The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is celebrating a significant achievement as three out of the five games shortlisted for the prestigious Best Student Game Award at SXSW Sydney 2024 are developed by its talented students. This recognition highlights the innovative spirit and creative talent within UTS’s Game Development program.

Two of the shortlisted games are from the final year subject, Game Design Studio 1, showcasing the high level of creativity and skill cultivated in this rigorous course. The third game, developed by the Playmakers Student Society, demonstrates the collaborative and community-driven approach that characterizes the UTS gaming community.
