RoboCop: Rogue City Expansion Will Let You Play As The Fleshy Version Of The Ultimate Cop
During Nacon Connect 2025, developer Teyon announced that RoboCop: Rogue City will be getting a standalone expansion. Called Unfinished Business, the new content sees RoboCop return to Omni Tower after an army of skilled mercenaries have taken over the building, and it'll be launching in the summer for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here's the first trailer for it:
While it looks like you'll have plenty of targets and challenging opponents in the expansion, it does add an interesting wrinkle in the form of flashback missions. These levels will let players step into the boots of Alex Murphy long before he had his fatal encounter with Clarence J. Boddicker and his gang in the 1987 film. Additionally, the levels featuring RoboCop will also give players access to new weapons, brutal finishers, and special missions.
RoboCop: Rogue City is admittedly a flawed game, but if you can overlook its rougher parts, you'll find that it's incredibly faithful to the source material and a fun blast of '80s action. Teyon had several post-launch updates for the game, including a New Game Plus mode that fans had been requesting.

The annual Nacon Connect event had several interesting reveals this year, from Lovecraftian horror to a RoboCop: Rogue City expansion, but a deep dive into Hell Is Us showed off some interesting ideas from developer Rogue Factor. Set in a semi-open world, Hell Is Us is an action-RPG where players can traverse a region under siege from supernatural creatures. The big draw here is an emphasis on satisfying combat and exploration, with Rogue Factor aiming to make the art of discovering new locales feel rewarding by stripping the game of maps, compasses, and quest-markers.
"Combat is only 50% of the experience. The other half of the game is all about the exploration, the discovery, the joy that's related to them, and how they play a central role in your journey," Hell Is Us creative director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête explained in a developer-diary video. "Unlike traditional games, Hell Is Us doesn't rely on quest-markers or a guided path. There's no magical compass pointing you in the right direction, and there's no quest journal with a shopping list of everything that you need to do and in which order. Our player-plattering approach encourages you to follow your own instincts, discover clues organically, and chart your own course through the adventure."

Mafia 2: Definitive Edition is a story-driven open-world game set in the 1940s, as war hero Vito Scaletta becomes entangled with the mob.
You can also redeem Crime Boss: Rockay City if you feel like gawking at bad gameplay and want to see Chuck Norris as the bad guy, and there's also Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master to round out the first batch of games. Tony Hawk 4's Remake Isn't Just Limited To Two-Minute Levels
When Activision revealed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 this week, the company didn't get into specifics about whether or not the two-minute time-limit structure from the older games will carry forward to the re-release. Now, developer Iron Galaxy has cleared up the situation.
The original Pro Skater 3 included a two-minute time limit to complete a level's challenges, but this was removed in Pro Skater 4; players could freely explore levels and complete missions at their own pace for its career mode. When Activision announced the re-release of 3+4 this week, many wondered if there would be a time limit in Pro Skater 4, with confusion stemming from product pages that mentioned a "two-minute format."
GameSpot understands that THPS 3+4 will have a shared feature set that aims to unify the two games. Objectives for players to complete will be based on a timer for both games. That said, the game has a Free Skate mode with no timer at all. The game also has Speed Run and Single Session modes.

Video game voice actors have been on strike since July 2024, and with no end in sight, members of the SAG-AFTRA union held their first picket of 2025 this week and further discussed why the issue of AI is so critical.
Resident Evil Village actor and member of the negotiating committee Andi Norris told Variety that picketing paused for a period due to the Los Angeles wildfires and "everything that the world is dealing with" currently. But picketers returned to the WB Games offices in Burbank, California this week, with Norris said the aim is to ensure that people understand that the voice actors are "still fighting."
According to the report, the two sides have come to terms on 24 of 25 items, with the one outstanding issue being protections against generative AI.

Ahead of its release later this month, Ubisoft has shared a few details on the graphical performance for Assassin's Creed Shadows on PS5 and PS5 Pro. This is the first Assassin's Creed game to be made specifically for current-gen consoles, and on PS5 hardware, there'll be three graphical modes to choose from. Ubisoft noted that PS5 Pro is the only console that supports extended ray tracing, which offers ray-traced reflective surfaces throughout the game world.
On PS5, players looking for a 60fps experience will want to stick with Performance mode, as this offers an upscaled 4K resolution and selective ray tracing that is used to compute global illumination for diffuse lighting in the Hideout portion of the game, according to a Ubisoft blog post. Fidelity mode offers upscaled 4K with standard ray tracing, but this means you'll play the game at 30fps. For the best of both worlds, Balanced mode is upscaled 4K at 40fps with standard ray tracing, but it does require a 120/240hz display and HDMI 2.1.
For the PS5 Pro, the specs sound more impressive as Performance mode is 4K upscaled with 60fps and standard ray tracing, while Fidelity mode is 4K upscaled with 30fps and extended ray tracing. Like the base PS5, Balanced mode on PS5 Pro also requires a 120/240hz display and HDMI 2.1, and it offers a 4K upscaled experience with 40fps and extended ray tracing.

