Seasons of Change

Overview: 

The objective of the game is to restore the seasons to their rightful state in each affected area. We have experimented between achieving this objective through undoing all the damage to each person and object in the level, and just finding an item at the end of the level to complete the restoration. After many self-playtests and feedback from other playtesters, we decided to implement a mix, having the season orb be the main objective to get to the next level while the restoration of the level as an optional objective if the player wishes to be a completionist. The environment will give clear feedback to the player on how well they are achieving these optional objectives by reverting back to their rightful state (eg: frozen snowmen unfreezing into native islanders). The main objective is made clear with quest instructions on the UI, with the main objective (finding the orb) in the top centre, with the optional quest count in the bottom left of the UI, specifically in the Summer level.
