Last night marked an exciting milestone for the UTS Playmakers Arcade, as the monthly event was hosted at Fortress Sydney for the very first time. The move brought new energy to this beloved showcase, creating a professional, vibrant setting for students, alumni, and industry professionals to connect, play, and celebrate game development together.
Our PhD students Marell and Qing recently represented our lab at SXSW Sydney, bringing their research, creativity, and skills to one of the world’s leading innovation and creative festivals.
Today’s End-of-Year Showcase marked another milestone in a tradition that continues to grow stronger each year. For nearly a decade, students from the Bachelor of Game Development and the Bachelor of Music and Sound Design have come together to explore, experiment, and create in ways that blur the boundaries between games and sound.
This year’s showcase once again highlighted the power of collaboration, featuring projects that combined imaginative storytelling, technical innovation, and rich sonic design to deliver experiences that both entertain and inspire.
