighting what fans of the popular animated series can expect from the one-on-one 2D fighter.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (a working title) was revealed during an Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th anniversary panel at New York Comic Con, and is slated for a summer 2026 release. It will feature 12 playable characters at launch, with more to come as part of a seasonal release model.

While it's billed as a 1v1 fighter (and looks that way in the game's debut trailer), its description on Steam lists support characters that will influence a fighter's play style and grant new special moves. Some of the characters highlighted in the trailer include Aang, Korra, Zuko, Toph, Katara, Sokka, and Azula.

The Cast Of Baldur's Gate 3 Auditions For Each Other's Characters

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 02:00

Baldur's Gate 3's cast has been widely acclaimed since the game's release, from Neil Newbon's award-winning role as Astarion to Tim Downie (of Paddington fame) as Gale. But how would the characters--no, not the actors--do if they were auditioning for a different role in the game? We thought that sounded like a great idea, so we got some of the fan-favorite cast together and, potentially under duress, had them audition for new roles.

"I'm Gale of Waterdeep, and I am going to be reading for the role of Lae … of Lae'zel," Downie said. "I smell their blood on you, still! I smell your sweat!"Given that Gale is quite polite and a cat dad, it's tough to imagine him ever having Lae'zel's bloodlust, not to mention her sexual forwardness. That being said, we would very much like an entire game where that is exactly what we get.

Neil Newbon's Astarion, meanwhile, read for the role of Shadowheart, with Jennifer English standing by his side and physically forcing him to kneel: Kneel Newbon. Astarion seemed less than thrilled with the situation.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Showrunner Derek Kolstad Talks Games, Sam Fisher, And John Wick

Tue, 10/14/2025 - 00:00

The Splinter Cell series has effectively been on ice for well over a decade, and while we are still waiting for the Splinter Cell game remake to release, we do finally get to see Sam Fisher again with the launch of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch on Netflix.

GameSpot's Tom Caswell recently had a chance to sit down with showrunner Derek Kolstad--best known as the creator and writer on the first three John Wick films--to talk all things Splinter Cell, honoring the source material, and living up to the quality standard set by original Sam Fisher voice actor Michael Ironside.

So, first question, Derek, is to do with your familiarity with the franchise and video games. Are you a gamer? How much Splinter Cell did you play before sitting down to write this project?

Mortal Kombat 3 Movie Enters Development At New Line

Mon, 10/13/2025 - 22:40

In September, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema unexpectedly delayed Mortal Kombat 2 until next year. The sequel to the 2021 Mortal Kombat reboot had been planned for a release on October 24, and now is expected to drop in Summer 2026. But despite the extra wait, New Line is already moving forward with plans for Mortal Kombat 3.

According to Deadline, Jeremy Slater--the screenwriter of Mortal Kombat 2--has been signed to write the script for Mortal Kombat 3, which was officially announced at New York Comic Con. Slater's previous credits include Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, The Lazarus Effect, The Umbrella Academy, Marvel's Moon Knight series, and The Exorcist TV series. There's currently no word about whether Simon McQuoid will return to direct the third Mortal Kombat film as he did the first two.

There aren't any story details currently available, but it's possible there are some hints to be gleaned from the story beats of the video games the movies are based on. In the games, Mortal Kombat 3 brought Outworld to Earth, as villain Shao Kahn attempted to merge the realms and increase his dominion.
