HDR successes at mid-year round of Candidature Assessments

We would like to congratulate four of our core UTS Games Studio members for recently achieving very important milestones in their research studies: 3 successful candidature assessments and 1 successful candidature upgrade to Ph.D.

For the past couple of years, they have been working very hard on cutting-edge research topics that range from "Serious Games for Hospitalized Elderly Patients", through the "Creation, elicitation, and measurement of emotional states in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality systems", "Autonomous Monitoring System for Geriatric Persons" to "Detection and Prevention of Accidents in Virtual Reality by Integrating a Brain-Computer Interface."

Today, we are very pleased to announce that these one-of-a-kind projects have taken a step closer to completion.

Project: Serious Games for Hospitalized Elderly Patients

Project: Autonomous Monitoring System for Geriatric Persons

Candidature upgraded to Ph.D. on the 17th of July 2020

 

PhD Candidate, Mr. Andres Pinilla Palacios

Project: Creation, elicitation, and measurement of emotional states in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality systems.

PhD Candidate, Mr. Carlos Tirado Cortes

Project: Detection and Prevention of Accidents in Virtual Reality by Integrating a Brain-Computer Interface.