Split Fiction has 12 side stories to discover. These are anomalies that occur in the world as a result of Mio and Zoe entering the same simulation. Razer tries to steal unfinished stories and ideas from the girls, and as such, there are some very weird occurrences going on.
Finding and experiencing side stories is a vital part of your Split Fiction experience, and you'll even get an achievement if you manage to find them all. They're split up by level, so we've detailed where they are and what happens during them. Almost all of them are easy to find, so we won't focus too much on location beyond which level they're in. If they're trickier to find, we'll provide more information on where they are.

GTA 6 Costing $100 Could Reward Players Too, Analysts Argue
Rockstar hasn't even released a second trailer yet for Grand Theft Auto VI, but that isn't stopping analysts from again predicting that the highly anticipated game should retail for at least $100. This time, Wedbush Securities--alongside well-known analyst Michael Pacter--are arguing this premium price point could benefit players as well by bundling in GTA Online currency.
In a Wedbush industry note, a prediction is made that Take-Two will sell GTA VI "at a previously unheard of price point." The game company "can offer consumers an incentive to pay $100 or more per unit by rewarding them with a large amount of in-game currency to be spent in GTA Online," write Pachter, Alicia Reese, and Kade Barr. What's intriguing about this proposal is the fact it's unknown what happens with GTA Online once GTA VI launches. Last month, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick suggested that GTA Online could continue with GTA VI's release, but theoretically alluded to it as a "legacy title." Meanwhile, GTA V just received an enhanced upgraded on PC earlier this month, with the old version subtitled Legacy.
The Wedbush analysts point to how Call of Duty: Warzone (and mobile) have helped lead "to a 40% increase in sales of Call of Duty premium," though Activision and Microsoft haven't confirmed those figures. As such, Take-Two can utilize similar integration to boost GTA VI sales. The Wedbush group isn't the first to posit that GTA VI could cost $100, though proposing this high cost could reward players seems new. Additionally, last year Larian Studios director of publishing Michael Douse noted that GTA VI could prompt a shift to more expensive games. One thing usually left out of this discussion is the fact many big-name new games already cost more at launch with deluxe and collector's editions.

During Split Fiction's Underlands level, you'll meet all manner of creatures big and small. Along the way, you'll encounter a rather distressed pair of bird parents, and their new baby, who seems to be stuck in their egg.
The path forward is blocked until you can help this family hatch their new child. To do so, you're going to need to complete a specific sequence of events that culminates in a log being flung at high velocity toward the new baby. Don't worry, they're okay.
The cute bird family in the UnderlandsAfter completing the side story for the area, head back towards the Piranha-infested waters and use the stalks to quickly jump to safety. Don't forget you can use the stalks to dash upwards if you're finding it a close call.

Split Fiction's Underlands are stunningly beautiful, but some areas are deceptively dangerous. Throughout the level you'll be faced with the challenge of piranha-infested water, and some of these aren't as easy to cross as they first seem.
The girls can shapeshift throughout this level. While Mio is safe in her "otter" form--which, if you ask us, looks much more like a lizard, Zoe isn't as lucky. If Zoe enters the water as a human, fairy, or tree, she will quickly become piranha food.
Wall running can save Zoe from piranhas. Some of the safe methods forward aren't very obvious. During the first area of piranha waters there is a short platforming section until you end up stranded on a patch of grass. While Mio can swim through the water, she soon faces a roadblock where Zoe needs to give her some help to life a barrier. At this point, Zoe should wall run on the left-hand wall. Don't worry, we forgot wall running was a thing too.
Continue Reading at GameSpotSplit Fiction - How To Escape The Sandfish
During the first Split Fiction side story, The Legend of the Sandfish, Mio and Zoe find themselves in a large sandy area with predatory sandfish swirling the area. Stepping foot on the sand around these shark-like creatures will cause almost instant death as they seek you out and attack, so it's important to work together as a team to overcome the problem.
The starting area of the sandfish puzzleThe way to cross the sandfishes' area is for one player to position themselves at a large column, which you can use to distract the sandfish by emitting loud pulses through the sand. While you're doing this, the other player should quickly dash across the sand to the safety of the next platform. As we discovered, there's a specific order you need to do this in to be successful.
To do this, start at the beginning and send one player to carefully traverse the wooden beam to the platform on the left. As that player uses the column to send a series of pulses out, the second player should head straight forward to the platform in the middle. When the second player reaches the platform, the first player should go back across the wooden beam to the center. You cannot reach the third platform on the left from the first platform as the distance is too large and there are not enough available pulse charges to complete it in time.

Sony is now allowing users in the UK and Japan to rent PS5, PlayStation VR 2, and PlayStation Portal devices. In the UK, Sony has partnered with leasing company Raylo for this, with plans covering 12-, 24-, and 36-month terms.
Plans start at £11/month for the PS5 digital slim model with a 36-month lease, and scale up from there for shorter lease durations. Leasing a PS5 Pro, meanwhile, starts at £19/month for 36 months, scaling up to £27/month for a 12-month lease. Sony also offers monthly rolling leases that allow players to cancel any time, but these are considerably more expensive (£36/month for the PS5 Pro).
This doesn't appear to be a rent-to-own program. The leasing website states that, "Your lease ends when you return your device, after your chosen lease term."

While December might be an odd time to release a game, some big ones have released during that month. These include games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, The Callisto Protocol, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
